This is the discussion thread for Magic Knight Rayearth I and II.

During my trip to Las Vegas last week, I decided to re-read the first Magic Knight Rayearth set and I got to say...CLAMP did a very good job with not only the storyline but the artwork is fantastic. After all these years, it still is a great read. About the only negative was the sudden ending when they suddenly returned to Tokyo...final 3 panels of the last page. You knew this was screaming 'sequel'.

It has been ages since I last read the manga or even watch the Amine, but I got to say I REALLY love MKR!!! I agree the artwork and storyline is fantastic
Hikaru is my favourite character and I'm looking to cosplay as her in the future ^_^

Dark Horse will be releasing the omnibus of the series soon...most likely as 2 books covering both 3 book sets. They will include colored pages and additional pictures.

The omnibus of Magic Knight Rayearth will be released by Dark Horse on September 29, 2010.

The Magic Knight Rayearth omnibus release has been pushed back to October 27.

The first MKR omnibus has once again been pushed back to December 8 with the second omnibus scheduled for release on January 19, 2011.

Damn Dark Horse! First they delayed CCS indefinitely, now the first MKR omnibus, originally scheduled for December 8 was pushed back to January 18 with no guarantee it will come out. Don't know if there's an issue between Dark Horse and CLAMP but I hope it gets resolved soon.

Magic Knight Rayearth omnibus has been put on hold indefinitely by Dark Horse. They say it will be released eventually this year but no date has been set for it.

Sites are quoting July 19th as the release date though I was told by a source a few may have them NOW!

EDIT: Book NOW available at Dark Horse's website for $19.99.

Excellent re-release done by the good folks at Dark Horse. On the last page of the book is a blurb for the second series omnibus however no date has been set at this time. Check back for future release date.

Release date for the second Rayearth omnibus is scheduled for April 11, 2012. 700 pages total including colored pages and artwork.

Release date was pushed back to April 24 but it is now available. Mine's on its way :)
