Pikari:

--- Quote ---Can anyone tell me what these two words mean?
Hibiku
Makenai

Also, if anyone knows a good site to put in romanji and get the english word that would be great! The ones I know don't work well.
--- End quote ---
Hibiku = echo/  resound
Makenai = (I/you/he/etc) won't lose / won't give up

A good dictionary site is Jeffrey's Japanese/English server. I forget the link, put just put that into Google and it should come up.

--- Quote ---If 'dobe' means dead last.....then what are the separate words for dead and last?
--- End quote ---
last = saigo, saishuu
the very last/bottom = biri

As I understand it, saishuu is more like "the ending/conclusion" as in "saishuu made = until the end", and "saigo" is like "the last" as in "saigo no kotoba = last words".

"Shi" is death. But if you put them together like "saigo no shi" that would be more like "the last death". XD I'm not sure how that would work....

Ruby Chan:
Ok...and what exactly does aniki mean? It's connected to brother...

So does it eman little brother/brother, or something like that?

AiKo:
aniki is big brother(respected/formal in a way) as far as i remembered. Same goes for anue (big sister[remember Kohaku from "Inu-Yasha" calling Sango "anue"])

Ruby Chan:
Arigatou (that the right spelling?)

By the way, can anyone tell me how to actually -pronounce- these words?

Gomen Nasai
Aishiteru
Daijobu desu
Dobe
Aniki
Arigatou

Because I know a lot of Japanese words sound diff then they look.....

Pikari:
Japanese is not that hard to pronounce if you remember the vowels always sound the same.

a = "ah"
i = "ee"
e = "eh" (with more of an "ay" sound as in "say")
o = "oh"
u = "oo" (as in "pool")

And with sounds like "ai" it's "ah" and "ee" said fast together, so it sounds like "eye".
So it would be like "goh-meh-n nah-s-eye", etc.

Does that help? o_O Explaining pronunciation in writing is always hard.
