Title: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Miss Jenni-Maie on May 26 2005, 12:04 pm
Quick Question!
What's everyone's favourite Final Fantasy game?

Mine would have to be FF7. I've had that game for around 8 years and I've never gotten tired of it.
Holy crap...8 years....crazy. Mostly because of Sephiroth...he's my favourite villian ever.

Although the game with the best graphics I would think would be FFX....I haven't played XI so I can't say if it was any better.

FFVII is definatly the Best one allround, but my fav is FFVIII mainly because Squall and I were so alike when i started playing it , you could say i literally "took up the role as Squall" and i loved every moment of it (especially sinve VIII was my first FF Game) and naturally VII was my 2nd FF game and i loved that to bits too, i loved going over all the little bits and bobs and secrets.

i really hope that they remake that game with good graphics like they did in teh PS3 Production Trailer of FFVII preview (they showed the very start of FFVII is AMAZING Graphics) here is the link for it  HERE  (http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/finalfantasyvii/media.html) seriously i know its only a tech demo but god i wish they would do it in such awesome graphics, ya know they probably did THAT game just to make us want it even more !! EVIL !!!

and i also loved FFIX that was just a really cool storyline and i couldn't get enough of all the places to go and it just made me wanna play more and more, i also used to be a big fan X and X-2 but due to personal problems and character relations i decided to change my view and hate it ... a lot

and i played FFXI at a EGN Expo i went to last year where they had the game running on Lan, i thought it was alright but the controls were so complicated and i care not to buy it for teh Monthly Rate, i think Squaresoft is pushing it a bit there...

i have also watched the trailers for FFXII and i am SO Looking forward to it, it looks so big (reminds me of FFIX) and it looks like it could give some great story, also i can sense the relationship between teh main male character and female character to be a plot twister ... i think i read somewhere they could even be brother and sister so w00t for incest (this is mainly hypothesised)

and wow Advent Children looks SO Awesome, here's a new trailer for it (not new, more latest) right HERE (http://down.videogamerx.net/news/20050516/ff7adventchildren.wmv)

FFVIII definitely. Goin through 4 discs is worth it, and the story is so good!  Even though FFIX is my first FF game, FFVIII is still the best. Probably second is X-2, yeah, Yuna rocks with those guns! :D

and i'm just saying because you said FFXII was the new one out right now, but i don't think its released outside Japan yet. so technically its not out yet  :tongue3:

but at the rate the Final Fantasy Series is going i doubt they will ever finish, can you imagine "Final Fantasy two hundred and four" ? XD
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: lika-chi on May 27 2005, 11:58 am
204!! lmao.. i think i'll be dead for like 100s of years already.. but for FFXII the characters remind me of the characters from FFX a lot..

my friend says they look exactly alike.. o.O so probably future ones, the characters are going to be similar but the games are different.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: monkey on May 27 2005, 12:01 pm
well the simple reason they look alike if because they are using the same character engine as XI and X-2 so of course the look similiar. i'v played X and X-2 to a point and i can't say that the characters in XII look alike to them .. at all really .. i suppose they do look alike to people who havn't played other games but to us FF fans they look differen't :D
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: lika-chi on May 27 2005, 12:03 pm
haha my friend does play the game.. and she's the one who told me that.. lolz.. i don't really see they look the same though.. lolz and i don't play the game.. but they do remind me of yuna and tidus from FFX.. XD

i want to play the game though.. haha although i'm not a gamer for ANYTHING.. i really wanted a PS2 for FFX.. but i don't have one.. *sigh

urgh.. your right they do look like them *sighs ... waves hands* but please no relate them to that *bows* but try not to relate them to those characters because they arn't them !! they are new ones !!

blarg, here's some info on them from ffxii.net

xD

Vaan and Ashe totally sound like Vyse and Fina from Skies of Arcadia. Well, Ashe is a bit different...but it's close enough. :p

Anyways, FF6 was definitely my favorite of the FF RPGs. I mean, you had 15 characters to choose from. One of which was the legendary SLAM DANCING MOOGLE. I think that's a win right there. Plus it had Kefka, the most unapologetically insane genocidal villan ever. He had a spiffy fashion sense as well.

FFIII, FFV and FFVI are my favorites.

i think so far the best graphics has to be FFXII [12] ! u guys should check it out http://www.1up.com/do/media?cId=2006397
and yup, just like i mentioned  Here (http://www.capturedwings.net/forums/index.php?topic=633.msg20004#msg20004)
teh graphics for the trailer is amazing. i am really excited about this game. can't wait till they dub all the voices and release it here !

and maybe they could do the same thing teh .Hack// games did, like when you finish the game you can replay it with Japanese Voices ?
like the original Voices to the Text. or you could select that before playing (English or Japanese)

plus i wanted to name the characters myself... does anyone know if you can do that no here ? because they are talking, do you think they would just dodge around the name like they did FFX or will they not let you Rename your characters.

and i have to say Oh My God teh trailer at the Sony Press Conference for FFXII is Totally AWESOME !! check the trailer out at   GameTrailers FFXII  (http://gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1684). this looks Phenominal !!
i am looking forward to thin game more than any other game.... i think ever.. *is huge modern Final Fantasy Fan*
  :haha:  :haha:

but i'm playing FFVIII and FFIX at the moment. i borrowed them off my neigbour cos i don't have FFIX (i've completed it before anyway) and my version of FFVIII is scratched cos i used to not take care of my discs (bad bad bad)
but now i remmember how much i loved them and how i used to think the graphics were amazing but now... they are rubbish, lol

Ahaha, FFVII has probably the weirdest graphics for me. Sometimes the cutscenes were like dunno...chibi form? 0.o...sometimes, they rose to full height. My sister used to call Cloud and the others whenever I'm playing the game "Lego blocks" >.<
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Shinigami Zero on June 19 2005, 01:27 am
FFVIII would have been excellent if the draw/junction stuff was handled a bit differently. I never really liked the return to enforced archetypes that FFIX made, but mainly since they only tended to go along the lines of more mundane classes. If we had gotten something really odd, like FFT's Calculator class....oh man, that game would have rocked.

FFIX was so great because of its old syle architecs. the whole style of the game flowed so excellently,
and not to mention i loved the FFIX's version of the card game. so addictive :D

I just referred to them as the "Paint Brush Hands"  people.  But FF7 was originally the first FF to be released on Playstation, and the graphics were pretty good for "that time"  (I feel like I'm talking about something that happened 20 years ago!) . And FFVII was the first Playstation (and Final Fantasy) game I had ever played and before that I was playing Nintendo so it was a little bit of a jump for me. Plus, I was only 6 or 7 and you think everything is amazing at that age. The people might have been easily compared to Lego-men but I loved the background graphics.
Anyways, I lost my train of thought again....and my point....stupid Flu.

