weird, I have a topic exactly the same as this I started on my schools anime club forum ^^;

CCS merchandise. hmm well you see, I have something that isn't actually official merchandise, but it is something that is in ccs that I kinda count as merchandise. I have plently of official stuff but my fav thing is a present from my best friend.
A sword. A  real chinese sword that looks just like Syaoran's!  :XD:
I love it SO much  :inlove:

yes, it is real, therefore sharp, I have destroyed my lampshade and left a few gashes in my wallpaper.
sorry the photo isn't that great quality, oh and Its really old. The sword has since been moved to the opposite wall ^^;



bring on the cosplay! XD

it really looks like the one Syaoran had in CCS! definitely a good cosplay item..

but you got to becareful with it.. cant you make the sword edges blunt? so that it will be safer to use..

Wow! That is SO cool!
And I thought those swords they sold at animeusa were cool!
I can see why your lamp shade is destroyed, it must be hard not to swing around.

I think it may have been blunted slightly but not enough for it not to cut things.
My lampshade is only a Oriental paper one so to be honest most things would rip it  :sweatdrop:

its real fun to swing around, the red tassles are the best!
What you can't see is there is some awsome writing engraved on the blade near the handle. Theres a dragon and a pheonix with a little Chinese writing near them.
Some time I hope to get someone to engrave 'Syaoran Li' into the blade near those.  :keke:

Unfortunatly I'm not as good at using it as Syaoran... but I've only ever cut my own arm once and almost chopped off someones ear  :heh:

Yep, that's what I was thinking.
I suppose if you were really creative you could paint it with some sort of special paint to make it look like a metal blade.
I kind of like the cool wood look of it though.
Now if I could only have someone teach me the martial arts movements to use it! One of these days.........

I'm really curious about the length compared to the wooden ones I'm looking at.

sure, I'll get it measured as soon as I can (I am at school at the moment)
I need a black bead too actually, thats all thats missing

EDIT: I measured it and its roughly just over a metre, its about 1m 10 I think...

I just got Tsubasa books 6, 8 and 9 in the mail today! Yeah for animegamersusa.com!! They are FAST!

I've read 6 and 7 already and am halfway through eight now.
I got the deluxe with sweet sweet Touya on the front.
I'm catching up!

Can't wait to get the deluxe edition of 10 with Seishiro-san. Hmmm......
I wonder, does the actual Seishrio-san come with it?  Maybe if I pay extra????

Almost all of them came from eBay...straight from Japan. Shipping can be a killer but with multiple packages they usually combine shipping costs so it turns out pretty good :)
