Chapter 1: Temporal Paradox
(by Kasawa Lanford, added on 2005-09-23 11:47:21 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

A wind blew through what appeared to be a holding area, the vent’s that feed oxygen into the confined area, they where up so high that it felt more like a hurricane was going through the area, but there was a reason for this, as it might escape a lot harder

On one side of the room sat a young man, slaving over a control panel and watching a few video screens

~Incoming Prisoners~ blurred over the comm. speaker

The young man looked over his shoulder, blue light emitted through the laser’s that ran from wall to wall, encasing that are and making it a jail cell. When the blue light faded the young man saw a young girl, she looked like she was in her fifteen’s, maybe sixteen’s; another cell held a young man, also in his fifteen’s

It was what he saw the next two cell’s that made him wonder, these two individuals looked like they may be older than the two kid’s he just saw. They both looked like they where in there 20’s perhaps older, maybe even younger, either way he just snarled, his prison was full of children now

“What the hell are they thinking putting children in my cells,” The young man said and turned around

“Who the hell are you calling a child?!” Came a yell from the last prison cell

The young man turned around, and smiled. “Kurogane, dimension Alpha 934”

The ninja stared blankly at the young man, but knowing what he had just said. “Huh?”

He laughed. “It’s to difficult for you to understand,” the young man laughed

In the other cell, another person spoke up. “Who are you?” they asked

He stopped. “Me?”

“Yes…”

“My name’s Maskis Juliano, warden for this prison.” Maskis said and walked over to one of the control panels that littered his prison

“You mean where somewhere else? What Country,” Kurogane asked

He laughed. “Country? More like what Dimension,” he smiled and could see the confused look on the ninja’s face. “Your no longer in your original worlds, we pulled you out”

“Why?!” The young girl finally said

Maskis turned and looked at the girl. “Sakura Kinomoto,” he said off his clip board

“H… how do you know my name?!” She asked whilst a bit frightened

He smiled. “I know the name’s of all four of you,” he gestured toward the young name in the cell to his right. “You’re Syaoran Kinomoto”

“KINOMOTO?! What!!!” Sakura yelled, and blushed at the same time

Maskis looked at the list. “Hmm… according to this the two of you are married”

Syaoran blushed in reaction to what Maskis had just said. Maskis just smiled at the reaction and keyed in a sequence, but the words “Dragon Locked” appeared on his screen. “What the freak….” He said then snarled and looked at the girl. Could this girl possibly have tie’s with the Dragon Family?

~RED ALERT! INCOMING INTERNODE FEDERATION™ PATROL SHIP!~ blurred over the loud speakers

He punched in a lock out code which locked down the cells and made his way to the bridge, he passed several younger crew men and gave them order’s, then entered the bridge

“Enemy Patrol Ship is right on our bow, there firing!” Yelled the sensor’s officer

Meanwhile, on said patrol ship

“There evading”

Kalshion smiled. “They want us to fire a volley at them, fine, fire tube’s one through nine”

“Firing”

The ship came about, its long frame becoming rather small as it turned; over ninety torpedoes suddenly appeared out of no where and headed toward the enemy cruiser

“Strike.. strike.. strike..” Kalshion said

His gunnery officer nodded. “Positron Cannon coming online,” the gunnery officer licked his lower lips as he used the joystick near him to turn the cannon and aim for the engine’s of the cruiser, “shot charging, 10%.... 20…. 30%..... 40….. 50…. 60%.... and rising” he said

Outside the enormous yet slender looking patrol ship, blue particles danced around a large turret on the belly of the ship, red particles soon appeared as well as yellow and began to collect along the lateral lines of the ship’s bow

“Plasma lines firing!” Yelled another officer

Four lines of thin plasma punched through the black void of intradimentional space, seeking the prow of the cruiser, these shot’s would gut the ship from stem to stern, destroying the pirate’s and ending this alert

Kalshion smiled and closed his eye’s, and recalled something from his past, sometime before he joined up with what used to be the Matrix Authority

”Are you sure doc?”

“Yes I am, your gene’s don’t lie”

“But how? My mother was Yakoro Dragon….”