I thought that the FF movie illustrated one every important fact: FF needs to stick to the fantasy roots of the series, especially for movies.

Can you imagine a Black Mage nuking everything in sight with those kind of graphics? A summoner unleashing mystical beasts to destroy the opposition? Swordsmen and Archers all over?

It would rock so hard...but we'll never see it, since the movie bombed.

FF Tactics definitely. All those chibi folks with homicidal impulses.. The switching from job to job, mastering them..

Next would be FFVII, it just broke my heart! :cries: Loved the soundtrack of that one.

FFVIII and FFIX would be a tie.. Different graphics, but the stories were just so.. COOL!

FFX, FFX-2 didn't really get to play them much.. But the graphics were just AWESOME... And am loving the AMVs done to them to bits. :)

AMEN! Finally! Someone who shares my opinion! Not only that, the lead guy DIED. It would have been fine sure, but, no, they have to kill him off, why can't it be just the old doctor. >.<

That's why I'm waiting for FFVII: AC. At least the main FF elements we know are there.

But I found out too much of the plot....so I feel I've ruined it for myself.

Pssh, I've spoiled it for myself.....
But I still look forward to it!

My favorite was FF8 since it was teh first FF ive played and LOVED! but my all time favorite is FFX and it wasnt becuz of teh graphics. the plot was pretty intriguing if you ask me and as always, I love Bahamut and the newcomer (was it) Anima. FFX-2 wasnt that big of a deal if you ask me... well, i played it and beat it but it was kinda disappointing -.- i never played a Final boss that was as easy as Vegnagun -.-

I think I defeated the final boss in FFVIII with that gunslinger guy. Irvine?  ^_^

I couldn't figure out how to balance or distribute the, um, whatchacall those (materia in FFVII).. guardians? elements? eheheh. So he became the most powerful one for me.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Ralea on July 09 2005, 05:45 pm
What's good about FF is there's a different battle system for each title. I found the sphere (FFX) one the most confusing. Tidus was branching away from the skill he should definitely learn, I had to go back!
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Alexiel on July 10 2005, 03:32 am
well, the Sphere Grid was probably one of the most impressive leveling up system ive played with! you can take advantage of the *no limit* for the stats so you can level up to teh point you see fit if you have enough sphere levels.

Ultimecia was a pain in the a**. Omega Weapon was definitely better for a boss. Ultimecia i just didnt like becuz her attack combo with Hell's Judgement and Apocolypse right after seriously does damage. Omega Weapon was a challenge. I liked playing him over and over despite teh fact it takes me an hour to kill him Lol
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Ralea on July 10 2005, 10:17 am
Ultimecia was pretty easy for me. i didn't need to pull out my male characters, my female characters did all the butt-kicking. XD

Worst sidequests I had to go through was in FFX. -_- Getting Lulu's weapon by dodging 200 thunderbolts consecutively! And that chocobo race! *groan*

Ultimecia is a sinch! Every time! Haha, the first time I had to fight her I was like, "whaaa? THIS is supposed to be the final boss?" Haha, I beat her with only attacks! Eaaaasy!
I had gone a little nuts with my magic and junctioning...I had an addiction to drawing magic, hehe.

My personal favorite was FFX mostly because of the ending. It's really what magic is all about, and I thought when (spoiler)Tidus jumped off/flew away at the end(/spoiler) was a defining moment in Final Fantasy games. I also really loved the blitzball mini-game, it's very creative.

FF7 was really good, too. The backstory of Sephiroth as well as Shinra and stuff was amazing. FF8 was memorable, too, and the original Tactics was a really fun game.

And about the song, J-Pop downloads are pretty rare on the internet. Maybe an Asian store like YesAsia.com will have some of his albums.

I think my favourite Final Fantasy would have to be FFX. I like its graphics and its FMV's   :keke:

FFIX wasn't so bad either. I enjoyed the character of Zidane lol. Such a strange boy/monkey  :hehe:

Zidane looked like a girl.
And his pants were too tight in...err...certain areas.

Meh, I don't really judge games by their graphics...I just think of that as a bonus. I go by the story line, battle system and replay value. Because I want a reason for killing people, I want to kill people with style, and I wanna know if those people are worth killing again!
Muhahahaha!

9 was awesome, i managed to beat the last boss in like a few hours since like so far through the battle the game glitched and my Eiko was only taking 1 hp off the boss EVERY turn. ONLY she were taking turns. it was good but took a good few hours !

But it happens on all four discs! It's weird!

But I still get all nervous...I'm afraid one day the games just gonna crap out on me! >_< I wouldn't appreciate that.

its happened to me plenty of times, i've just had to learn to keep saving lots of times. But it seems to just STOP when i need it most.
i.e Final Boss (or important boss) and at long cutscenes which can't be skipped. Ooh it drives me mental sometimes -_-

LOL! At one point I was so into the game and then  stopped playing for a few weeks. When I started again, I couldn't remember what I had to do  :dodge: So I had to start again. Man I got so mad when I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do..

The glitch I had was when  during I was playing FF8, where Squall and Rinoa where on the Ragnarok and "Eyes on me" was playing.
Show content
Rinoa revealed she was the sorceress
and then the music stopped. At first I thought it was part of the game, then nothing happened for like....1 hour! XD The screen froze!

I tried to go back to a save spot on FFIX and start the game from there however got lost real fast since I forgot most of the items and the scenery. Best to start from the beginning and go from there.

Hmm for my old PS, there was a glitch for FF8. OMG right near the ending when Selphie and Irvine were recording Rinoa and Squall on the balcony. O_O but before that, the system stops right when Disc 4 starts and I didn't save before it. T_T"

And I solely thank my cousin for lending me his PS *glitch free*. XD

I think some games only play well on the version of the system they were built for. Like when I tried playing FF7 on my PS2, it would freeze up alot, but it worked fine when I plugged my PSX back in.

I've noticed that, too. But now that my FF games are getting over the 5 year old line, it doesn't matter what system it's played on: It still died out on me.

Hehe, I found a site that has a whole bunch of FF Recaps. They are freaking hillarious.
http://www.videogamerecaps.com/recaps/
I just finished reading the one for FFX, and because of it, I'm going to refer Tidus as "Tightass" from now on, haha.
I honestly can't stop laughing.

