Hey! I know most of us (i think) don't like our real names.
Why do we use a nick? One of the reasons (much of reasons XD), is because we don't like too much our names. Or because we want to have a name that represents our real beings. Am I right?

And besides, how many times have you though which name do you prefer instead of yours?

It would be interesting to know!

Like me.
My name is Lorena. I like it but.....

I'd prefer to be called
Zaria - "rose" (yeah, it sounds like Saria from The legend of Zelda XD!!!)
Melina - "canary" "yellow" (like my dead friend...)
Rayel - (don't know what it means or where it comes from, BUT I LIKE IT A LOT!!)

Or why not Japanese??
Nadesico - "carnation" (you know it, hehehe)
Sakura - (hey!! is a really cool name!!)
Kasumi - (I also like it! hehehe!)

ummm for me i love the name starlynnÂ Â thats what my mom was gunna name me but my dad didnt like it so they named me nikaya (n-i-k-ya) and ya natalia i love ur name and ur user name those would be beautiful names for a beautiful personÂ Â like u hehe

Leyna - (German for Angel. I saw some German people on here, so correct me if I'm wrong! XD)

Japanese:
Midori ("Green", my favorite color. ^_~)
Hanae (I know "Hana" means flower...XD)
Ame ("Rain", I lovvveee rain...)

there is so many name that come to my mind,but logically i would like to be called Tatasenko since it's the nickname i chose

I like my nickname Ishiyaki cause I like how it sounds, but its meaning is weird: it means "hot stone to fry potatoes"...

I'd like to be called "Sandra"or "Mei"

In japanese, I've a lot of names!!! I'd like Hanako, Akane, Eri, Sumomo

, Arashi...etc,etc

My real name, Bia is fine. My parents said it stands for Born in America. I think it's cute, but for a japanese name...
Kotori - Little bird, (if I added Haruno, it'd be Little Bird of Spring)^_^~
Sakura - ^^teehee! Who wouldnt like a cute name for a girl?!^^
Euphoria!<3 - not japanese, but I just like saying it... Means health or something?? But in wikipedia it can also mean extreme happiness!^O^~

in video games i have also picked up some names which were cute:
"Lemina","Luna","Schala","Elly","Jean","Aeris","Sierra","Gally","Palom"...and so many others!
i especially love the sound with the letter "L",it gives a sweet phonation

well, my name sounds a little boyish (rosen) and it's unique.. AND I LIKE IT! i hate my second name (paula) it's so girlish for my personality...

going back to the topic:
i would like to have a name of Merriana and nickie for that is 'Rianne' (ri-yey-n)

when it comes to japanese:
i want the name Rina and have a nickname of Rai...

i know that this isn't the right topic but my real french name is "Elodie",which rings like "melody",so it is quite poetic tuneful and harmonious,even if however i don't know any song about itÂ

Sakura(you surely know what it means)
Kanna (wich means "godless")
