--- Quote from: Ruby Chan on September 01 2005, 09:00 pm ---I remember that when I was younger, my Mum made me wear things like tights, knee high socks and tartan skirts that looked more like mini kilts....urgghh! As soon as I was old enough to speak my mind (hmm, about 5/6?) I put a stop to that pretty quickly, I can tell you!

My mom was like that, too. We used to have epic battles between us because she wanted me to wear a dress and I wanted a pair of jeans and a shirt. It took a while, but we reached a compromise eventually. She stopped forcing dresses on me, and I wore the occasional skirt.

Alexiel:
Hahahaha.... mothers.... their slowly losing their children... well, daughters specifically. but being as dense of a person i am, i still dont understand why they do it... other than fitting in with the latest trends? pfft. :shifty:

DoRKyLOo:
Maybe it's because to them, we're like live dolls they can play dress up with . . . When we were all little they could put us in what ever cutsie little outfit they wanted to, and we didn't have a say in it. Now that we've all found our voices . . . Our poor mothers have found out that their dolls don't want to play dress up anymore, and that must be hard thing for them to accept.

Alexiel:
hahaha nicely put! cuteness turned into maturity. xD

My mom lost me at the age of 6 and I'm not going back! I was born a tomboy and I'll probably die a tomboy! I'll probably be the only 80 year old who insists on fixing her own plumbing and car parts!
