I have one word to say.

WRONG.

That may be hilarious and very fan-based, but men should NEVER EVER do things like that. EVER.

No matter if they are Japanese fans or not.

I showed a friend, and she shares this comment with us:

...Um, are you being serious? If so, why should men never do things like that? There's nothing wrong with crossdressing.

i've got nothing against crossdressers. I think its cute.

but that was just...strange. if they hadn't gone to such lengths, I'd say they were making fun of it all. and for crossdressers, they weren't trying very hard to hide their masculinity.

Errrr....

While the video is wrong, cross dressing isn't... trust me.. I... err... have done it for a few anime conventions with my girlfriend before.....

We also need to remember that japanese youth are VERY different from other country's, what they may find humerous, we may find insulting. What they find as funny may be down-right annoying to us.

So to me the video is wrong, but at least those kids are so obessed they are willign to do THAT to show how addicted they are

I'm not against crossdressing. Heck, if I were a guy I'd probably be all up for it. it was the way they did the entire video that made me cringe.

And for the record...I've been told I have no sense of humor and whatever way people want to dress, act or do on their own, I have no problems with that at all. I call that individuality...whatever makes people happy it matters not to me.

However I do, along with eveyone else here, can voice their opinion about it, which I did. If you don't like it, that's too bad.

I think if people want to attack my opinions about this, I'm going to either have to get this thread locked and/or start issuing a couple of warnings to people. Let's stick to the subject.

Considering this video came out in 1998, yes, that was when it was 1st made, it was ment for fun, and no harm, besides, I showed this to a guy friend, he laughed so hard I'd thought he'd wet himself, then I showed him the anime version on it, after that, he was hooked.
Now, like me, he likes everything of CLAMP, and then some.

People have their own oppions on things, and if you have a closed mind to what others do or think. Think about it, besides, this is a fun posting toppic.

My comments about the video are what I feel about it...my opinions. Whether you agree or disagree is up to each and every one of you. The majority seem to enjoy it and that's fine. There's a few that felt it wasn't to their liking and that's fine as well. In my post did I not direct my comments to anyone...only the video. I wish CT and the n00b stuck to that. Instead the two directed their comments toward me and put a damper on this thread.

Please...love it or hate it, direct the comments toward the video and discuss without questioning whether people have something against crossdressing and the such. That's all I ask.

Hahaha. I just watched it. I thought it was really funny! Though I think it's really more of a parody than it is bashing of CCS, though that's just how I perceived it myself. I mean, I used to be absolutely obsessed with Lord of the Rings, and I made fun of it all the time because I loved it. Anyway, I thought it was funny. >_>

The best part was the beginning, though, when they dropped the cherry blossom petal and you could see the guy's other shoe on the ground as he 'hovered' above it. LOL and the guy in the Kero suit!

Not horrifying at all. I loved this when I first saw it. They did such a good job tring to get all of the poses and camera angels and everything .Its very cute and commend them for their hard work!
