definitely. the more people join, the more people are more likely to abuse them. plus, you're never certain that anyone will read the rules. it's not like you can sit down next to them and watch them read the rules word for word. you just have to trust that they did.

So true. I always make it a habit to read the rules. Last thing I want is to get kicked off. If only people were more considerate.

or is it just me that doesn't know where it is...

You know you're off topic. But I'll tell you, It happens to me too. When I first come on the forums, i appear unlogged in. And that's the only time i can see the shop O_O"
Maybe someone should post some reasons for cookie giving for people to read.
And if you tell some of the newer members that they're not following hte rulles, they usually think you're rude and mean or whatever.

the point i'm trying to get across about the cookies is that even with reasons on why cookies should be given, it doesn't mean people will actually obey them. you can't control what people do or what they will give cookies for. you definitely can't control the person giving a cookie from putting their cursor onto the "give a cookie" link.
maybe.. you could do it like this. you have the give a cookie link to those who reach the post limit and if they are going to give a cookie, it brings them to another page where they can send the admins (without using a PM, maybe like a post!) why they want to give so and so a cookie. and the admins can approve it.
.. i don't know. does that make sense? i'm just trying to help. `=)

Great idea, aishiteru! ^_^
Pretty much the same as my idea . .. just a little less of a hassle, haha.
I actually would have no problem with that. I think it certainly would help out with the cookie-abusing.
