Well its finally come.
The Fan Fiction System for the site is up and running, there may still be some bugs lurking around
but if there are let me know (by replying to this topic).
The following is the only bug noticed so-far:
Minor image/text alignment problem in the header when viewed in Firefox.
Compliants and suggestions are welcomed :D

(Remember this system is only for CCS & TRC Fanfics)
The fanfic review system is tied into the forums, if a fanfiction is posted that there is already a topic for, just hang tight and I'll will merge the topics.

anyway, found a few bugs... >_<
- I haven't logged in yet but the welcome part already says "Hey, SLi". oh wait, this is a different registration, am I right?
- the Contact Us email link is "administrator%40e-devstudio.com" and beside that, shouldn't the text mention your fic script and not CapturedWings or it's maybe something else? heheh..
- printer friendly page and send to friend page cannot be found
- I tried casting a vote (not logged in) but it only lead me to a blank page (?)
That's all I could find right now. Other than those minor errors, good job! :okay:

What about the appropriateness of the fics? There should be a rule about the ratings, don't you think? Like R-rated fics and such. Hehehe... :D

when somebody posts a story they select the story rating.
When a story is show on the index page, the rating is there. I will also watch them, if a story that should (for instance) be R rated, but isn't, I will adjust it.

Ok, I've fixed up all posted problems.
Registration works fine now :D
Printer Friendly Page and Send to friends links have been removed for the moment.
Rate story blank page is fixed.
Feel free to start using the system
(Little Wolf: I left the e-mail as-is till a e-mail address is decided :D)

hm..somehow, I think a different layout for the fanfic site would be much better rather than just using the currrent forum theme. :wink:

My story has been deleted since I ran into too many problems with the editing. Since there were no responses or discussions about it, I doubt I'll re-post it or post any other stories here.

Arcademan, I was enjoying your story, just haven't had time the last couple of days to look or comment!
I have a question about the ratings.
If you start a story with one rating, but then add a chapter that's a bit more mature, can you up the rating or are you stuck with what you put first?

i was editing my profile and saved it, but it logged me out so i was like that's ok. ^^
But then when i tried logging in with the right username and password i coudn't get in.

Yeap you can, find it under Story Manager -> Edit Story Info on the story in question.

Looks like I'm having problems too.
I signed up, logged in and went into my profile.
It logged me out and won't let me back in ~ Invaled name/password error

I've now fixed the login issue.
This problem should now longer occur :D

I'm still finding it really hard to get to the stories.
Shouldn't your discussion topic have a link to the actual story?
It has a title link, but when you click on it you get a page that says Full Text and Table of Contents. If you click on one of those, you still don't get the story.

oh theres an alternative way for that. you just have to click the mouse several more times. Lol. i just go back to the homepage and look for the title of the story. =]

I can't seem to register myself as a new account because I've not got a verification email. In fact I dn't even think my details have been registered because when I try using them, they don't even say something like "Account not verified"-rather saying no such user exists. Is it just my computer, or does it take that many days for the verification email to arrive?

No, it only takes within 30 minutes of registration for it to arrive. Well, that's what happened to me anyway.

correct, E-mail shoudn't take too long to arrive.
If it fails to arrive, after 48 hours your pending user creation is deleted, so just try to sign up again.
Also if you are using a hotmail or yahoo account besure to check your junk e-mail/bulk e-mail folder.

For those who haven't seen the Fan Fiction System, there are several stories written by very talented people here. Give them a read and then give some feedback on them and what you liked. Give it a try...it won't hurt. Promise :)

We would prefer it to stay in English.
Just do your best, if you want before you post it, just ask someone here to a proof-read for you, then post it up. I'm sure someone would be willing to help out :D

Forum members...there are some really great stories by some talented people over in the Fan Fiction area. Give them a look and then some feedback. I'm sure the respective writers would appreciate the look and praise :)

I seen that only a small handful of members have started using the new General Fan-Fiction sub-forum...not too many views so when you get a chance, take a peek over there if you can :wink:

By mistake, hit the enter button twice when uploading up my fan fiction, so two stories got plublish. I was wondering if you can delete one for me, because I can find out how to delete it. I'm so sorry, and it won't happen again.

Question: Does the site accept crossovers? Specifically CCSxTRC?

Yes, just pick the category that the main switchover is ocurring,
IE: TRC into CCS world then pick TRC else if its CCS to TRC then choose CCS

Goota bump this back up for the n00bs plus the fact that there are new stories and some of the older ones are still continuing. Give them a read when you have the time and make a comment or two to the writers. Praise and critiques are always welcomed and appreciated.
