Miss Jenni-Maie:
My mom doesn't have a problem with anime. But she doesn't get involved in it.
She was making fun of the CCS 2nd movie yesterday while I was watching it, when Sakura jumps across to Syaoran screaming "I love you!"
My mom mocked in a high pitched voice running across the kitchen, "Ahh! I'm 10 years old and know nothing about the concept of love, but I still love you prepubescant boy!"
I laughed, but I was still mad that she made fun of my precious Syaoran.
But yeah, I'll catch her reading my manga from time to time, but she only does it when she's bored...
She still gets none of it, haha!

AkaiYuki:
Kyaa! XD Sorry, Endoh, but that thing your mom said was funny! Ha ha, I'll think of that everytime I see that scene! (Cuz I thought the same thing! 'Cept I still thought it was cute...)

--- Quote from: moezy-chan on September 12 2005, 11:59 am ---That's how I feel with my mom. I'll tell her about it, but I don't show it to her. When I talk to her I leave out stuff like the yaoi/yuri content. I'm not really a big fan of yaoi/yuri, but I can tolerate it. Okaa-san cannot. If she saw that, I wouldn't be on this website right now.

Either can my parents. I don't like yaoi/yuri, and sometimes it's hard to tolerate but most the time I can. It's just, how can I explain something like that to my parents? Besides.. they already know about homosexually.. only.. I don't want to explain it to them in anime! Ugh. --;

I remember watching the 2nd movie, and my mom was around.. she didn't say anything and was kinda dancing to the ending song. Hehe. That was funny.

She's never really made fun of me, really.. but I remember when she sang parts of Sailor Moon when I watched it on Cartoon Network and I'd get embarrassed by it.

Now-a-days, I always watch anime downstairs ( when no-one else is around ). Expect for when my dad may come down to play Halo 2 and often asks if I'm watching something.

Dad: " What's that? "

Me: " Cardcaptor Sakura. "

Dad: " What? "

Me: " Card. Captor. Sakura. "

Dad: *Walks on, opens/closes door* ( There's a door that leads to a spare room..with a home theater... kinda hard to explain.. nn;; )

Me: o_O; .. *continues to watch in peace* ^__^

AkaiYuki:
Ahhh... I love yaoi... Well, I guess I really prefer shounen-ai.. I like shoujo-ai, too! I think they're both so cute... People who are against relationships for things like that are closed-minded, in my opinion... I think it's just as bad as being against relationships for silly things like race and such... Maybe I'm biased because a lot of my friends are gay... But I can understand why it would bother you, moonprincess18, since it *would* be hard to say these things to one's parents.. Totally different generation.. Anyway, I only know a few people who are freaked-out by my love of anime and shounen/shoujo-ai, I just don't hang out with those people. Really, it's just easier to ignore them... Once, I was drawing some Gravitation fanart, and one girl said: "Omigoooooshh... are you drawing PORN?" and I said: "WHAT about THIS... is pornographic?" and she said: "Well, they're two guys, AND they're Japanese cartoooons" Yuki: *vein vein* .... *ignore* ^___^

Moon:
Yaoi kinda disturbs me.. the image of two guys.. having sex.. *shivers* (No offence to anyone who likes that, ok. >>;; ) Shounen-ai, on the other hand, I can handle. Two cute guys huggling each other.. hayaan~ but honestly, and don't get upset..most couples I like are hetrosexual.. nn; I mean, I like Touya/Yukito together. And, from Sailor Moon.. those two outer sailors... yeah.. *goes to hide in a corner just in case* oo;
