how do i split a song file?

theres a song i like, but part of the song id like to cut out, the end half... how do i do that?

The only way I know of is to import the song into Windows Movie Maker, cut it as you wish and then save the finished result as a movie file (if you don't add any video clips or pictures, it'll work just as a song file).

it doesnt let me do that tho. i cannot save any tiype of file. =|

i cant even start a new project!

im trying to work with 'b roken sword of justice" i want toe first 1:10 (or 1:9.75) but i just cant o it myself, snd id rather not download a bunch of new software.

someone gave me a program, 'mp3directcut, a tiny program that helps split mp3s. so im gonna lock this thread now ^^
