Just got it last December.
I wish they had Yukito and Touya plushies.

I also love my Clow cards and Sakura cards.

And I just got the first issue of Clamp No Kiseki with the Sakura and two Mokona chesspieces. The magazine that comes with it is really cool and the chesspieces are really nice quality. They sell it at Borders.

I got my Syaoran plushie on ebay too. My computer crashed the second
after I put in my bid and it was ending in less than a minute!
I didn't know if I won it until I restarted my computer and got back to ebay.

And I had a Li doll with a sword and everything but the only thing that I have now is the sword. LOL! It's also in my room, but ever since I moved I lost the body.

The chess pieces come with the magazine CLAMP no Kiseki. The first volume appeared April 12th in the United States. Please beware the price of the 32 page magazine + chess pieces is $29.99 :wink:

The magazine can be found in the United States at WaldenBooks, Boarders and comic book stores, in addition to online stores and at TokyoPop's website store (TokyoPop is the U.S. translator for CLAMP no Kiseki.

The magazines come out every other month. Issue one is now available and I believe it's up to issue four in Japan.

Yes. With the magazines, all 32 pieces will be available. Mokona(the white) and Modoki(the black) are the pawns. Sakura and Tomoyo are the queens. Bishops are Watanuki Kimihiro, Subaru Sumeragi, Misaki Suzuhara and Seishiro Sakurazuka. Syaoran is one of the kings...the rest I don't know though I can find out later on :wink:

I bought the first set at Borders a couple weeks ago. The detail on the Chess Pieces is really nice!
I can't wait to get the next set! That little Watanuki is SO cute.

I'm pretty excited about them, as the quality of each piece is really nice.
They are a little bigger than I thought they would be also.
I was picturing something pretty tiny until I actually got them and saw the size.

All of the magazines and chess pieces will be out in Japan by the end of August, so you could order from yesasia or something.
In the U.S. one magazine comes out every other month, and we just got the first one last month, so it will be a LONG time before they are all out here.
There are 12 magazines, and Fai, Yuuko, Kurogane, and Syaoran are in the last three magazines!

On the plus side, you can read the magazines that are put out here in English.
The first one has lots of really cool info and profiles and such.
But I will probably order a few of the ones I really want from Japan, because I can't wait so long to get my favorite pieces, like Fai, Yuuko, Syaoran, Kurogane, and Nokoru!

In Japan, the chess board is sold with a container that also holds all the magazines.
I don't think the chess board is anything real special. I thought it would have characters or designs on it, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly plain.
I don't know if they are going to sell that in the US or not.
You can usually find the board and holder on ebay.

You know, I'm really not sure.
If you type in search.ebay.com/clamp-chess you'll probably get one.
Don't know if they will tell or not though.
I think most boards (that aren't Really expensive) are made out of some sort of thick board and covered with a plastic lamenate or something.

Just make your own cool Clamp board out of foam board!

CCS merchandise. hmm well you see, I have something that isn't actually official merchandise, but it is something that is in ccs that I kinda count as merchandise. I have plently of official stuff but my fav thing is a present from my best friend.

yes, it is real, therefore sharp, I have destroyed my lampshade and left a few gashes in my wallpaper.

I think it may have been blunted slightly but not enough for it not to cut things.
My lampshade is only a Oriental paper one so to be honest most things would rip it :sweatdrop:

its real fun to swing around, the red tassles are the best!
What you can't see is there is some awsome writing engraved on the blade near the handle. Theres a dragon and a pheonix with a little Chinese writing near them.
Some time I hope to get someone to engrave 'Syaoran Li' into the blade near those. :keke:

Unfortunatly I'm not as good at using it as Syaoran... but I've only ever cut my own arm once and almost chopped off someones ear :heh:

Yep, that's what I was thinking.
I suppose if you were really creative you could paint it with some sort of special paint to make it look like a metal blade.
I kind of like the cool wood look of it though.
Now if I could only have someone teach me the martial arts movements to use it! One of these days.........

Got my Sakura cards from China and I've bought from Japan a couple times.

I can't handle that kind of thing, I find it hard to trust internet shops. ^^; especially ebay
although, my friend got the ccs second movie, the proper Japanese version with all the original cover art in pretty good condition from there....