“Apperently not, according information provided by Rose, your real mother was Yokosha Tikala, and your real sister is Sakura Kinomoto”

“Impossible! It’s impossible!”

“It’s NOT impossible! Look at these gene lines! They MATCH a gene line sample taken from Sakura back when Rose was in her world! There is no way to lie about these matchs!”

“But… if that’s true…”

“It’s hard to explain.. but you’ll know if she’s near by.. trust me”

He opened his eyes, something was in his gut and it wasn’t good. “Redirect those lines,” he ordered. The two officers looked at him, then nodded and redirected those lines to another target, which happened to have been two torpedoes the pirates had fired

“What’s wrong bro?” Katarina asked

“She’s on that ship….” Kalshion said, with a hollow tone in his voice

“Sakura? How? Her world was sealed up a hundred year’s ago? She’s DEAD! There’s no way she could still be alive..” Katarina said in a somewhat confused state, but then nodded, as if she now understood it. “Gunnery crew’s, target the engine’s for disablement, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT hit the bridge or any other vital area! Marine’s get ready for boarding action!” she yelled and spun on her heel’s, her cape fluttering about do to her movement

He stared at her. Those pirate’s are in for it, she doesn’t like it when someone tampers with the time line, a time paradox… shit.. maybe I better contact Sonic, he said and turned around and headed for his quarters

Meanwhile, on the pirate ship

Maskis had been given an order, in order to prevent there secret from being discovered he was to kill there four prisoners, but he knew what would happen if he actually did that. This was the 6th time they’ve pulled the four out of there world’s and this would be the 6th time he would kill them… this was getting old and already they have 6 dimensions that where getting to implode on themselves. No, he won’t do it, despite the orders, he wasn’t about ready to kill another person… besides the last life he took was of Sakura when she was six years old, and that hurt his conscious more than he ever thought, luckily he knew of a way to go back into the past and prevent these from ever occurring, but that would involve a Temporal Paradox, and he knew the Federation would be on there ass for that

He walked onto into prison deck, and looked around. “I’ve been ordered to kill you,” he said to Sakura and noticed a frightened look on her face, but then Maskis smiled and that made her even more scared. “But, I won’t kill you,” he turned around

“Why not?” Kurogane asked

“Because, this would’ve been the sixth time I’ve done it.. and quite frankly I don’t have the courage anymore,” Maskis said and began to type in a program into his control panel

“Sixth time?” Syaoran asked

Maskis sighed. “It’s difficult to explain, you’ve been here roughly five other times, but its your other selves”

“Like Yuko said, we can exist in multiple dimensions,” Fai said with arms folded

He nodded. “Your right and we’ve already killed you five times… I feel if we do it one more time we might just cause even more harm than previous intended”

Sakura blinked, ”F… five times?!” she said aloud

He just smiled at her. “Don’t worry, we can bring those other five back”

“Yuko said-“

“Yuko doesn’t know jack shit ok? I however know of people who CAN bring them back!” Maskis yelled, causing Fai to stop talking

Syaoran finally nodded. “One question.. where are we anyway?”

“You’re on the Time Ship Resonance, where currently in battle against an Internode Federation Patrols Ship,” Maskis said as he typed in several line commands into the control panel. “This ship was once part of there fleet but we took it away from them,” he looked over his shoulder, having thought he had heard something. “I’m releasing you from your cells, get out of here as fast as you can, I don’t think they realize that if they destroy this ship they’ll also cause an instability issue in this area of the node”

Sakura and Syaoran just nodded, not really understanding what he had just said, but deciding it was better than dieing. The laser’s that went across the cell’s suddenly vanished, Sakura out stretched her hand and noticed that she didn’t encounter any resistance. Satisfied with what she had just seen she got up and walked out of the cell, hugging Syaoran in the process

Maskis just smiled, but a sudden noise caused him to spin around and bring up his sword, which had materialized out of no where. He blocked a large axe, easily 2 feet taller than him, and struggled to keep his balance due to the strength of his attacked. “I see the captain felt I didn’t have what It takes to kill them,” Maskis smiled knowing who it was who was attacking him. “Eh? Maxwell?”

