ive preordered mine a long time ago from barnes and nobles. ill get it on the 21st (sadly i wont be joining the midnight party :( ) and will be obsorbed in it untill i read it all. i just hope i dont ruin it. book 5 the spine got broke and i lost the dust over for book 6 and its got stains all along the sides. tho ill admit, i would NOT mind losing the covor for book 7. its just bleh.
wait... i just remembered...mom ordered me the delux edition.... crap. O_O i gotta take super-extra care of that one!!!!

I honestly don't see that much hype, funnily enough. It seems to have been slowly dying down since book 6. Nevertheless I got it preordered as well. Can't wait, though I have to say I didn't enjoy 6 as much as I did the others. Gonna have to reread it again; I forgot everything that happened.

Yes...I think it does. I want to make it clear to everyone not to spoil the story for everyone until it comes out, then use only spoiler tags to discuss certain aspects. I know it's common knowledge that the book won't be coming out in advance even for a review but somewhere someone going to get their hands on the book a week in advance and start blabbing. I don't want this place to spoil the story for anyone, that's all.

my brother hasnt read book 6! if he plan's on reading book 7, he damn well better read book 6! he'll be confused as to what those "THINGS" are and to the you-know-what at the end >_< he said he found that people found book 6 boring so he enver read it. so stupid. yes parts were boring (slughorn's partys) but there was enough moments to keep you on the edge =P

Then you should make a sticky saying "NO SPOILERS". Because stickying the entire Harry Potter discussion thread might give people the idea that you're favoring Harry Potter over other forms of entertainment.

I really doubt people would think that, especially since there's several long threads plus the fact not many people post in this section of the forum anyway.
When the book comes out, the title of this thread will be changed to reflect it plus the thread will be un-sticky. Putting it as a sticky makes sure people sees it and heeds its warnings when they check out this part of the forum.

I can't imagine it's only about a month left until it's released! But I don't know which version I'm going to buy. I like the US cover the most, it's really beautiful, but the UK cover looks awful. It's just full of colors everywhere. But unfortunatly I can't order the US version, cause apparently the only version available here is the UK one. But at least it's the inside that counts, right? :3

I really prefer the UK cover, it looks very nice! I wonder, who do you guys think will die? My sister keeps saying its Harry, but I dont want that to happen...I think it will be Snape. I think Snape is a good guy. Hey, any of you going to the midnight party?

im pro snape too. he had his reasons for what he did. and all point to loyalty towards dumbledore.
the delux cover loks wicked. the box is the lame US cover, but the delux cover is harry riding a HUGE dragon.

I've not read any of the books but I know in quite some depth what happens in 7.
I was amused by how it all ended. Most people I know finished reading the book the day or day after it was finished too.

Wow, the book was fantastic, but it didnt mention Luna...nor the Dursley...I wonder what happened to them? Still, I'm satisfied with the ending! Did any of you go to the release party?

one thing i didnt get... JKR said that there will be one who didnt use magic before, but will use it in time of great peril.... i never saw that person, and i swear the only parts i truely glossed over was skeeter's book.... was she refereing to Ariana's picture, or was she lying?
another thing i just cant imagin is snape crying. XD im sorry, yes it's great that he's been FULLY redeemed. (take that snape haters :P) but still. the image i have set in my mind of snape is Alan rickman's portayal.... can someone show me of an image of him teary eyed? O.o
oh, and a moment of silence to those who perished. v__v

lol I liked the book and I got mine at 12 wean it came out sadly I read mine in three days I'm a big fan but I was tickit # 442 lol so there wear lots of people there so the fandom didn't really die out.
I liked this book a lot though I would want to know what happened the Luna and stuff and I really hate Ginny (don't ask I just do) and that ending kinda bothered me but hay it still was a good book and poor Ted and poor George p.q

as for the epiloge, aparently JKR expanded on it on a Today show interview... some people are saying "i read and printed it" but the place only had a video... ill figure a way to order the transcript of it, then post it myself =3