The two 8" EX figures I bought recently, now those I did take a chance on from a guy who was new to eBay and had a rating of 1 but he combined shipping and I got them in less than a week so I gave him a glowing positive.

My trick to eBay: get the info on the seller, email them if you have any questions and once you win the auction, immdeiately send payment. Once you do that, they'll treat you right pratically every time and your reputation as an eBayer goes up big time :)

1. I hunt for bargains on eBay and go for the lowest possible prices. Since I have a good idea what the value of the items are, I'll only bid so high depending on availability and rarity.

Japanese games (or as we call import games) can NOT be played on U.S. version games systems...at least not without a little change in the program. My Playstation has a modification in it that allows me to play the Japanese versions as well as copies too.

There are several games of CCSakura on systems...I'm thinking about 5 or 6. PS2 receltly released one with the EyeToy (that little camera that lets you physically interact with the game). I'll post pics of the games if I can find them :)

I've bought plenty of Japanese CD's and they all play in my CD player.
For some reason one won't show up on my computer desktop when I put it in, but I don't think there is any kind of region coding on music CD's.

As far as the computer desktops, most likely your computer can't identify the music since it's from Japan however I re-titled all the songs and themes and were able to load them and record them onto a CD-R :)

Yeah I know...though CARDCAPTORS wasn't all that bad.It was still but I still like it a little.I will buy a sustitled version.^^For some reason I don't know if it's just me but Syaoran's head is a little bigger in CARDCAPTORS....i find that a little strange..lol.

Yep, I already have books 6, 8 (deluxe edition), and 9 in Japanese.
I have the translations, but I also just love to go through and look at the artwork!
Kurogane's facial expressions are so funny and book 6 is probably my favourite.
I'm waiting for it to come out anytime now in English.

Our Borders always has the Clamp no kiseki out early, but for some reason they are slow getting out Tsubasa and XxxHolic.
I'll keep bugging them though.

You got it. My understanding is that they're waiting for the anime to finish the season before possibly coming up with and/or releasing figurines or plushies.

I already had the Sakura doll but I never did have the other 2 in minty condition. Very nice additions and only cost me $3 on the average per doll.

The epiosdes you're buying are TEH BOOTZ and you can get the exact same one and the two movies for half that price off eBay.

I don't trust Ebay. I have no idea if the DVD's are scratched or if the person will even send me the merchandise. I'd rather pay more and know that they're brand new and in good condition. Guess I'm weird that way.

I've been doing eBay for years and NEVER have been burned on it. It's all about knowing which people/companies to deal with and knowing their profiles and history. If you want to pay more money for a bootleg of the series, that's fine but don't say it's at a 'low low price' since it's THREE TIMES more than what it sells on eBay :)

On my latest set of figurines, this one is one of those frustrating ones to put together. For those not familiar with the Japanese figurines set, they come unassembled in several pieces. In most cases, they're easy but this particular one...AAARGH!!

Her arm holding the vine keeps falling off (clips to her body and the ground) and Kero doesn't want to balance in the flower too well. Once I got it perfect, then Sakura would fall over and knock out all the sunflowers behind her. AAARGH!!!

After an hour or so, I FINALLY got it. Guess the frustrations of putting it all together was worth it because it is a rather nice figurine :D

Some of the big sellers have online shops that can usually find the stuff for you without doing the eBay and bidding thing. That's how I got a couple of my last CCS figurines :)

This isn't looking good. According to the seller, he mailed these out to me via the Hong Kong post office on August 28 and I still haven't received them, nor has the USPS seen them. Looks like the seller will use caveot emptor as his way out of it. Hopefully it can still be resolved and I won't be out $85. :(

It is the CCS boxset volume 1 I guess. And it came from Hong Kong. Also, my currency is $ not pounds. The whole box is written in Japanese, and I can't read kanji, katakana, or hirogana. So that's all I know about the set.

OK, I don't think it's the same DVD box that I got , but in a way it might be the same.

They are really expensive, but the box looks lovely. The first vol of the DVD comes with 2 bonus DVD's showing extras where as the last vol. comes with a colourful book.

Also if you get a first press, then it comes with 2 lovely clear files. I have only got the first press of vol.1

There are coupons in each DVD boxset. If you buy all 3 volumes of the DVD, then you can exchange the coupons for a Sakura figure, but too bad thats only available to Japan.

