If you go to Anime connventions then there will be loads of people cosplaying as Sakura. Not sure about international con's, but in UK conventions there are alot of people "cross playing" to show how much they like the character of the oposite gender. I mean from the costumes you saw in the video you can see they worked hard on making them like cosplayers do. No one will work hard making a really lovely costume if they really hate the anime. Also in the video they did try to make it kinda close to the original opening, but it's impossible because no human can really fly or have the movements of Anime characters, but like some people say no matter how stupid the video looks, thats what fans do to show they like CCS. I mean if they were really making fun of CCS, then they will at least do something such as put something which implies "CCS must die" or something like that in the video.

anyway my take on the video.. i don't think those guys are fans o CCS.. fans of CCS won;t do such a thing!!! ok i'm rather disturbed and amazed at how people would spend time doin such a thing.. s true CCS would not downgrade CCS like that.. (i feel that the video's downgrading it.. my opinion.)

again, i dont think people who ARENT fans would take the time to work on the choreography to mimic the actions and make those outfits. the outfit that dude is wheraring is almost exactly like sakura's. yes its a wierd thing to watch, but its not to make fun of the show. doesnt it usualy cost $100's to make perfect cosplay outfits?

i mean seriously, I myself LOATH the show Yu gi oh...you dont see me making a costume and dressing like Yugi and mimiking the movements to make a short film on youtube...do you? XP

i would wanna downgrade something i don't like the way they did but not to the extend of spending the $$ on the costumes.. but then again if they are flithy rich i guess a few $100 doesn't matter.. i don't know if they are rich or not just making an assumption here

also, inorder to perfect the costumes and copy the coreography...wouldnt that mean you have to watch the show over and over and over, staring contsantly at the things...that be torture if tyou hate the show! XP

the vid was probably made by a bunch of people who had too much time on their hands XD

Seriously... Of course everyone decides on his own wheteher it's offensive or not, but those guys OBVIOUSLY worked hard on it. the costumes, the detailes, the movements... WHY would they do something like THAT if they were not fans of the show? Ok, it has already been said.
Personaly I think, they are definitely CCS fans ^^

I don't see what's so horrible about that video. It just looks like some fans having a good time (and being silly) to me. Where's the harm in it?

I also think this CCS video is ok. It's funny and really not meant to insult CCS fans at all... in fact, when I watched it, I also thought that it was a bunch of CCS fans having fun. I don't think people who are not fans would make such videos...

If this video was meant to be insulting to CCS fans, why aren't there more people offended by it? So far only a few people have been offended by it but most CCS fans either don't really care or think it's funny in a "we're laughing with you; not at you" way. Also, in Japan CCS is watched more by little girls than older anime fans due to their different cultural views of what's acceptable for children's programming. Why would the Japanese create this video to insult the litle girls in Japan who watch CCS? And I was just wondering but why do you think it's a slap in the face to CCS fans, anyway? This was a nice vid, and I'd like to see Fans from other nations did that to, be it male or female, its an iternational hit, so what, Anime is ment for fun and entertainment, and for the Japanese, well any nation/race for that matter that loves it, anime and manga is their escape, so quit bashing the vid

Yeah true, I mean I wouldn't mind making my own CCS video, but I don't know how to sew, make costumes or have a video camera at all.
Now I wonder if someone on this forum does the same thing as those Japanese people in the video, will the same comments be thrown at them?

no one would spend so much time if they were trying to insult, i mean...i probably would be one of those people up there if i had the knowlege for it...
