My downtown is...scary. Really it is. And I desperately need some inspiration for my fanfiction. I've put all current stories on hold (though one is finished and all I need to do is upload it), so I can finish up a CCS one I've been planning for a while. I'm gonna go read yours though, Cherry-chan! (why do I keep missing people's links in their sigs? I'm slooow)

I don't have a downtown where I live, but I do have one where I go to college. It is famous for gang fights, and gang wars  :( The slums are less than a mile from where I go to college. I was terrified of coming to college at first, and to think, my mom grew up in this neighborhood. :mutters to herself - that might explain some things:

That's one thing I never get about America. My ex used to tell me that at her school if you were to wear like a plain green, blue or yellow shirt or pants, You would get ruffed up by the local rival gangs of a different colour... I mean.. what the hell!? Where is the point of that. Soon enough they are all gonna have to grow up and get jobs.. or die homeless (if they choose to still be 'street' and stay in thier gang).. Really.. It's really pathetic

Thats the way mine is.  I mean, we have some really cool historical places down there, but the neighborhoods are filled with gunfights and shootings and drug busts...its frightening.  My dad advises me to take a gun down there, and I'm just like "-_-;; whaa?"

I don't think she meant it like that. Like for protection, If anything it would probably be empty (or have blanks) to just scare away anyone who threatens.

But still It's a bad idea anyway.. I'm lucky nothing like that happens where I am. The worse we have are gangs who beat each other up, minimal shootings and just a bunch of stabbings (in fact I've had one friend who has been stabbed and two or three friends been beaten up and sent to the hospital. and a few with broken bones etc)

Lol hilarious!

Have you ever felt like you were in one of those typical stories in movies or tv shows or whatever? Like your life was one big stereotypical move or show...

IAlso, do you know how your parents first met? I know some people are like, "Ew!" on that subject, but eh...

Sorry, I'm really thoughtful. But I'm also quite curious to know. :tongue3:

Mine met while they were working at McDonalds.  My mom didn't like him but he liked her and apparently (according to her) chased after her.  Then he gave up and started dating someone else and she fell in love with him and (once more according to her) stole him back.

>_>  Dysfunctional relationship.  They were friends the whole time, though, so it was okay...I think?

I'm going to post here for the first time.

My parents met in a pool bar. Dad proposed in a car on the beach in the rain. Six month later, they went to Las Vegas to get married. In jeans and tennis shoes.

... My parents are so romantic, aren't they?

Yet my parents are still together after twenty three years. Yeah my parents.

Haha...if my life were a movie then NOTHING would ever happen. ^^; The viewers would be like, "Does she just draw and go online all day?! O_o"
I always daydreamed on the fun of having my life be a musical for a day, though...