No problem, yeah they are expensive because they are high quality Japanese items. I can't really afford vol. 2 or 3 unless I don't spend a penny for months!

Good news...they're not too expensive at 60 Euro (about $73).

Bad news...the 50 Euro shipping is a killer (about $62)

Now I'm debating on getting them. I want them but the $135 is a big chunk of $$$ :(

Got the four dolls today...THEY ARE GREAT!!! The Italian toy company that put these out did a lot of detail, especially in the hair. These dolls have LOTS of hair but they caught Sakura's hair style perfect :D

I'll see if I can get a pic of all four soon. The pic shows her in the red dress costume. No staff but she's wearing wings. Second one in the pic has her in pink pajamas, along with a Sakura pillow and Kero slippers.

The other two (not pictured) has Sakura in a blue chinese-type clothing with Kero slippers and a stuffed Kero doll. The final one is her school uniform, complete with the optional rollerblades and knee-pads. Each doll has a card and a cut-out medallion of the symbol of Clow Reed.

$110...cost a bundle but worth every penny :D

I do have lots of scans of cel pictures over in Arcademan Universe. I'll be adding more soon...roughly about 250 or so cel pictures :)

Got it in the mail today. Only one word describes the DVD set...SWEEEEEEEET!!!. 9 high-polished DVDs all in clear plastic DVD holders put together as a book. The cover is the Book of Clow and then the outside of the set (pictured). Interesting that all of the DVDs say 'Pioneer' on them (since they're now know as Geneon) but this is the nicest DVD box set that I'll never watch :D

I'm proud of my collection (and this doesn't even count the 5,000+ pictures I have as well LOL!!!) :D

Arigatou, I bet your collection is 10 times larger then mines lol, although that photo needs updating because it was taken on 07/01/2005 which is over a year ago (in the UK, we usually write the day before the month, so 07/01/2005 means 7th January 2005) I need to take a more recent pic and add my other CCS stuff recently purchased.

The cape...actually the entire costume is part of the set. Two costumes...one in basic Sakura mode and one in battle mode :wink:

The resin statue...tempted but no. Those familiar with them...they come in pieces which have to be painfully pieced together and glued in place. One that's done, then you have to paint them yourself since they come unpainted. If you into puzzles, have time to kill and are a very good painter (which alas...I am not) then this may be the thing for you. As you can see...I made it my latest avatar.

As far as the LD set...a fellow member in another forum provided me some links to see more pics and auctions of the CCS LD sets...apparently the $998 is a good price for them. I'd love to get them just to have but I'm not made out of money...especially THAT much.

I love CCS but not THAT much LOL!!! :D

Yes, I have them as well as the other Sega series figures. Some can be a tad costy but their detail is worth the cost. As I always say, pictures don't do them justice :)

Even though the official Japanese version is out of print, I think there are many other versions still in print, though I'm not sure.
Yeah, it's a pain when I can't use paypal or my bank doesn't do money orders because international sellers only used those type of payments, where as I can only pay by UK cheques >.<", therefore I can only buy from UK sellers, oh well... I got to pray that one day a UK seller will sell their Star wand (don't care if it's 2nd hand as long as it's in a good condition) and then try to win the bid.

eBay, as always. The Sakura diary was $5 however I got caught in a bidding war for the Kero diary. All said and done, that one was a wee bit higher...$20 but I made some of it up since both were from the same person and he combined shipping and saved me an additional $5 :)

$100 (which BTW is the suggested retail price) for CCS: The Clow Book is a tad high. Overstock.com has them in stock for $64.13 plus $1.40 s&h:

Wow!! Yeah that's what I was thinking you guys were talking about. Overstock.com really does have good deals on the Clow book its like 35% percent off the retail. I might just buy the Sakura book because I need to get vol. 10-18. I might have to wait until overstock gets it back in stock though. I would rather pay like $70 instead of $100.

That's understandable however I've been using Overstock for awhile and it's pretty reliable. Plus, if they don't have it in stock at the time you order it, they'll refund you plus give you $10 off your next order (which is how I got The Clow Book for $54) :D

Overstock really is reliable! I've been ordering from it and I'm been getting all my CCS dvds from there.

So they really refund your order if you order the product when its out of stock?