A tall figure came out of the darkness; he was 7 feet tall and wore nothing but short’s and a tank top. The odor coming from the giant caused Maskis to put his gas mask on, “You need to shower buddy.. your beginning to reek”

Maxwell’s eye twitched at the comment, and lifted his axe and once more; brought it down on Maskises sword, which cracked in the middle due to the sheer power that it was just hit with

Sakura smiled, and took out her key. “Oh Key that conceals the power of the stars, reveal your true form before me, I, Sakura who made the contract, commands you, Release!” She yelled, the key that was in her hand suddenly changed in a wand and a star appeared on top of the wand

Maxwell looks at the girl, “Who the freak are you?” he says in a manly voice, but his breath cause’s Syaoran and the rest to back away. “You really DO need a bath,” Fai says and notice’s that Maxwell didn’t take to well to that comment. As Maxwell brings up his axe, ready to give Fai a crew cut, he heard the words “WATERY!” come out the little girl’s mouth

Watery spin’s around Sakura’s body then slam’s into the big lug nut, sending him crashing to ground and making the ship shack violently

Meanwhile, on the patrol ship

“I’m reading a 15.9 on the recterscale on that ship,” Said the sensor’s officer

“Recterscale? How?! There in the void between dimensions! It’s impossible for an earthquake to occur here!”

“Ummm…. Perhaps something rather HEAVY hit the deck?”

The two officers laughed at the mere thought of a 4000 pound man hitting the deck of a ship like that, which WOULD cause it to shake violently like it did, it then dawned on them that the shaking could’ve been from just that type of a person

Ok, back to the other ship..

Fai flew backward, Sakura was swept off her feet when the axe hit the ground and rotated slamming into her leg and breaking her ankle. Kurogane managed to stay on his feet and Maskis was up against the wall, a large gash across his chest. “Blast…” he said and hit the transport button, suddenly all five vanished and then reappeared on the hanger deck

Maskis limped over to another panel and typed in another command, a buzz could be heard and a door opened on the far side of the bay, a shield suddenly rippled across the open void as if something had hit it. “Come on, we need to get out of here.” He said and limped over to a rather large transport craft that was docked in the hanger bay. But as expected, Sakura and the other’s stopped, not knowing if the craft was truly safe, or if it was even flyable

He just smiled. “There’s nothing to worry about,” Maskis said, “its safe”

A flash of light spiraled over the barrier, impacting it and causing a near by container to catch fire. “I don’t believe it, that ships weapons can actually penetrate that barrier,” Maskis said and rushed everyone on board. The transport came to life, it’s engine’s baffles suddenly turning a slight shade of red as the engine’s came online and the transport spun around

Maskis knew that they wouldn’t let him leave, so as if on cue, several turret’s appeared from the top of the ceiling and targeted the cockpit of the transport, but there lasers couldn’t penetrate the armor, plus the transport’s own turret system returned fire and incinerated the hanger defense’s

There transport blasted through the barrier, flying away from the cruiser and on an unknown course

Back on the Patrol ship

Kalshion was just now walking back onto the bridge when he got word. “A transport just left the cruiser; I’m reading Sakura’s life signs on board,” an officer shouted over the many other alarms the blurred. “Inform my sister to stand down, where destroying this ship”

His bridge officers smiled, it was about time he gave them the go ahead to destroy this enemy.

“Positron Cannon coming back online-“

“Creation Cannons are at 50%”

“Plasma launchers are armed”

“Fusion and Quantum Resonance torpedoes are armed!”

“FIRE!” Kalshion yelled and gripped his chair

The ship shuddered as over 400 torpedoes filled the void between the two ships, creation energy burst forth from there respected turrets and Positron energy fired out of its main cannons. Balls of super heated Plasma also etched there way to there pray, striking a amidship and burning through several decks

The creation energy that had been fired from the Patrol ship finally reached it’s target, obliterating the entire back side of the vessel, leaving only the front end still operational, at least until the Positron energy found it’s mark, annihilating what remained of the ship, minus a few escape pods that managed to escape the explosion

“Round up-“ Kalshion was about to say before something caught his eye

~Warning! Unstable Wormhole detected!~

“Freak…” Kalshion said and took over movement control of the ship, rerouting all power to engine’s and thrusters and moving the ship around. Radiation and debris from the black hole slammed into the patrol ships shields

