Everyone knew of my manga and anime stuff because I always always always had a manga with me. Sometimes it was three and people would look at me weird. I've met a few people who like anime, but a majority of the people at the school don't even know what anime is. o.O and automaticcally think it's Pokemon. -.-

That happens to me too. Some of my classmates would always come up to me and say "What manga did you bring today?". Most people would just go "why do you always read books backwards?"

Yeah this one kid was looking at a volume of Hellsing I had with me and he's like "I thought you read those right to left..." and I was like "You...do. o.O" and this other kid wrote me a note thing saying "Aren't you a little old for pokemon?" and I was like "WTF, I'm reading nothing LIKE Pokemon. Go grow up or jump off a cliff or something."

LMAO, sterotypical people, who automatically assume Pokemon is the greatest anime ever. There are alot of stuff that beat Pokemon by far -_-

At first, it didn't sound interesting to me. And then someone made a thread about TRC in Detective Conan board I go to. Inside the thread, someone posted link of place to read the scans, so I decided to try reading it. That's how I got hooked  :rotfl:

well i was in a samgoody looking for yet another kenshin manga and there were not any!!!!  so i asked some dude if there were any good manga books other than kenshin and at first he tried to show me something called legal drug??  and hakasho  and yugioh, pokemon,   i'm like no way not little kid things like that  i grew outta pokemon in the 5th grade!!!  and then he handed me a tsubasa book and i'm like it looks ok i'll  get it  (just ta get out of there) and i found it were better than kenshin !!!  yay    another obsession!!!!!!   (i got into the series really really late)

one day i was in a bookstore looking for new manga. i whent over to a shelf and i found it right next to fruits baskets. thats how i discoverd it.

when i was trying too find movie 2 of CCS i saw a book on Tsubasa then i buy it and when i read book one i cuddent stop reading....i got hook too Tsubasa and CCS now cuz of syoran and sakura

AHEM! sry, got carried away when i was reading replies. :P

you know how some sites provide minisubs of animes for dialup users too? like they minimize the file in a different video format and allow it to be downloaded. well, the site i found was armycats (currently a dead site) and they happened to be covering Tsubasa Chronicle. i saw the preview they had before it came out and was immediately attached to downloading it from there becuz it had Sakura and Syaoran ^______^"

and then i went to barnes and Noble to get teh manga :P

i think that i first found out bout TRC is wen i came pass a CCS site advertising it. also i heard it from my friend from singapore she even sent me a copy of it (1st volume) through the post for me for my birthday i was so surprised it was definatly the best pressie tht i got ^_^ although i don't know that much chinese but tht's not gonna stop me reading it ^^

I found the book walking aimlessly through a bookstore.Ironicly it is the first manga I bought  :sweatdrop:

how did i find about TRC? well i guess it is HITSUZEN  :dodge: its true!  :hehe:

what happened was that i had to move to another city.  :( i haven't moved in 11 years so this was a coincidence...or not? anyways, the new school i went to had a place where you can borrrow the school's manga. i didn't see anything i liked in their shelves when all of a sudden a book fell on me.  :hmp: nobody was around and i opened it and it was xxxHOLiC volume 1.  :hello2: :hello2:

i read it and liked it so i retured it and noted the title so i can buy the other volumes. i found from the book that xxxHOLiC crosses over with Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle. :keke: i didn't know where the school put thier database system where they note all their books so i assumed they didn't have tsubasa.

again all of a sudden i found tsubasa hitting me on the foot. OUCH  :laughing4: i was like OMG! and i read and liked it. after that i bought the rest of the volumes and now i like the series a lot !!!  :inlove: whoo! it is PURE HITSUZEN! no lie!  :okay: i think it fell off the shelf or someone was having a bookfight, i didn't know for sure where those books came from, but it was from the school because it has their names on the book. HITSUZEN!  :noteworthy:

I am a massive CLAMP fan and I collect all their mangas. I discovered TRC by searching for CLAMP titles on Amazon and found out that Del Ray was going to publish the manga.