Their policy is they must deliver the item ordered within a specified time (between 20-30 days). On two occasions, either they didn't have the item in stock (when I first tried getting the Clow Card DVD set) and on another when a pre-ordered item was delayed by the manufactuer. In both cases, I was given a total refund plus a $10 off any order code, as long as you order something that day. Overstock has more than proven their reliability to me :)

HOWEVER...

Looks like the deal's dead. The person selling it decided to stiff me, along with at least 4 others. No emails or nothing and now I'm filling out the old eBay and PayPal forms to recover my money. From the reports on this person, it looks like he walked with at least $500 from eBay bidders. He is now no longer a registered user and since his personal info was used to establish a PayPal account, I'm sure he'll be in some big time trouble.

My first bad transaction on eBay...I knew it would happen eventually :(

Congrats on owning the whole Japanese and English version of CCS.

I use to own the English version of Cardcaptors ep.1-24, plus first movie, however I sold it to someone, but anyway they were R2 VHS' and I prefer to replace them with the R1 DVD's (thats if I can get a multi-region DVD player. All I need is the final Japanese boxset oficially imported from Japan in order to have all the episodes ^^

I have CCS biligual vol.2, my friend bought it for me.
And I also have Cardcaptor Sakura the 2nd movie in japanese. I bought it in Japan about 7 or 8 years ago...(I think) I was in 3rd grade.
It came with a card with Sakura and Syaoran in their play costumes and above it says "We'll be together forever". This would have to be my most favorite!^_^~ Brings back memories of my childhood friends when we were still living in Japan. (We used to watch CCS together^_^~ *sniff*)

Well, it sucks living in the UK when I want to get some CCS merchandise. I get some of my CCS stuff from Anime cons and events, but the majority of stuff they have there are poor in terms of CCS.

So I usually get my stuff online. Most of the time I get my stuff from YahooJapan Auctions (they have alot of rare CCS stuff, but the shipping price does eat your money at times, but whats good about it is that none of the stuff are bootlegs or pirate copies ^^)

You should try some good online retail sites since they do have alot of good CCS stuff (but watch out for pirate/bootleg copies.

There are also direct sites like PlayAsia and YesAsia who have CCS (as well as TRC) merchandise however those places generally cost much higher. YesAsia does give free shipping for orders over $50 so in the long run, that helps.

They're known as CLAMP Cardcaptor Sakura HG Sega Figure. There are two sets: the ones pictured here and the 'Pearl' version, which are painted softer and brighter. You can find them for about $20 per item, the pearl versions a little bit higher.

Those were the 2 boxsets containing Laserdiscs #10 thru 18. I already have the first 2 containing Laserdiscs #1 thru 9. Simply outbidded on them and I wasn't prepare to pay the big $$$ for them. Not all bad news: I did get the CCS First Movie LD for $9.99 + $11 S&H:

I already have the Sealed Card Movie LD.

Hopefully I'll get another chance to complete this collection. The artwork, which is the same on the LD covers as the DVD covers but super-sized are a gorgeous site to behold.

I still have it 2 soemtimes i like to play it with my brother. I always end up beating him tho i need someone else to play it with. I also really like this puzzle that i bought in this one store. Its not official or anything so im lucky to have it. Its really cute i glued all the pieces together on cardboard. :)

Boy, if I knew how tough it was for me to get the first bookset (sealed books 1-3) after I gave you mine, I would've thought twice. There are very rare to find. In contrast, the second bookset (sealed books 4-6) is easily found. Lucky for you, I found two sets ;)

I get about 90% of my stuff from a little place known as eBay. Have a few sellers there I trust in getting some of the CCS merchandise for me and my ever-growing collection though I'm at a point where I'm running out of unique items to add to it but I look daily ;)

Everything in my collection are official lisence items from Japan with a few from the US. I DON'T like buying bootlegs just to make my collection look bigger because it would not feel like a proper CCS collection.

Don't own it but I heard it didn't translate well to blu-ray. Plus the fact the Japanese set of CCS is not worth the money even to the eyes of this collector.

However they are large cause the group that released them doesn't know how to encode properly. 122GB for the 1080 rips + 12gb for the first movie. Ouch

There are 70 episodes and 122GB which comes out to ~1.4GB per episode. That doesn't seem too bad, if it's blu-ray.