A sudden force slammed into the patrol ship, it was so hard that everyone flew out of there seats or went crashing onto the deck. Kalshion watched as the transport that head fled from the cruiser got sucked into the wormhole. “Triangulate … Triangulate!!” he yelled

One of the officers got up off the deck and ran a check. “Dimension…. Omega… 9834….” The officer yelled before being thrown right back onto the deck

“Am omega dimension… shit… those are sealed off areas that only we are allowed in…” Kalshion managed to say. “Straighten the ship up, where going in”

The bridge crew looked at each other, then back at there commander, the patrol ship came about and went right into the Wormhole, which closed soon after they had entered

Wormhole’s normally lead to blackness… but in the void between dimensions it act’s in a different pattern, leading to other world’s and other place’s, where do you think they went this time?

Chapter 2: Anonymous Surprise
(by Kasawa Lanford, added on 2005-09-24 12:02:10 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

The ship shook violently as it made its way through the wormhole. Sakura held on tightly to one of the many rings that littered the interior of the cabin, she felt frightened by the constant shaking of the ship and her tight hug on Syaoran made him blush

Maskis looked over his shoulder at the two. “Hang on,” he said and steered the shuttle out of the way of a piece of debris from there old ship, something hit the bottom of the transport which caused it to go upright and spin chaotically

Finally after several tense minute’s the transport itself slowed down and finally went straight, but Maskis saw the exit of this wormhole, but without knowing where they were it would be impossible for him to get them out of where ever they landed

“Brace yourselves,” Maskis yelled as the transport exited the wormhole, a planet came into view one with which Maskis recognized. Ok this is impossible, how can we be back into Sakura’s world….

The transport breached the atmosphere and came toward the planet’s surface, what Maskis saw next caused his blood to run cold. No, this isn’t her world… this is a dimension that we shouldn’t be in… he looked over his shoulder and at Sakura who was not as frightened as she was before, perhaps it was because the shaking had finally stopped. He brought the transport around and toward a small island. The landing was smooth

He sighed. “Ok… where safe… I hope”

Sakura looked at Syaoran, then back at herself, then back at Maskis. “Back…. On that ship.. you said we where married?”

Syaoran looked away from Sakura, blushing as well. “It’s difficult to explain, the other’s we brought where married, except for the last batch who where to young.” Maskis said

“But.. how?”

He couldn’t answer that question. “It’s best for you to find out on your own, I don’t know the future, or what will happen in the next few hours”

Sakura was confused, she didn’t know what to make of the situation, granted she had her key with her and her card’s so she wasn’t completely lonely, plus she had Syaoran with her so she felt safe. But it was the word ‘married’ that bugged her, she loved him, and he loved her, but they hadn’t even talked about the possibility of marriage

He watched the two as they walked off. They need time alone, Maskis thought to himself. He walked toward the edge of a cliff and smiled. “You two are wondering what role you play in this?”

Fai just stared at him. “There not the Sakura or Syaoran we traveled with”

“No, they aren’t. The one’s you traveled with are dead.” Maskis said without any hint of emotion

“Who killed them…” Kurogane asked with both arm’s folded, but his hand was near his blade

Maskis didn’t meet eye contact, but Fai already knew the answer. “You did… didn’t you?” Fai said. Maskis just stared over the ocean before sighing. “It was an order, I was told they would endanger some prophecy that we had been told about… but now I realize that they didn’t endanger anyone”

Kurogane swore. “Bastard….” He almost pulled his blade out, but Fai stopped him. “How old are you?” Fai asked. Maskis turned around, “How… old am I?” he said then smiled. “How old do I look?”

“13.. perhaps 14…” Fai said as he studied Maskis. Maskis smiled, “Yes… I am 13”

“Impossible.. how can a child like you kill a person?” Kurogane said, although there was a hint of anger in his tone

He sighed and walked away. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” Kurogane yelled, but Maskis didn’t want to answer, would it hurt to tell them that he had already sacrificed his family by saving them? In fact, it might even make them wonder why he did it in the first place, if family comes first, why did he save them?