I really liked FF7's story, so I can't wait to see Advent Children. My computer's too slow to download it, though. I guess I enjoyed all the FF games I've played except for X-2. I thought it kind of ruined X's ending. I mean I know X had a really sad ending, but it was very well done, and I think they should have kept it that way.

some people say they don't like how it looks, like they are too cartoonish or unrealistic.
some people don't like the stories (but people who say that can't be bothered to play the game through)

I'm not sure at all... :tard: I thought I would like it, since I'm so fond of Squares Secret of Mana-series,

Post by: Adarian on September 27 2005, 07:54 am
That can be a flaw though, especially in the case of FFX-2. I didn't care about it anymore by the time I was in the middle of the game. You can lose interests in games if they get too long and repetitive and generally have no replay value. Of course the better Final Fantasy games don't fall into this, but too long of a game is even worse than short of a game. Short and sweet is the way to go, in my opinion.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: monkey on September 27 2005, 08:34 am
how is FFX2 repetitive?
hardly, i'm at like freaking 99% and still finding new things in the game. the only reason I stoppd playing it and started to hate it was because of personal problems and situations.

shooting monsters, ITEMS!!

Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Adarian on September 27 2005, 11:35 pm
Blitzball is fun but not part of the story. Neither is helping the guys with their concert or whatever nor is the shooting monsters part nor any of the other mini-games. Are you that dense to think it's all related to the Zanarkand-Bevelle War storyline? That isn't even touched on until the beginning and end of the game. That's why FFX-2 got so low ratings.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: monkey on September 27 2005, 11:42 pm
so i'm dense now?
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Saiyuki on September 28 2005, 05:43 am
Woah! Cool it guys!
The game (like any other) had it's flaws and merits. Sure the plot hardly developed at all, but it was fun too play. I mean, it has a lot of replay value, because there are so many things you can miss, but after you get that you can easilly advance to the end. But they really could've worked on the story more, but...the game isn't that bad...

Anyways, as for final fantasy being hard, i don't think that's true. At least for me anyways...usually i'll only experience one or two hard bosses (or the extra optional boss which is stronger than the true boss). But the only hard one that i've played it FFTactics.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: Adarian on September 28 2005, 05:47 am
Yeah, I agree completely. FFX-2 had very good gameplay but just not a sufficiently developed story.

And I guess the difficulty of Final Fantasy is dependent on how good of a gamer you are. You're pretty good if you can beat FF games fairly easy. It usually takes me a few weeks to complete a FF game, and I had to use a strategy guide to beat Tactics, so I guess I'm not that good at RPGs.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: monkey on September 28 2005, 06:00 am
i loved FFX2 where if you kept finding the spheres you find out more about the backstory, its well worth the time playing it.

I'm pretty good at RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, I can complete them in a few days but give me a RP game like Strategy where you use a cursor and i'll fall defeat to everyone.

theres certain games i kick *** at and some i suck at, like i love my RPGs, Dance games, Fighting Games and Tactical Games.
i'm not so good at FPS and Strategy (liek C&C) but they are really fun to play anyway.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series

Actually, i don't play a lot, but i like to try and do everything, so beating it will take a while...but usually you can beat anything by summoning constantly.

All time favorite has to go to FFVI hand down. Great storyline, great character development, good replay value. It'd be awesome if Square Enix does a new version of this with the technology they have now ... but alast I hightly doubt it'll happen.

Be interesting to see how FFXII does. I didn't even bother to play FFXI.

FF6 was a good game, probably one of the first games of the series to really establish FF as one of the greatest RPG series.

And as for battle length, I think it depends on the battle system. I prefer more of an adventure style battle system like .hack and some of the Zelda games had because long battles there are usually fun, but if it's turn-based, it eventually gets somewhat repetitive, and it can get boring if the battle's too long.

Lol, turn based  batlle systems are for strategic purposes as Active Time Battle is for... well, speed? I forgot where I read this off of but that what I remember. I like both styles depending on the situation. As for the new one Square is making for FFXII, I liked what i've read so far. So I have expectations as a gamer for it. ^_^

I'm pretty sure it's not that much like kh, well, it will be sort of like it but only slightly. There is a lot more going on in this battle system. Like you can switch battle party leaders, the gambit system, and developing differently depending on how you train them.

Wow!  :hello2: I glad to see that so many like the Final Fantasy series here too. I've played FFVII, FVIII, FIX and FX but I have to say the my all time favorite is still FFVIII! :okay: It kinda reminds me of TRC actually. FF XI looks very interesting but I'm just not an online gamer so I haven't played it.  I'm really excited for FFXII! I think 2006 is going to be a very good year with the second season of TRC coming in April and FFXII coming in few months after it since the Japanese version is coming out in March 2006.

For the FFVII fans here, have you seen the sample video that was shown in Gamespot for PS3? It sure looked amazing even for an opening clip.  :okay:

That's great, though I'll probably have to wait ages for it to come out over here. I haven't seriously played the PS2 since FFX (Okay, there was this brief peroid where I was playing Shadow Hearts 2 but that's a different story) so I can't wait for FFXII to be released.

I skipped FFXI since I'm not much of an online gamer either but if it's really good I might just try it. Of course, FFVII was my favourite.

FF Unlimited was kinda weird to me... well, at least the graphics were good. The plot though, I was weirded out... There are too many different characters that i couldn't keep track of.

My brothers bought FFXI, they didn't play with it though. just something for a display. the box for it was just as large as an ordinary playstation box because of the something inside for internet connection. We were weirded out as well by the game itself... There are only 2 human beings that i saw in the game... X3

I can't wait for FFXII too...

Spirits within... erm, the main character was good! Aki was prettier than Rinoa! yeah *rinoa-hater here...* the graphics were okay, they look real enough. The story though... erm, I didn't like it. mainly because the guy died in the end. That's too bad...

The FFXII Demo is out (You need to buy Dragon Quest VIII first).

The battle system in use is ADB (Active Dimension Battle System) - The closest thing you can emulate this one is Knights of the Old Republic.

In a nutshell...

- Battles kinda occur actively.
- The "Gambit" system is an automated battle system whenever you're not controlling a character. This one allows you to set predetermined commands and have that character do it over and over again.
Example: Gambit is set to "Heal Self", that character is simply going to heal him/herself until you change his/her Gambit or take control.
- You can turn to Classic Turn Based system if you're not accustomed to ADB.

Now, onto questions on why fans are 50/50 on FFXII

- FFXII system resembles an MMORPG (FFXI to be exact) which is a huge departure to the classic format
- Character designs... you know this already (if you're going to blame someone, blame Nomura)
- Debates rage over onto the "waving goodbye to tradition".

Feel free to ask more questions.

I would of preffered them to stick to the incest story, LOL, vaan and ashe that is anyway.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to get the demo, I can't get it cos I'm not going to waste money on getting DQ just for the demo. I've seen screenshots and great reviews from some other forums tho. I don't think it looks bad at all, If anything, They are all improvements.

wait, is FFXII still an MMORPG? when we bought FFXI, we had to buy the whole system... i mean, so we can connect to the internet and stuff... is FFXII going to be like this again?!

>.< if it is, i'd probaby won't buy it...

FFXII is not an MMORPG. But the battle system resembles that of one, think FFXI Offline.

