I agree entirely! Even if Tomoyo and Eriol are really great together, I'll always prefer S+S over any other couple~

I always prefered Tomoyo loving Sakura. If CLAMP were aiming to show the feelings of unconditional love then in my opinion, the story of Tomoyo would be the story to look at.

I never liked pairing her with Eriol as it made it seem like she was too willing to turn her back on Sakura. They way I see it, even when Sakura and Syaoran got together, Tomoyo would always Love Sakura unconditionaly, just as her mother always loved Sakura's mother.

Sonomi (SP?) may have loved (and still does) Sakura's mother but the fact she has a daughter gives us hope for Tomoyo even though Sakura has Syaoran

Tomoyo would never turn her back on anyone....but lets think about this. Sakura was in love' with Yukito, then realised that the person she really loved was Syaoran. Couldn't it have been like that for Tomoyo and Eriol?

Eriol realises he doesn't truly love Kaho, he loves Tomoyo? And Tomoyo realises that what she feels for Sakura is just very strong friendship, and she is actually in love with Eriol...

They are both valid points and they could both be true.
I just take it the way CLAMP themselves left it at the end of the manga. Eriol is with Kaho and Tomoyo still loves Sakura.

but it does not neccessarily mean that because a person looks similar to another that they are a couple.
I think thats one of the reasons people pair T+E, because they look the same.

in the manga I also think they have a conversation together and Eriol compliments her saying she is very observant and kind. I am sure the same comment is also said to Eriol by someone else and they are made to seem like they have similar characteristics.

The age gap, right? A full grown woman with a ten eyar old child....Eriol may be mature, but the age thing makes the coupling seem strange. That's what I think about Tomoyo and Kuro-wan, too.

This coupling would be fantastic for one main reason...Eriol's deviousness and Tomoy's schemes? They could take over the world!
