Inspired by Vexnet and his new avatar and sig pic, as well as some quick talk about it.

Talk about all of the SF games, from its humble beginnings as Street Fighter up to the Versus series with Marvel, SNK, EX and Zero (Alpha). Tell us which ones you like, dislike and enjoy playing the most.

BTW, my favorite ones are Marvel vs Capcom 1 & 2 and Street Fighter Zero 3.

Zero 3 is the same as Alpha 3 right? Yeah thats my fav one too

Marvel vs Capcom 2 was good aswell! I love the three way tag battles

Tatsumaki Senpukyaku is the spinning kick Akuma, Ken and Ryu uses. Sakura uses a similar one called Shunpukyaku. The hyper combo version for Ryu is Shinku Tasumaki Senpukyaku, Ken's backkick hyper combo is Shippu Jinraikyaku and Sakura's is Haru Ichiban.

This month is also the 15th anniversary for Street Fighter so hurray!

Ryu and Ken are great but Chin Li was my most favorite. ^_^

hm.. i think i saw a 15th anniversary game out in the shops recently too...
I'll have to pop into town and pick it up. I think thats the one i told you i saw.

also- has anyone else seen those new PS2 joypads that look like Megadrive (Genesis) controllers that are designed for the Street Fighter Games. I've seen a Ken and Chun Li pad so far

The last official game made was SVC Chaos, which was one of the final games ever on the SNK/Playmore Neo-Geo MVS system.

Ultracade Technology came up with a special anniversary Street Fighter arcade game, which includes all versions of Street Fighter 2 and the Alpha series.

Dan is nasty in SF Alpha.

On the series, it's a tie on original and III.

Bootleg versions are funny though.

VexNet - Yes, he's supposed to be a parody to Ryo/Robert (Art of Fighting).

But in serious terms, he's powerful in SFA, it's all downhill from there.

I thought Dan was pretty funny XD
He's full of Ego but he sucks XD

I remmember him in the Street Fighter Zero Movie, I didn't like the ending to that movie very much.. The last battle with that android guy kinda bored me a bit... don't know why. The first half of the movie was good tho! and the Street Fighter 2 Animated Movie was awesome!

I depends on the game she's in.

In SF3: TS she's pretty good at pokes and mind games.

SFA, she really sucks here. She lacks good priority.

A lot has to do with the ongoing developement of a character per game. Chun-Li was popular in the SF 2 series at the start being the only female. Hyakuretsu Kyaku and Spinning Bird Kick were her abilities, then in the Champion and Turbo editions, she was given a fireball (Kikoken). In the Marvel vs Capcom series, she became a heavy hitter: Seshicchi Senretsu Kyaku (spelling wrong) was the coolest move I've seen (flying across the screen, hitting the other player in mid-flight and doing some massive damage)

Then the SF Zero series and SNK series came out and someone decided Chun-Li was getting TOO powerful so they downgraded her. By the time Capcom did the SF 3 games, her powers became balanced once more.

By the way, Blanka/Balrog are one of the top tier characters in the SF2 series.