You move teh character around yourself right?
and your slecet when you want to hit and when you want to fall back and use items etc.
It gives you a bit more freedom i think.

It works like that. It's just that they miss the usual turn-base combat.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy Series
Post by: monkey on December 04 2005, 01:21 am
that seems pretty narrow minded and stubborn, If they want turn based combat they have the rest of the Final Fantasy games to play XD
I'm really looking forward to being able to play the full game myself.
I see nothing wrong with the battle system at all yet.

Hey guys! *snickers* Those who thought that FF movie: Spirits Within sucked, you should definitely check this out. It's in rm form so you need realplayer to view it. Do you guys think Square produced this?

The only Final Fantasy game I've ever played is Final Fantasy X-2. It's so fun! That's pretty lame that I haven't played any other games besides that one. That one was a sequel to FFX10.

Well, since we're bringing up FF Humour.

I've had this Fanfic on my computer for quite awhile. I don't know who wrote it, though (My brother tried to make me believe he wrote it. But he's always lying about crap like that.)

Maybe someone knows who wrote this?

--
Clouds' Story

"Avalanche, boy who the hell came up with that?" I thought to myself.

Anyway I flipped off the top of the train to the ground. I always did like looking cool. I looked down. Whoa there’s a dead dude here! Hey he’s got a potion. I looked around… nobody looking… I took the potion. Hey what can I say, my doctor said I’m a kleptomaniac, they don’t have a pill for that.

Okay so I started to run down the side of the train. Uh-oh some blue dudes are runnin’ at me.

Whoa what’s happening, things are beginning to swirl… Oh that’s means a battle scene, okay. I pulled out my sword.

"Let’s rock." I said. I ran over and slashed the left guy. He fizzled orange and disappeared…mmkay? You’ll never believe what the other dude did. He yelled out MACHINE GUN, and he fired at me. The bullets hit my shoulder pad.

"You bastard! No one touches my shoulder pad!" I jumped and slashed him and he disappeared too. He dropped some money so I took it…naturally.
I ran through a door and ran right into a dude.

"Whoa dude, watch it. Hey you used to be in soldier right? It ain’t everyday ya find one in avalanche." He said.

“Soldier, aren’t they the enemy?” A girl chimed in. “What in the hell is he doing in AVALANCHE?”

“Hold it, he used to be in soldier.” The guy replied. It’s at this point that I figured out that I don’t talk much for some reason.

“Didn’t catch your name.” He asked. WHOA DUDE there’s like a bunch of letters and stuff.

Uh I wonder if I move the finger to select… Whoops I hit delete! I don’t want people calling me Loud! Okay put finger on C and click, there we go.

“Cloud” I said. Whoa I didn’t even have to say that, my mouth just moved, it’s like programming magic!

“Oh. My name is-“ the man began.

“It doesn’t matter! Oh whoops I mean I don’t care what your name is because once this jobs over… I’m outta here.”

Whoa. I actually do talk.

“What da hell ya’ll doin!? I thought I told you never to move in a group!” Barret hissed.

“Remember to meet in front of the reactor!” As they all began to leave he turned to me.
“Ex- Soldier huh, I don’t trust ya!”

People can be so rude! Well for the thought of my own well-being, and that intimidating gun on his hand, I didn’t change his name, but I thought THE RUDE GUY! Might have been in order. He then told me something about running and Cancel buttons. How am I supposed to care what a guy who looks like Mr. T is talking about? I followed the guy down a couple hallways, when a dog and a blue dude attacked. I took care of their pansy asses, although the dog bit me for some numbers…?

I kept following them, and took a right. How come the fat dude seems to run faster than me?

We reached a locked door where Barret asked me if this was my first time. I told him no and gave him a “for example”. Then he said he didn’t mean “THAT” sort of first time. He meant in a reactor. I told him no and that I used to work for Shinra. He then gave me a long lecture on Mako Energy and why it’s earth caused or something. I really didn’t pay attention because I drank a 1-litre Mountain Dew on the train and I really had go. He then told me the other people’s names. I made a smart-*** remark and he insisted that he baby-sit me for awhile. Biggs and Jessie deciphered the codes on 2 doors and we were well on our way.

I ran over to an elevator. Jessie told me to pull a switch on the wall. On the way down on the elevator I could have sworn that someone grabbed my ***, but I couldn’t confirm this. Barret began to talk again and once again I didn’t pay any attention. I told him I just wanted to finish the job before the Roboguard’s came, because they can be bitches. Then Barret did this weird thing where he walked into me and disappeared. I left the elevator only to be confronted by 2 ray guns. I slashed off their barrels and continued. I had to run down like a million stairs or something before hitting the bottom.

In the next room Jessie told me how to go up and down a ladder. These people must think I’m a moronic, illiterate, piece of crap. Well, after taking my colleagues advice I climbed down the stairs, Ooohhhh, hard! At the bottom was a question mark thingy. I ran past it thinking it might hurt me.

Dammit another battle, am I the only one that thinks these things are randomly generated?

After walking down a long catwalk we reached a turning valve.

Barret asked me to set the bomb. It then occurred to me that I left the bomb in my other jumpsuit. Barret brought an extra one just in case. I then began to like see all red and this voice was like saying…

“Be careful, it’s more than just a reactor! You have so much to live for, imagine what it would be like without you!” That’s when I decided it’s a wonderful life. I set the bomb down. Then out of nowhere this giant scorpion thing came at us.

“Dude, this isn’t cool!” I said.

The thing Search Scoped me and locked me on target. I cast bolt on it to short-circuit it, while Barret shot at it. It hit me with it’s big *** tail and let me tell ya… IT HURT! I felt a tingly sensation. I screamed BRAVER for some reason and slashed the robot to hell.

While we all stood there waiting for something to happen I thought (Why don’t I continuously attack? I have to wait for my attack meter? Screw that!). It then put up it’s tail. I told Barret to hold off but like the good guy he is he attacked the damn thing! It shot out this high beam electrical laser.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZ Z!!!!!!!
OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I wonder if I’ll ever be able to have kids after that. As I laid there on the ground holding my, you know, Barret shot the thing dead on. It exploded and I managed to regain my balance.

We ran out of the place as fast as we could. I helped Jessie get her leg unstuck from something. Dammit how come all these NPCs (Non playable characters) can run faster than I can! Well we reached the outside of the reactor with 5 minutes left but the thing blew up as soon as we got out so I guess the timer thing meant nothing!

We all got out all right. Barret decided we should split up and meet at the Sector 8 station. I tried to ask Barret where that was but he said if it’s about the money to save it for later, this implying that I’m a hog who only thinks about money! I think of plenty of other things… I just can’t name any off the top of my head.

As I walked along the street a beautiful girl approached me. God I’d never seen anyone so beautiful. I decided to act cool.

