Please do not use excessive emo-icons in one message. For example:       ==> is too much. Using a few emo-icons would be fine, and I'm sure we will understand it. :)

i'm pretty kewl with the rules...

except the swearing part...coz i definately can't stop myself from saying ' TRC's _ _ _ _ _ is so d*** kewl!!!'

so does d*** count as a swearing????? but oh well, its not that 'excessive' if i only use the swear word once though..lol

wanna mention something, does it relate to this topic??? anyway, you can delete this if you want...
instead of promoting the site in my LJ ...i've already promoted it as a 'Special Notice' for every member in my yahoo group to join!!!! So does this relate to the slight increase in the no. of members? hm...

someone remind me how to use spoiler tags

like um...this?
Show content
Syaoran loves Sakura!

You'll need to click on the word Spoiler for it to appear.

here's how it was done:
Code: [Select]
Syaoran loves Sakura!
btw, I'm moving this into a new topic in the Help Center board here just to keep things organized. :)

I would say that fate drew me into Tsubasa^^.
storytime :D!
Prongs and Okami met at the galleria. They decided to browse a few shops, including the bookstore. That time, Okami was currently reading the CCS series. She did not know about it when it first came out, but decided to read it.   As they entered the bookstore, there was a shelf that read "New released!". Okami was curious. "He....looks like Syaoran." she thought. Okami turned to Prongs. "Hey Prongs, look. He looks the same!" She turned the book over. on the back, it read "Sakura and Syaoran return!"
The end XD
...You wouldn't be able to imagine the expression I had on my face^^;. But it's true, if I hadn't met Prongs-kun at th e galleria, I probally wouldn't be obssesed with it now. "there is only Hitsuzen.." ^^

oh! currently there isn't... I should probably hurry in finishing up the gallery. In the meantime, you can just create a topic under the main tsubasa forum. :)

Yes, wait for Little Wolf to answer, but think he would like to keep the community legal, but final decision is his.

Post by: lumizstar on April 05 2005, 07:37 pm
Sure. I meant to only put linkage around. I can see other forums do for current anime, besides, since TRC isn't liscensed yet, its legal for the raws ^^

Post by: Little Wolf on April 07 2005, 01:47 am
LOL, you were all waiting for me...

so, regarding the episode links, for TRC right?
I'll permit people to post the links to torrent files of the episodes and possibly the actual episode files as well, if you have it uploaded somewhere. As long as TRC isn't licensed yet and/or Clamp or any of its copyright holders contact us about putting links down, it'll be permitted. Heck, I, myself, am planning to post the torrents here once they're released! :D Look at the fansites of other popular animes like Naruto, they do it as well and their sites are still up so I guess it would be okay with TRC too.. :)
Title: Re: READ ME! - General Forum Rules -
Post by: lumizstar on April 07 2005, 01:59 am
Ok. Thanks for your reply. I plan to make some sitcky topics regarding the links only thread for the BT dls, and also like the official disscussion for the current episode. That way, maybe it will be more tidy and neat :P
Title: Re: READ ME! - General Forum Rules -
Post by: Little Wolf on April 07 2005, 02:22 am
yeah...one topic for each episode and just one topic for BT links. great idea!

Title: Re: READ ME! - General Forum Rules -
Post by: lumizstar on April 09 2005, 01:23 am
Ok. Here is it how I'm going to do it. I'll open one sticky episode thread every week ( discuss about the current episode there). And prevent people for talking craps in it, I'll lock it, until the day before the episode airs. After one week, when the next episode airs, I'll change it back to a normal thread. About the bittorrent thread, as I'm not sure of how many actual subbers, or raws (we have saiyaman for sure, and maybe l33t), therefore anyone just post in the links page, if you see a new link for dling the episode ( i mean a new version). As for other stuff, if you want a collected thread for discusing offiial music, pictures, fanart, etc...maybe we can creat another sticky thread =P The point of making it sticky, is becasue it always stays at the top, and somehow seems to be more organized. Please add any more ideas and comments. =)

Title: Re: READ ME! - General Forum Rules -
Post by: Little Wolf on April 09 2005, 03:07 am
Regular members can't make sticky topics or lock threads. There are mods and admins for that. :)
Hope you understand. If everyone had that power here, it might get abused.

