Lomachislots War - Lost Childhood (Original) ~

<< < (99/203) > >>

Kasawa Lanford:
As the night wore on the bitter cold continued to set in. Teachers had found themselves huddled together to keep warm, as did the students themselves. The howling wind outside kept most up and made some even wonder if they would get out alive.

Anise mumbled something incoherently as she opened her eyes and found that mostly everyone was asleep. She looked over at Phineas and Andy but due to her own tiredness she couldn't tell if they were asleep or just faking it. With a yawn she fell back asleep.

Not to far from the lodge, however, a group of rescuers were making their way through the heavy packed snow. "This'll take us hours," one of the rescuers complained as he slammed his shovel through the snow. "Better late than never," another said as took a backhoe and began removing some snow.

"By morning the helo's will be able to fly and will air lift all those in the lodge to the hospital," the captain of the team said as he lit up his cigerate. "Provided they are still alive," he said with a woried tone. "Ok put your backs into it people!"

Director of Music:
Phineas winced a little as he sat down on the hard ground.  He had done something to his leg earlier and hoped he hadn't sprained or anything.  He looked over at Andy who was asleep, but restlessly so.  He got up, and found a thin blanket and placed it on top of Andy.  He hobbled back to his spot in the corner, and leant against the lodge.  He looked around to see just about everyone sleeping.  As soon as he had relaxed, he could feel the cold seeping into his skin.  He gritted his teeth with dismay but said nothing about it.  After all, there were people who needed to keep warm.  Like Rin.  Like Anise.

Andy rolled again as he curled up into a ball to keep some heat for himself.  All of a sudden, he felt a cloth being thrown upon him.  He wearily opened his eyes to see Phineas hobbling back.  Despite himself, Andy couldn't help but smile.

Kasawa Lanford:
By early morning the cloud cover above the lodge and across the mountains hadn't dessipated, in fact, it had only grown worse. The blizzard has ceased and the rescue teams were almost to the lodge, inside the lodge it was already seven the morning but thanks to the cloud cover it made it appear to still be night.

Anise was one of the first to wake up, she rubbed her eyes and yawned. He looked at Rin, whom was still asleep, she then glanced at Andy and Phineas. The nurse was already awake along with several adults, most were tending to the needs of some of the students, others were taking hopeful glances out the window for someone to rescue them.

"You ok?" The nurse asked Anise. "I'm fine," she said, yawning. "You didn't eat or drink much last night, so no need then?" the nurse asked her. Again Anise said she was fine and the nurse left her alone. She was more concerned about her twin sister than about some medical condition she had. She sared at her sister for a seconds before laying her head back down on the pillow and gently squeezing it before she fell back asleep.

Director of Music:
Phineas, who had stayed up, watched as Anise talked to the nurse and watched as she had fallen back asleep.  But it was Rin who was really worrying him.  She hadn't moved at all.  He looked at Andy who had fallen asleep soundly.  Phineas rolled his eyes.  Only Andy could sleep during a time like this.  He struggled to get up, and slowly and painfully made his way over to the twins.

Kasawa Lanford:
The nurse had been looking outside when she noticed Phineas moving about; curiously she watched him but didn't say a word. She occasionally was glancing at Rin though, the young girl was very still, almost dead like, and it was making her nervous.

Anise apperently hadn't noticed and instead kept on sleeping.