“Excuse me, what happened?” She asked.

“Nothing…hey, listen…(I’m trying to act sensitive and stuff)… don’t see many flowers around here.”

“Oh these, would you like one, there only one gil?”

“Actually, do you have any cream that would make my balls stop hurting?”

“WHAT!?” She asked.

“Nothing! Yeah I’ll buy a flower”. Dammit! I’m a moron. Now she’ll never like me! I could hold her in my arms forever and never think another thought. She thanked me and walked on. I continued down the street until I came to an alley. Someone behind me yelled,

“Hey you there!” I turned to see blue dudes coming at me. I ran down the street. Pretty soon dudes were surrounding me. I only saw one option. Kick all their asses! But a train came below so I jumped on it instead. I crawled along the top of the train until I came to a door. I slid it open. I back-flipped into the train to come face to face with Barret. They all stood up.

“CLOUD!” They all screamed.

“Looks like I’m a little late.” I said smoothly. Barret then chewed me out, but you guessed it, I didn’t listen! Jessie wiped off my face and headed up the train.

As I moved up the train announcements could be heard over an intercom. I watched a hologram movie with Jessie on the Midgar Rail System. She explained to me about the ID check system and our fake ID’s. The red light flashed soon and our ID’s were checked. It’s a good thing they do it electronically and by numbers because the picture on mine was of a black dude. I tried to move up to first class but a guy in a red suit told me I was bothering the other passengers. Why is everyone so rude to me? Barret and I chatted awhile about the plate and Midgar.

The train pulled to a stop at the station and we all got off. Barret said to meet at the headquarters. I walked through a huge junkyard where I managed to step on some gum. I saw Barret throw people out of the bar across the town. I walked over to the bar and went in.

This little girl jumped off the counter screaming. “PAPA!” I guess Marlene is supposed to be Barret’s daughter. This is okay except for the fact that he isn’t white…?

To Be Continued.....

I recently watched Last Order againand I love it. Zack kicks total ***.

But I have a question
Show content
After the sephiroth fight, Hojo asks for Zack to be taken under the shinra mansion (where you find Vincent) and Cloud to do tests, After this we see a flash forward and see Zack and Cloud in a car and the Turks snipe and kill Zack, how did Cloud and Zack get there? and I kinda forgot how Zack died in the game, I know it was when his back was turned and it was dirty tho.
I really should play the game again, lol

If I remember correctly: Do you remember in the basement of the Shinra mansion there were those glowy tubes? Well, if you go up to them in the game and examine them you see something that looks like scratches in the glass that say "C: When do we escape? Z: Feeding time. That's our chance." Or something like that. Obviously, C is Cloud and Z is Zack. And then when you go back to the Shinra Mansion anytime on Disc 2 or 3 you get the flashback on what happened with Zack. So they break out when some Lab Tech dude opens up the 'cages' to feed them. How they specifically got  on the truck I can't remember worth a damn, ahha. Probably just hitch-hiked :tongue3:
As for Zack being killed, I can't remember worth a damn, either, haha. All I know is that in the game, the Shinra soldiers killed Zack and then let Cloud go cause they thought he was a goner anyway.

Damn, I really should play again, too, ahha.

and the car thing isn't in the game, That was a story change for Last Order.

and the car thing isn't in the game, That was a story change for Last Order.
.....Then I must have been taking some wicked drugs if I remember watching the flashback in the game. Cause I remember Cloud and Zack sitting in the truck and Zack is talking about what they're going to do in Midgar.

I know some things in Last Order were changed. . . but I know that was in the game. Blah, I gotta watch that again. And play the game again.
I gotta figure this thing out!!!

I agree with everything you just said. SoA luuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrve...

And...Kefka was just...whoa. Best villian ever. <3

Show content
And he kinda suceeded in taking over the world for a bit...

My favourite FF game(s) however are (In order): IX, VIII, VII, and X-2

I wasn't sure what to think of X. I hated the sphere grid system...Final Fantasy VIII was my first FF game and I LOVED it. How else could Zell have 2,500 HP at level 15 without the junction system? ^_~

Final Fantasy IX was just so different...I loved all the places you could go...

FFVII...well...duh. Bench mark game. I love it. Cid is THE best Final Fantasy character in my opinion, and tea drinking, smoking, cursing pilot. So much love for Cid.

oh man, final fantasy. i still can't beat ff8 if anyone remembers before i took a long break from the forums, i kept on trying to beat it. well, umm. i was just wondering like, is it necessary to make the weapons in ff8? because so far, i haven't and i'm at the end of disk 3 right before you take ragnarok and go into tears point.

Does anyone know anything about Itadaki Street Special and where/can you buy it?
It's only sold in Japan I think, so you'd need to import it i guess.

It's not necessary, but highly recomended. I would suggest you do, or you're in for some serious struggle.
Although, I'm the last person you should come to for FF8 advice, haha.

I stuck with the Gunblade all the way through, Everyone kept thier same original weapon, I found it no problem, Just lots of training kept me strong.
It was only on the next few playthroughs I started to actually make the weapons and getting the parts etc.

Man I love that card game...

It's optional, You don't have too.
IMO when I did it, I found it a waste of time since my Blade now looked ugly and not the same stats I'm used to so I found it annoying to work fights out with. But the elemental resists and extra abilites do come in equally useful too.

I think on my 5th or 6th time through it I started using an Action Replay to get through quickly and get super high strength etc, It's actually a lot more fun with cheats on I think @_@

I used my old Action Replay CD for my Playstation 1, I havn't gotten it out in ages. Might play it again someday. You probably won't find it around anymore, You'd have to buy the new PS2 one and it MIGHT have teh PS1 CD with it, Not sure...

They're either your Classic Mary Sue, a skank, or a mix of both.

Aeris always annoyed me. She was just too . . .pink, haha!

I guess after all that time only seeing the bottom half of her face in previews, her head looks HUGE in that picture, haha!

Tifa rocks! And that hair? Did you ever see such glorious hair that even after Loz beats her up it's still that soft?! She should be a hair commercial model! :XD:

I didn't like Aeris much. When I first played the game and saw her, my initial reaction was "This is one girl I'm gonna be annoyed with, I feel it."

I pitied her though when she died......but the way Sephiroth killed her was awesome! :XD:

I feel deep pity for tifa fans, Tifa is just a ****, plain and simple.
Aerith vs Tifa over Cloud (http://www.deviantart.com/view/28951779/)
Nobody can beat Aerith, This girl is hot and she's so sweet and funny.
Aerith and Cloud make a much better couple.
When I play Crisis Core I really hope they show parts of the storyline where Zack and Aerith are a couple <3 That would so make my year.

