Cardcaptor Sakura Themed Story
Chapter 1: The Tower Gives the Finger
(by Muse_Blossom, added on 2005-07-11 06:56:06 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

This was my first ever CCS fic and I thoroughly enjoyed writing it. Some names are in English and I made reference to Inuyasha but I could find myself to change any bit of it because this is the original and ppl on ffn seemed to enjoy it so I hope you all do too! This is an AU fic by the way.

Chapter One
The Tower Gives the Finger

"The domain of f(x) is.....uh, Tomoyo-chan, I have no idea!" Sakura cried to her best friend, Tomoyo. "Let's face it, I am not a school-smart person, I am a...a...Gym-type, Book reading type, theatre girl. I'll never understand math!" Sakura slammed down her book on her desk.

"Don't worry, Sakura-chan, you'll get eventually," Tomoyo told her in an assuring voice. Unlike Sakura, Tomoyo was very good at math. In fact, if it involved school, Tomoyo was the best, and nothing but an A would suit her.

This of course didn't mean that Sakura didn't have any talents. Sakura Kinomoto was beautiful, with her light brown hair that rested above her shoulder, her slim figure that suggested that she was a model, and her beautiful emerald eyes that made you feel like she could see right through you.

Unfortunately, she was not Miss Popularity. Unfortunately, Sakura's personality and likes made her different from the rest of the slutty girls that attended her school, Tomoeda High School. She was one of the few virgins in her school, and this gave other girls the right to make fun of her everyday. And her innocence made it even more funny for the other girls to tease.

If it weren't for Tomoyo, Sakura would fall into deep depression. Tomoyo always made her feel pretty and cared for. Touya, her brother, also used to be her support, but he left for his last year college two months ago, promising to write to her, which he always did.

But there was one person who always made her life a living hell. That was Syaoran Li. Maybe it was his aw-shucks smile, and hunky, drop dead good looks that swooned most of Tomoeda High School's girls over. He had auburn hair, and deep brown eyes that always made him seem like a Greek God. And it was that sort of effect that made him popular. With him being the captain of the soccer team, head of the honor's society, and always on the honor roll, teachers always stuck by his side. Everyone loved him.

Well, except Sakura.

"Hey, Kinomoto, are you that anorexic that you have to wear baggy clothes," "Kinomoto, tell me, was your mother that bug-eyed, or were you just born deformed," it was those comments that always made Sakura stomp off in tears, and Syaoran and his gang laugh off behind her. They always made her uncomfortable in her own skin, always pulling her bra strap, and swarming her with spitballs. She was labeled a GEEK.

There was only one place where Sakura was able to be free. And it was Drama class. She was able to pretend that she was someone else. She pretended that she was someone everybody else liked. And she was finally excited that the spring musical was coming up. Sakura almost always played a part of the play, and even though she was never the lead, but she always had a blast working with the rest of the crew.

"Sakura, are you going to try out for the musical?" Tomoyo asked once they got down to finishing their homework. Sakura was sprawled on her bed, reading the new novel by Jenny Carroll.

"I don't know Tomoyo, maybe I'll just be working with crew again, " Sakura said, still reading from her book.

"Sakura...no! I want to design a costume that you will wear! Every year, since freshmen year, I've been begging you to try out, but you always refuse! Why?" Tomoyo asked, her amethyst eyes boring into Sakura's.

Sakura just scoffed. "Do you think tickets would sell if I was even an extra in the play, Li would probably make up stories on how I would make a joke out of the drama class."

"Just try, please...please, please, please!" Tomoyo begged as she threw a pillow at her.

"Okay, okay, just don't throw pillows at me!"

Tomoyo didn't listen. They ended up with a pillow fight that totaled Sakura's room.

"Hey, Syaoran, I dare you to paint the finger on the water tower (i got this from a show, that70's show)"a blonde haired sixteen year old told another boy, all looking up at the water tower above them all.

"Don't be stupid Budd, Syaoran isn't that stupid!" Another boy with blue hair laughed at him.

"Are you ready to bet on that," the leader of the group told him. He was already going up the ladder, and bucket of paint and brush at hand.

" Syaoran, are you crazy! You could get caught! It's all against the rules!" the boy said.

"Most fun things in life are, Eriol," Syaoran responded, already mid-way there.

"Heh, heh, this is awesome," a red headed boy explained.

"I have a bad feeling about this," Eriol said.

Syaoran was already there. He dipped his brush in the bucket and began to paint. It took him about an hour to get his work of art perfected. When he finished, Syaoran brushed some of the sweat from his forehead. He looked proudly at his materpiece that shone out against the midnight sky.

"Hey guys, how does it look from down there?" Syaoran called to his other friends.

"It's giving me the finger!" Budd yelled.

"Nice one, deVinci's got nothing on you!" the red head cried. Eriols looked at him in amazement.

"Bardok, you know who deVinci is?"he asked, his blue eyes popping out.

"Yeah, he painted the painting with the clocks dying,"Bardok replied.

"Nevermind," he told him. "Syaoran, I'm telling you, you're really gonna get in trouble for this!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"a different voice said behind them. It was their Drama class, Ms. Harmon. "Now, if you boys would be kind as to leave, I have business with Mr. Li to discuss."

All three boys left running, breaking world records.

"Thank for your loyalty you jerks!" Syaoran yelled angrily as he climbed down, ready to face the second person in his entire school that didn't worship him. "I am so dead."

"Mr. Li, I believe your guardian would want to know why you were out late outside today at midnight, wouldn't he," she smiled.

Syaoran had no choice but grumbled as he got into his teacher's car, knowing he would pay dearly for his vandalism.

But he couldn't help but smile and smirk as he saw his "masterpiece" giving him the finger.