Anyway, that's a really nice idea. Yes, I'll sticky the topics for each current episode. Actually, I already made one for episode one if you haven't noticed. :okay: I'll unlock it now since it's already the 9th of April here and in this forum too. :D

Post by: lumizstar on April 10 2005, 01:44 am
Thanks a lot guys ^^. I was really worried with the forums, because this problem is forseeable in the future. IF this forum gets to that stage (i.e. big, and too many "trouble-makers" I'm afraid is hard to revert back to a simple discussion board. Anywayz, I comment that we should indeed follow the rules as strictly as possible. Most importantly, from what I observed, I see that spamming and off-topic is a very big problem in my own forum. The admins had a hard time keeping it in line =/ and finally thy coldn't bare it and had to do a big clean up. I hope this forum can be successful and can aoid these problems. But I'm sure Little Wolf and SLi can handle it ^^

Yes Ashelygurl, I agree with you. People have started to spam around in the forum, and also post posts with a single word or a few words. Off-topic is quite serious I think...but thats only my opinion. :P

Hi Ashleygurl, Welcome back (again :))^^ Yes, we did a lot on moving, deleting, warning, and so on just as to give people a stronger sense to obey the rules, and don't spam.... at least we did see the people in the boards calm down a lot. But one problem goes down,. another comes up :( But I'm sure our admins are trying their best to maintain the forum at its best. :)

A flame war refers to a topic that turns into nothing but attacks against others, over thier opinions of a certian topic.

- Probably not the best explantion there is, but the best I can offer at the moment

Sounds reasonable.
Err...one sentences not allowed? That's gonna make things difficult for things that can't be fleshed out anymore than one sentence.
Oh well, my posts are usually relatively "large". So I think I'll be okay.

I will try to keep my record clean
Title: Re: READ ME! - Forum Rules - (updated: May 1st)
Post by: D.J.P on May 02 2005, 12:11 pm
Ok, rephrase:

Simple sentences that serve no purpose to the post (in other words, meaningless or off-topic) are not allowed.

Hope that clears things up a little.

yea i already got a warning, so i'm already trying to make every post more than one line.
mainly so i won't be bothered again,
i never try to break the rules so when i get a warning i get really paranoid  :shifty:
i'm not even sure which posts they were talking about so i dunno how to "clean my act up" so to speak

Well, firstly it wasn't really a warning, but a reminder :) Since the reference provided should be remained confidential, we would not tell you exactly where you did. Besides, as I have explained, SLi, LW and I have a lot of site stuff to do, and we can't affford to tell you every mistake you have done.

Sometimes its not only one-line fillers, but also meaningless posts. And like what LW said? There are exceptions for some threads. Hm...re reminder was nothing very serious. If it was something bad, there won't be just a reminder *evil cackles*.

Ruby-chan: I'm sure its a minor problem. So don't worry :)

VexNet  I just want to point out its a sincere reminder, and it wasn't meant to make you pissed off. I have already pmed you with explaination. I hope you can understand our job :) (its the members who reported)

For starters, text message style is not allowed. (Read the first post of this topic).

As for the question, I think no.

A new reminder that came into my mind: Please do not use excessive emo-icons in one message. Using a few would be enough, and I'm sure we'll understand your meaning :)

If you have any question about this note, feel free to PM me or other moderators and administrators  :keke:

^ Usually, it's the newbies who do that.
Excessive emoticons = exaggerated emotions :dodge:

But yeah, it would be wise for the regulars here not to do that. Thankfully, I haven't seen one post here having that.

I usually put one emoticon at the end of my post...it's almost tradition and it's usually a smile, grin or a blink of an eye

Bumping this since there are those who are new here that would really benefit from reading the rules to the forum, in particular the above rule about excessive emoticons.

Please do not use excessive emo-icons in one message. For example:       ==> is too much. Using a few emo-icons would be fine, and I'm sure we will understand it. :)

Amen! Because I find these things annoying, and if you live in the United States, remember  being annoying is illegal (http://news.com.com/Create+an+e-annoyance%2C+go+to+jail/2010-1028_3-6022491.html?tag=nefd.top)  :haha:

So now when someone breaks the rules, you can prosecute them! Follow the forum rules!

I'm making a ammendment to the rules (which I hope LW intergrates).

If you have a problem with any members of the staff, contact them first and try to solve it.
Do not, I repeat Do not contact the one of the admins unless you really feel that you can't resolve it with
the staff member in question.