And Crisis Core.. man.. no info is available yet But i'm already excited *has MSN Name and Icon as Crisis Core at the moment* and I can't wait to play as Zack. He is such a cool kick *** guy.

Anyway my little two cents - the game is very good with a few complaints about the storyline and focus on the characters.

Note: Gambit System is abusable, you can even fight battles hands-free!

That's the theme song, yes. It's called 'Redemption.' It's sung by Gackt who's going to be in the game as a character. *YAY* If you want, I have a translation for the lyrics, if you want be to post them. You can tell this song was written for Vincent. It's so saddeningly sweet.... *tear*

you would also have to have the ability to read very good japanese to play it too, otherwise you'd just be playing blindly o.o

anyway, I received my Advent Children DVD today, The english voices (of what I've heard of about 10 mins are ok)
I almost cried in the first 5 mins cos I forgot how sad the story was ;_;

This month? Oh right, of course there is E3 soon.
But I looked on Game Informer and several other gaming sites and found no news on this remake, care to provide a link for this article? otherwise 'finding a post on a forum' isn't very believable, if it were true, Great. But from what I know, Square-Enix have announced it's only a tech demo and have no intention to remake it, It was only a graphics test. I also found some news that they did a similar tech demo for FFVIII (the dance scene) for the PS2 before the PS2 was released but I was unable to find any other news to back it up.

@StarPheonix:
FFXIII:
According to a recent interview with Yoshitaka Amano, a famed artist and character creator for the Final Fantasy Series, FFXIII is already under production, even though FFXII just was released on the shelves of Japan. While FFXII faced numerous delays in its arrival, and has still not been released in the US or Europe, news that the game is in the works is certainly promising.

Since the debut of the original Final Fantasy, the series has sold millions of copies and generated a huge fan base as a result. Like the walkman and music, the Final Fantasy series has been branded as the ultimate RPG in its genre. In fact, it is hard to ask someone what their favorite RPGs of all time are, and not have at least one of the titles in the list.

No details about any aspect of the game were revealed, but most likely it will debut on the PlayStation 3 in the near future. Fans will simply have to settle for the long awaited FFXII to bide their time while waiting for a next generation Final Fantasy.

List of announced Square-Enix games going to be revealed at E3:
Dawn of Mana (Seiken Densetsu IV), PlayStation 2, TBA
Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, PlayStation 2, Summer 2006 (playable)
Final Fantasy XII, PlayStation 2, Fall 2006 (playable)
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, PlayStation 2, Fall 2006 (playable)
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, PlayStation Portable, TBA 2006 (playable)
Final Fantasy XI Treasures of Aht Urhgan, PlayStation 2/PC/Xbox 360, Currently Available (playable)
Final Fantasy V Advance and Final Fantasy VI Advance, GameBoy Advance, TBA 2006
Children of Mana (Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana), DS, TBA 2006 (playable)

uh.. yeah that is really isn't true. Look at who wrote it, you really put your trust on a guest?

anyway I bet this will make you think there is a remake, So I'll put this up just for kicks:
During an interview with the Japan Gaming Magazine "Dengeki Playstation", Yoshinori Kitase (Director of Final Fantasy VII) revealed a Final Fantasy title is in the works for the PS3.

With the recent denials that a remake of Final Fantasy VII is in the works for the PS3, serveral sites have speculated that this may be Final Fantasy XIII.  To this speculation Kitase-san responded...

"As a hint, one thing I can say is that the FFVII technical PS3 demo was supervised by me and created by Toriyama-san (Main Director on Final Fantasy X-2) and his team staff. I'll leave it to you, but you can imagine that development is happening via a similar process."

it doesn't guarantee that the game will be made

the chance that the remake will come is small but let's hope for it....

It was only LAN because it wasn't even released in America when I played it. It was a Local Area Network, A total of 12 computers linked together.

because I was at a Gaming Convention. It's basically a huge arena in London where for 2-3 days you can play and test out the games before they are released, They had games like SSX3, ZOE2, FFXI, DBZ B3, Halo 2. All of them I played before they were released.

uh.. I don't recall them putting an empty line in there.
The English Voices are all done very nicely except for Tifa, maybe because I don't quite think the voice really suits her, the others are all well done. Your being just harsh KuroPup. Yes there is a Japanese option. The FFVII montage is ALL in Japanese and requires English Subs, It's kinda cool seeing the Japanese version of FFVII since I've been playing the english version since 1997.

Yuffie is one of the English actors who I think got it spot on, That is exactly how I picture her voice. Perfect.

Quick Question!
What's everyone's favourite Final Fantasy game?
wow.. that's one long drawn out quick question. I'd call it more a Discussion :P

You can do it with any of the weapons as long as your strength is high enough. It's been a long time me playing it, But you have to add an item to the sword to make limit break, There is also a MP limit break too, But I don't use that since you only get 4 slots on your weapon for changes.

Red XIII speaks at the end just before you see Aerith and Zack standing by the bright light/door. I like his english voice too, That's also how I imagined his voice in FFVII.
and being born like that is like totally oppositte to Tome Cruise XD He can remmember names and faces to people he hasn't seen in years! (like fans etc, BNL are also like that with fans, very friendly group BNL are)

The dragon is called Bahamut SIN. Bahamut has been in every final fantasy game to date. Awesome character/summon/dragon.

hmm there's one summon i also like a lot in FF X, namely Yojimbo
he doesn't have those flashy special effects with his special moves like the other summons but he's just so cool when during the intro of him the sakura tree appears, he walks towards the screen and does that whoooosh thing with his cape. Not to mention his supercool Zanmato move

I never botherd with the cards. :XD: I never bothered pressing the square button to play a card game throughout the entire game. That's why I don't have the Gilgamesh card that can be refined into 10 Holy Wars, essential to defeat Omega in my opinion. ^__^ That monster is such a cheat. After Terra Break, he cast Ultima or something to finish us off.

Omega is frickin hard. I don't know what you did Vex to win, but he's annoying.

Hehe yea I know you people over in the UK call it "Football" instead of soccer, when Football over here is just football wich is confusing cuz you only hit the ball once with your foot, the rest of the time your just throwing the ball around when as soccer should be called football b/c you only use your feet -. - stupid American logic lol, but as far as blitz ball i never did the jecht shot ; ;

The Jecht shot was awesome. At high school me and my FF crew also played Blitzball together... or .. we would play it with a volley ball anyway, It was well fun. Cos we had no water we had to run around with the ball and then we had to stop if we got cornered by the opposing team, They would try to run into us one by one to grab the ball (they were not allowed to stop) and if they got by they had to wait 3 seconds to run after us again, It was hard but really fun!

well I guess they wanted a change, the new system lets you battle like in FFXI wich was actually pretty cool, you dont get random battles and the only time you get a fight without choice is if you get too close walk too fast or they aggro you for some other reason its pretty nice ^^

FFVII:AC is so beautiful with 5.1 surround sound. The rumbles the music the voices the experiance!!
I only wish I had 7.1 surround sound O.O

If anyone is still looking for it.
FFXIII Trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=2649)
looks like it will be another female lead game. Looks really good.
The only thing putting me off already is all this reliance on guns and jumping around twirling in the air (what I didn't like about FFX-2 too)

FFXIII (http://ffxiii.com/) is a nice little site too.

hmm i can't download/watch the trailer for some reason, too bad i wanted to see :(

but from what i heard it sound like Final Fantasy meets Devil May Cry

i'm not so sure if that's such a good combination (the last games that combined RPG elements with hack 'em up action were not really good games) :sweatdrop:

I guess Tales Of series were KINDA like that. I personally Loved that gameplay.

