Appreciation of Junko Iwao (Tomoyo's Seiiyu)

Don't you agree that Junko Iwao have a wonderful voice? An angelic voice prefect for peaceful, classical, soothing music.. Not to mention Christmas Carols too!!

Here's some of my favourite CCS songs which she sings..
1. Yoru no Uta / Night Song
2. Tomo e / To My Friend
3. Kureyuku Hitotose / As the Year Ends
4. Yasashisa no Tane / Seed of Kindness
5. Koko ni Kite / Come Here

Yup, I agree with you. She has a very beautiful voice!!!! (I envy her XD). And the songs you listed are really good!!! (but I don't have Kureyuku Hitotose) XD
I wonder if she has sung for another anime.....

Iwao-san played the main character in Perfect Blue, a pop star named Mima, and she sang the songs in that movie, but be warned that Perfect Blue is much more violent and sexual than CCS.  And yes, I love Tomoyo's singing voice, too.  My favorite Tomoyo song will always be Koko no Kite but my favorite Iwao Junko song of all time is Ai no Tenshi from Perfect Blue.

I also love her voice, is cute in CCS, but in Ayashi no Ceres anime as Ceres, her voice was realllllyyy different, it seems more mature and sexy  :lol:

btw, does anyone know the title for the song that Tomoyo sang in CCS movie 2 during the festival , i mean before sakura's drama??

Yoru no Uta was the first song I sang to my friend...*cries* brings back memories! But she said I sounded like a 5 year old...-_- )

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it but I found this video which seems to be Tomoyo singing to Sakura? I'm not sure if that's Iwao Junko as well... I remember having this video long ago and until now I am not sure what this video really is, who is singing it and where did it come from. Any ideas?

P.s. If this is not the right place to put it, shall I start a new topic on this?

hmmx.. it doesn't seem like Tomoyo's voice.. I don't think this song is recorded in any of the OSTs too! anyone has any idea what this song is?? this video also shows Sakura and Tomoyo's friendship in various episodes..

Cherry-tiger-san is this an AMV or an offical CLAMP video? and don't worry this would fit in this thread since we are talking about Junko Iwao or Tomoyo..

Even I'm not sure... that's why I'm asking. I don't think it's an AMV because the subtitles below are the lyrics to the song that's being sung in that video. And I don't think AMV makers will make AMVs with Japanese subtitles to it...

I think the proper way of calling it would be an official video from Madhouse (since they were the ones who created the anime for CCS)? But even that I'm not sure and am wondering where did this video really come from. @_@

The song is called "Pray" and is the opening for an anime called "Seraphim Call". It's not sung by Iwao Junko but by Yuko Sasaki. In any case, it's a lovely song and a very well-done music video.

Oh, and Iwao Junko forever! *worships*

hmmmx.. that means it's a AMV then.. i remebered the word 'Seraphim Call' appearing somewhere at the beginning.. why would somebody who wanna do a video on Seraphim Call use CCS images instead?

They obviously wanted to do a CCS amv, not a Seraphim Call. Maybe they wanted to show their appreciation of SC in the video, though, apart from the song. Or maybe they are comparing Tomoyo to a seraph, calling out to her beloved Sakura. She is a pretty angelical girl after all, isn't she? Ok, maybe that was a bit far-fetched...

I definitely have an appreciation for Junko-san's voice. It's so angelic and so out of this world. I have so many of her songs already. If anybody needs some of her songs, I'll be more than happy to upload them ^_^