That’s the answer he wasn’t willing to question, for he didn’t know what would happen if it ever came to him. But his main concern was to get in contact with the Space Time Witch, Yuko, and find a way to get Sakura and everyone else off this world

The group set up camp there, the transport was useless for them, since it could only enter an atmosphere, it couldn’t leave an atmosphere, and its interdimentional drive was beyond his repair capabilities

Night was already drawing near, and that worried Maskis, if this was truly the dimension he was thinking of, then night time was the most dangerous. He looked around then smiled at what he saw, there was some coverage in the area which would make it so that him and his guest’s could set up camp and further hid

Later that night, the moon cast an eerie red glow across the planet. As the group began to settle for the night, Fai heard something off the distance, a rumbling of sort. “What’s that?”

Maskis was on look out when he saw it coming; he jumped down from the tree. “We got trouble!” He yelled just as a ball of red energy slammed into the ground near him, sending him into a near by rock. He shook his head; blood ran down from his forehead. “Oooh.. this just isn’t my day” he said as he got up, a sword appeared in his hand just as two figure’s appeared before them. “We want that girl,” one of them pointed a hand, which was all boney, to Sakura

Syaoran stepped in front of her. “Why?”

“She has what our mistress wants; she has Clow Reed’s power.” The figure smiled. Syaoran snarled. “Over my dead body,” he said. One of the figures laughed, “That CAN be arranged little boy”

Maskis moved in front of the figures. “More like over mine,” he said and took a defensive position. “You’re part of the Empire of Clow”

“You know of us?” They said in unison. Maskis sighed, “I know you violate the Internode Federation mandate and enter dimension’s without due cause seeking anyone who has Clow Reed’s power,” he said. “And what you do is any different?”

Fai summoned his staff and stared at the two. “You two talk too much,” he said and began to conjure something up, one of the figures just smiled and caste something on Fai, canceling out his own magic

Maskis lunged toward and swung with his sword, one of the figures raised its staff into the air, catching the sword in mid air and breaking it in half. “How the hell…” Maskis said before being stabbed in the chest with the same staff, the blade on the end went completely through; the figure then pulled his staff out of Maskis chest and let him hit the ground

“Now, who’s next?” The boney figures grinned wickedly; Syaoran kept his stance and waited for one of them to attack him. “Boy, you have no sword, how do you intend to protect that tramp?” One of the two said, that made Sakura slightly pissed, she didn’t appreciate being called a ‘tramp’ nor did she appreciate them coming after her just because had Clow Reed’s power

As she took her key out she heard another girl’s voice, a voice that sounded exactly like hers. “FIRESTORM!” came the yell that echoed across the many rocks on the island. Storm cloud’s formed in the sky and a wave of fire erupted from the center, engulfing there attackers and reducing there body’s to ashes

She hadn’t been the only one who had recognized the girl’s voice, Syaoran had as well. When he looked toward a small hill he saw someone clad in armor, a large sword in one hand, held in place by something that Syaoran couldn’t see

Two more boney men appeared out of thin air, something else was near the island causing thing’s to remain hidden, but the Bone’s didn’t get very far before the man that Syaoran had seen sprang into action. The man brought his sword down, hard, and severed one of the figures in half; he then swung around, brought his sword to bare on the other Bone, who lost his head in the spin

Sakura watched intently and heard another word. “Freezey!” can the yell from the girl he knew had to be her, but yet, how could it? She was here, with Syaoran.. how could she be there when she was here, the thought racked at her brain and caused her to get rather confused. The cloud’s that had brought the firestorm changed to a slight shade of blue and it began to rain, the rain being ice cold and ran heavily on the ground, turning it to ice and causing anything that touched it to slip, strangely enough the man that had saved them didn’t slid, it was then that Syaoran recognized why. “Hey! He’s using magic that I know of…”

“Float?” Sakura said, noticing the slight bubble that was around the man. The man floated toward the group. “You’re not safe here,” he said although his voice was slightly muffled. “You must come with us,”

Maskis managed to get a hand hold on a tree. “Trust him…” he said to Sakura and the others before falling unconscious due to the pain and the fact that he had just been impaled

A girl landed near them, wing’s protruded from her back, it was at that point that Sakura recognized the girl. “Y… Yo…. YOUR ME!” she yelled

The girl turned around and smiled