I loved DMC. One of my fav games, it was so much fun.

Devil May Cry is one of my favorites as well and the Tales of games are the only 'action rpg's' i liked so far (Tales of Symponia is in my top 3 game favorites ever!)

but i'll wait for gameplay movies of it, i don't have much hope for this FF game but perhaps square-enix will surprise me, who knows?

Devil May Cry was okay, I really liked the second one, I've still to actually see the thrid one lol *sweatdrop*
I think I liked FFIX the most, the plot of FFVIII was quite good but I just couldn't stand Rinoa or Squall. Hahaha. FFVII...Hrmm...graphics were pretty cool for that time but I think they kind of spazzed up the ending. FF: AC was amazing graphic wise, the plot was a bit boring and still no serious CloudxTifa moments! Argh! But it was still pretty...wow!

I have to say that although FFX and X-2 were pretty amazing graphic wise, they still sucked plot wise. The voices were just...ugh, so bad. I realy wanted to know what they actually said in the Japanese one. All of  the "y'know?!"s just really annoyed me. I didn't think it could get any worse until FFX-2...Oh, man...Hahaha.

wow, are you pessimistic or what?
FFIX was most.. old school out of them all, It had a much more strong feeling that it was set in the past unlike the others that seem to be set in the  future. That made me like FFIX a lot too.
One of the main reasons I Loved FFVIII was Rinoa and Squall, They were two perfect Characters, At the time when I played it I fit the exact sterotypness of Squall and I knew a girl who was a lot like Rinoa and was associated with her romantically, so I loved those characters (and they are still some of my fav, Squall remains my fav FF Guy). FFVII:AC plot wasn't 'boring' but for those not particularly interested in seven I could understand them not liking it, I loved it to no end, Didn't see one boring part in the movie. Obviously there are no Cloud and tifa moments, Because Cloud was always destined for Aerith. It's so plainly obvious that Cloud loves her. No, The voices in X and X-2 were not bad either, If you hate the people saying "ya know" a lot then I would also expect you would hate talking to me in person because, hey, guess what, I Say That!!! So I guess I'm partially offended by that and The stories were not bad either. It's a fantasy game and that's exactly the story they delivered, Beautifully done aswell. I liked FFX-2 aswell because not only did it break the Final Fantasy sequals rule (leaving it open to do all those FFVII sequals and prequals) but it showed us what happens after a main character is killed.

I understand your feelings about there being no CloudxTifa moments. Sorry Vexnet >_< I kinda feel like Aerith was destined for Zack... And Cloud for Tifa. :P Cloud cares deeply for them both though which is why there is so much dispute about it, I think.

simple, noticed how Square is making it harder to get all thier games?
FFVII had a whole ton of releases especially the ones for the Mobile Phone and PSP (which means yuo have to buy two new pieces of hardware just to play thier games), FFX had two games, FFXI was online, FFXIII is just following the money-hungry predeccesers. People love Final Fantasy, and will buy all thier products to know the answer to thier games for themeselves, Square knows this and they use it to thier advantage.

FFVIII is the best! w00t! Squall and Rinoa forever! You could say I'm a SquallxRinoa addict. They're just so cute and beautiful together. FFVIII was my first-ever FF game and I never get tired of it. It's just that whenever I think even a slightest bit of the game, I immediately get a craving for its graphics, story, game, everything! Its OST, Eyes on Me, is at the top of my favorite songs! In short, FFVIII is my favorite of all FF games!

FFIX was my second FF game. At first, I didn't like the game very much, and unfortunately, I had to stop playing it because of console problems. A year later, I got a sickness...its the excitement for FFIX's places. I had stopped in Disc 2, but that doesn't mean the places I saw weren't awesome. They truly were! And the sounds just keep ringing in my mind all the time!

Among the FF series I've seen, FFX and X-2 have the best graphics so far, with the exception of FFVII: AC, but I don't really count it as a game because it's a movie. I love FFX's ending and its gameplay, plus its camera views, but what frustrated me was FFX-2's changes. First time I played, I was so shocked by the changes I almost cried. One thing was the most obvious of all...I couldn't hear the FF essence in X-2's sounds.

Haven't played FFVII. Just once, but it was too short for me to evaluate the game. But I plan on buying it...now... :sweatdrop:

Am still waiting for the English version of FFXII...and dreading the arrival of FFXIII...

Yeah, me too. A friend of mine gave me the whole set of FFVII but unfortunately, the frist disc only worked a few times in my console. After that, the system went black and I couldn't play the game anymore. Sitll planning to buy a new set though or might borrow from my cousin :heh:

And about the FFXIII thing, we have the same feeling (why is it that we always share ideas? O____o) Sadly because they've developed the game for the PS3 (which was supposed to be for PS2. It's really bad news for us who doesn't have the cash to burn for the gadget... -_-

FFXIII was always meant for the PS3, It was never going to be designed for the PS2 or even mentioned for the PS2, Square made it clear that FFXII was going to be the last PS2 Final Fantasy game. I don't know where you thought FFXIII was going to be for PS2.

I really did try to play that on ROM, But I just couldn't bring myself to keep playing it, The graphics just made me cringe constantly, and the Story wasn't all too compelling either.

Final Fantasy 42 - The Final Fantasy that will have The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Answer_to_Life%2C_the_Universe%2C_and_Everything).
I look forward to it.

but no, FFXIII is not out yet, It's still being made. FFXII I suppose are still dubbing it, I mean what else could take SOOOOO long -_-

Sadly because they've developed the game for the PS3 (which was supposed to be for PS2.

Honestly, I'm one of the few people who did not like FFVII. Yes. Ostracize me now. ;D The storytelling was all right, but I just got bored of the game really quickly. And now with all this VII stuff coming out, or already out, I just feel even more justified in my dislike for it. Yes, it's popular, but now it's being beaten to death. Advent Children was cool, but I think the whole story should have been stopped there. I think now we're going into overkill, or maybe it's just that Dirge of Cerebus is ruining Vincent's characterization for me. He's much cooler when he's mysterious. He's my second favorite after Aerith, so it just makes me sad.

