I THINK that's supposed to be "Hey look! Tomoyo's parents were killed but she ran away and lived!"
....Which really wasn't necessary for the story, and that time could've been used for some explanation of more important things, but I guess it's supposed to make us hate Mr. Evil-Face even more. By the by, did anyone catch a motivation for making the whole country dark?

Seriously, actually, no I didn't. General trying to take over the world for the sake of taking over the world, I assume.

That vision Sakura had was a premonition of the attack that happened seconds later (which is why Tomoyo gave Sakura the ring).

That evil guy wanted to bring darkness to the world because he was....

Ah, that would explain it. So there actually is some motivation and explanation. Did you find this from the movie guide or some other official source? 'Cause I didn't understand that from the movie itself.

Oh! That makes sense now, the motivation bit. Though I note that in the ensuing scene, there was no running away, so I'll stick with my interpretation of the dream.

I'm not sure if this will have been said before, but, did any body else notice that the pupil in Syaoran's right eye was often not shaded in fully with black? I'm assuming this was done on purpose...
I really quite liked that idea. They didn't highlight it as much in the anime series.

Syaoran really can pull off some apparently impossible tasks sometimes

I mean, the storyline could have been more developed, but I think CLAMP are just trying to keep it nice and light. sometimes it can be a little heavy if everything is so serious, tense in depth and long.

I loved the barrel scene! they should have more moments like that! ^___^

i sooooo agree with monse-chan and Xiao lang- the barrel and waterfall scene was too kawaaiii for words- i keep watching that part over and over again! if only the anime contained some of those heart felt moments as well!! sigh....

oh well im going to go watch that part again!

the movie art is soo much better than the anime i have to say- the characters didnt look werid at all-and syaoran looked HOTTTTTT, sakura looked soo pretty! and fye and kurogane looked top notch! top notch animation!!

animation was awesome indeed, too bad Kuropon swordtechniques all looked the same...they had different colors and stances in the anime, S&S moments were great and music superb as always

overal a good movie but i got the impression that this movie was just made for pleasing the fans and keeping them interested in TRC till 2nd season started

the barrel scene....

they should have done something...hey, I would have been happy with a quick peck or something but they had me on the edge of my seat when that part came out and when he didnt do anything I fell out...and then had the sudden feeling to wring Syaoran's little neck...

Spychan - Aww, but then that might be too much fan service. The whole movie seemed like a lot of pretty colors, and S+S/K+F moments. A kiss would be overkill, and CLAMP is probably building up to whatever Sakura and Syaoran's fate will be in the manga. (be that kiss, friendship or, in all emo-ness, death.)

But may the heavens hold me back on Clamp if they do not let Sakura and Syaoran share a kiss or somethin at the end of the manga after all the ouchies he had to suffer to get those feathers of Sakura. If it ends like CCS where they just hugged and it automatically ended......I may have to bring forth kingdom come on someone.

The barrel scene just reminds me of the CCS days when Syaoran always blush when he see's Sakura or when Sakura touches him lol.

Anyway about the movie, I thought it was way too short for a movie as movies are meant to be at least an hour long. When I was surfing through a site I saw that it states the movie was half an hour long, the first thing I thought was it might be some sort of mistake, but it was no mistake! I also thought that it seems as though scenes were cut off because the questions that run through my head was "How did Fay and Kurogane got caught?" and "Did Syaoran got Sakura's feather back?", but overall I thought good animation ^^

It might have seemed as if he was taking advantage of her ^^; Though they obviously like eachother.... Sakura has only known Syaoran for a little while. well. thats what she thinks.

But I do agree that CLAMP should, if its a happy ending (which it better be!) have them share a kiss.
CCS was for a younger audience I suppose... but I am really really hoping they will have an intimate moment. <3 Or CLAMP could go all the way of you know what I mean XD
