Well, this thursday premiered Uggly Betty, but I don't know in which channel it was.Â

Anyway, I watched it since that series orginated from a latin soap opera (novela) that was a big hit. The series is about a young woman (America Ferrera, I think that's her) who is well, uggly. She starts working in a fashion magazine company, where everyone is fashionable, while she isn't. The series is very funny and the guy who appears there (the guy who she has to work for), Daniel (I think) is Kiut!

Well, wat do you think? Loved it? Hated it?

this series was aired like years ago in my home country's television, and I only know the title as 'Betty La Fea'..........and I'm not really following actually, just sometimes watched when my mom watched it too. But my friends back then really like it, they said it's funny and the story is good as well. But for me, it's no comment

So is this Ugly Betty the same series as Betty La Fea coz I've seen that one years ago and it's really funny. Betty La Fea will have a re-run in one of our country's local channels this month.

Betty la Fea! Yes, I loved it. It was on the spanish TV some years ago, a lot of audience...
It was so funny! It's the only soap opera I watched from beggining to end.
Curiously, I know more men that liked it than women... I don't know why...

I saw it on spanish on univsion. I barely understood it because I don't speak spanish only italian and portuguese.

Betty La Fea is a nice telenovela, actually. It was one of the few that I really appreciated. It's all fluff and comedy, but it's lighter than the rest of the shows that I've seen.

I haven't seen Ugly Betty but I watched Betty la Fea, it's an excellent novela!!! I love it lol... the novela is from Colombia and that country has many good novelas... Mexico made a second version of it "La fea mas bella" and it's a horrible version, I hate it and this Ugly Betty is the third version... I have to wacht it and make my opinion hehe... oh and its on ABC.

Bety La Fea also aired here a long time ago, but I didn't follow it really, since i don't like soap operas. It was very popular here though, and the only thing I liked from it were the funny moments...

^ Hala, fan ka rin pala ha... I hear Ugly Betty (Betty La Fea) even had a sequel, but I won't delve into that

Its about a girl who is well uggly, but very inteligent, and starts working in a fashion industry, in the original novela, she gets a makeover and her boss falls in love with her.

I had "the chance" to watch many episodes the last Saturday XD it is cool, a well adapted version for the USA audience... but you must watch the original Colombian aaah

so sweet and funny you wont find any better version than the real story.