My all time favorite is FFVI. I LOVE this game. It's seriously the best one I've ever played, and I've played all of them released in the US, even Tactics and XI. The characterization in VI is so deep. It's got the best storytelling, and some of the best game moments ever. And let's not forget a badguy that's actually, well, bad! Legitimately bad. Not influenced by some greater being that is easier to defeat than the bosses leading up to it. (Holy crap. XI and X had the most pathetic end bosses EVER.)

I also love VIII. I really liked the way the enemies leveled up with you. It made the game more challenging and fun. (And yes! Squall x Rinoa! I love them.) The characters in this game were also just full of win and awesome. :D

a FFVIII lover...yay! :keke: And a SquallxRinoa fan, too! High five! I only like FFVII, but don't really love it...too much attention, I guess...?
I really hate the way people pair Squall up with -everyone- in fanfics. Squall x Rinoa is canon, and I don't understand WHY people hate it. I think it's sweet, even if they could have used a tad more development, but there's still tons of stuff there! <3

I think part of the reason VII bored me is because it got a lot of hype, and when I played it the first time, I was not impressed.

I haven't read FFVIII fanfictions once; I thought that the a fanfiction that bashed Squinoa was for fun only, since the whole fanfic was seriously made to be funny. Now I know it was a serious thought of the author...Why do people hate Squinoa?! The development between Squall and Rinoa was a bit...well, unseen...When I played the game for the umpteenth time, I paid more attention to the story and was a bit shocked that little development and immediate confession was shown, if you know what I mean...

I once played FFVII...it felt like a FFVIII to me... :sweatdrop:

Yeah. It's not entirely there, but there is still a lot more there than people think, especially given the space sequence. :D

I -like- them when they're hard. That's what Final Fantasy had going for it: hard final bosses. The NES game had a hard one. IV-VI also had hard bosses. Then we got VII, which started failing in the difficulty area because it was so easy to level up, and VIII went back to the hard battles. Much love for the fact that the monsters level with you. It took me an hour to beat Ultemecia at level 100, using Squall's ultimate limit break constantly, but it was fun! IX was lame. I beat Kuja, Trance Kuja, and Necron in 5 minutes TOTAL. I remember sitting there with my brother all "what just happened? Did I beat....oh wow. That was stupid." Yu Yevon is also easy in X.

The difficulty of bosses is part of what makes the games so fun. When you take that away, it kills an aspect of the game. The reason these bosses are bosses because they're SUPPOSED to be hard. They're the bad guys. It'd be lame if the world was getting taken over by a wimp. :(

:( I know what you mean. XD Jecht and Yu Yevon and Possesed Aeons were so easy... Yunalesca was harder. -.-;
I haven't really played FF7... but at the end you can just summon knights of of the round all the time and you're finished.

Advent Children? i have it and have watched it 200 times already! XD

Tifa is my favorite FF girl now (how she beat the crap out of that guy in Advent Children was plain awesome) and Cloud is my favorite FF guy now ^^

Advent Children made me hate Tifa more than I already do. She got even more annoying, I think.

Aerith is still my favorite from VII. But if we're going for awesome female FF characters: What about Rydia from IV, or Terra from VI? Awesome females.

Lol, that is sooooooo true. Cloud and Squall are similar, and pretty kool, i dont like tidus.....actually most of the characters in FFX are annoying.........silly dialog, poorly designed etc.

Bring Back Terra and Celes.......PLEASE

Agreeing with you there.. but I'm not an FFX hater... It's just not my favorite... and Wakka's voice in English makes my eyes go.... round... O.o

FFVII = <3 ; Cloud = <3 love; Sephiroth (some who hate him) = ish cool and one of my favorites but not adore... :P

FF game that didn't really interest me: FFVIII (dunno why...)
and hey, FF Tactics is a great game too! :D One of the best

I think VINCENT is the BEST of FF guys. :inlove: HE'S SO AWSOME!!! HIS EYES!!! HIS VOICE!!!
I'll buy his game when I get enough money ( :heh: I forgot the name of the game)

And female FF characters... Garnet is cute n.n, Rinoa is funny, but Yuna... is sooooo stupid, how can she become a singer after she was a priestess??? (summoner, ok, almost the same)
But for me, Tifa is the best!

Aerith is pretty too. n_n.

Advent Children scene:

(Vincent comes walking into the screen with his usual deadserious attitude while the others are fighting Bahamut)

Vincent: "where can i buy a phone?"

XD

ah~ FFVII:AC, i remember waiting in line all day for that..and then got home and tore the plastic off, stick it in the dvd and watch it over and over and over and over again......

I like the movie..well I like both the game and movie but, then movie beats the game by gust a little, because in the game, I just couldn't handle the chibi forms...

And yes, even though I'm a cloud-obsess, I agree, Vincent is soooo freakin cool! I'm in love with his cloth..and his aura is just so....ah...

Cloud is still my number one though!LOL! My best girl gotta give it to Tifa, she has the world most awsome martial art skills, and she has a mind of her own. Gotta say not a big fan of Aerith.

And Sephiroth it the cooooolest bad guy ever!!! his presence is just so..capturing....LOL

So yeah, FFVII:AC was definetly worth watchig over adn over and over and over and over again....

My m8 downloaded advent children the day it was released in japan and bought it to school on hislaptop and we all watched it in the common room. Ihadent even played FFVII then, so it was quite interesting. i agree though, Cloud and Vincent are pretty kool. I dont like Tifa, Airith is more sane. And that fight with Buhamut-sin (thats the officail name for him, ts a new summon), was awesome XD

If it was "where can I buy a phone" it would be "doko ni denwa wo kaemasuka?"

I can't hear all of what he's saying, but it sounds like "denwa aru doko da." and mentions nothing about buying anything, nor is he even asking a question. ^_^;

And Cloud was all "There's nothing in the world I don't cherish!"
He's such a sweet guy..tsk tsk...if only the guys that go to my school were like that...

one last question..but i guess this depends on your opionion, but who does Cloud really love..? I know he had a secret crush on Aerith, but somehow it always comes back to Tifa..(Kinda like Inuyasha..).

then the official subbers made yet another mistake

when Sephiroth battle begins that little girl says "Onee-chan?"/Big Sis? and they translate it as "It's her"

Yeah, but she doesn't mean it in a "big sis" way. Japanese children tend to call older women "oneechan" whether they're close or not. She's kind of saying it in a way to ask "Is it you?" in reference to Aerith.

I watched the entire movie raw at first, since I didn't want to see any screwed up subs. Vincent's voice is hard to catch sometimes, as he speaks lowly and quickly.

that's why I hate dubbs...they always change it something that is way different from the actual movie
