And again, my opinions on the preview for next week!
What the heck? Are they rounding up Shurano country in three episodes too?! Noooo!
Though I must say, Kurogane's outfit looks sooo pretty! And Fai's outfit too! I always pictured those to be red, and not blue...
Ashura's ears look ugly. They're way too... Errrr... wide. And he/she looks too girly. I think it's the lipstick.
Well, the animation of that episode looks nice, apart from Ashura's ears. I love the Syaoran mirror thing.

if the shura arc is only going to be 3 eps, that means "love that transends time" is gonna end up being a filler? gah. so confusing -_-

No... I think that maybe they'll do an entire episode on Suzu-whatshername and Souseki. Or the last half of the fourth episode... I'm not sure if they'll actually finish the 'past' world in episode 3. But it looks like it.

I have to say that this episode was at least a lot better than the last two. It wasn't great and the characters still looked weird and awkwardly drawn (Kurogane especially, he looked like an old man the whole time), but it was alright. I really don't like the lipstick on Ashura.
Kuropon's attacks looked really sugoi though, especially the last one (I think it was something like tenba kuryuusen, but I don't know).
Also, the smooth Jazz version of a Song of Storm and Fire kinda made me laugh :keke:

Yeah, this episode seemed alot better than the previous few.
They kept most of the stuff from the manga, in as far as I can tell, and the characters were a bit better drawn (I think they always look better in the darker/nighttime episodes) although Sakura looked a little.. off now and then, Kuro did look a bit too old in some bits, and Fai had that sorta.. evil grin near the beginning that was sort of strange.. But anyway, I think this is my favourite of this series so far.
I loved Fai and Kurogane's eyes XD They made Kuro look sweet~

Okay, I saw the episode.
I must say, when it comes down to the plot, it all fit pretty nicely. No added crap, no removed crap... And very very nice new songs. Not just that Jazz song.
I loved the look on Sakura's face when Syaoran asked her to play that... lute thing. ^^'
Though the animation.... Well, nearing the ending of the episode, it got better. Like they switched animators in the middle of Syaoran's battle with Kurogane. Yasha looked very very... HOT, and Ashura looked awfully girly. Seriously, that lipstick! I bet it's just so the dubbers can make Ashura into a full woman. Even though he/she has a flat chest. >_>
And is it just me, or did Syaoran not make any comments at all about the black eyes? Also, did Fai even open his mouth in the past world? I don't think I heard him say anything...
Edit: Whoops, nevermind. I remember now.

Fai didn't know the language, did he? I think he pretended to be a mute or something in the manga. He always let Kurogane talk for him. It would've been suspicious if he said something now. ^^'

I thought this episode was pretty well put out, compared to the last few. The animation was better, yet still looked a bit out of it at times. Some of their looks scared me toward the beginning. Besides bring a bit rushed, I felt, the episode followed through most of the manga. Though I think Syaoran and Kurogane's battle could've been longer, the music during it was interesting. But Ashura with lipstick... pretty strange. Overall, I'd say this episode was pretty good. The preview for the next episode looks interesting, as well.

Ashura DID look feminine, but he's sort of supposed to- I mean, they never established a gender for him/her in RG Veda and he/she does look femmy in the manga and in the character guide there's a picture of him/her that DEFINITLEY has boobs. And that's not just me seeing thinga, because he/she is naked, and it's quite clear. So femmy Ashura is fine.

Really? Boobs? But in this episode, he/she was wearing outfits that clearly showed he/she was flatchested. O_o

Do the anime crew understand anything about surprises and suspense? Did they have to show such an obvious sillouette of Ashura and Yasha embracing? They've just ruined the end of this world like they did with Suzuran and Souzeki.
And although I loved the Kuro and Syao battle...at the end Kuro should have landed on Fay's horse-thing not to the side. It was one of the things that showed how well they worked together and was a sign that they'd been there a while (much longer than Sakura and Syaoran). It may seem petty but it was IMPORTANT for showing the amount of time they'd been SEPARATED! GAH!!!! The anime is just RUINING this story arc...*pout*
And as for Ashura's dance...I was hoping that since they used the crappy-apprentice-teenaged anime crew for the last episode that they would use the top quality one for this one and see Ashura's dance animated...but no, they were lazy and just drew the manga panel line for line and showed Sakura playing instead (although her 'Hoe!' was cute when she was asked to play).
I am almost at the point where I don't CARE if this season is finished being subbed...it's lacking in every way so far (despite the promising start it had with the first episode of Piffle World).

Wait, WHAT? They did establish a gender for Ashura in RG Veda - or rather, it was made very clear that Ashura was genderless. Thus, Ashura + breasts does not compute. Is this the Tsubasa character guide you're talking about?

I have to say, the animation was better in this episode that in last episode. It was cool seeing Kurogane and Fai in Yasha Clan mode too. ^_^
I so want to know what the heck happened between the two of them while they were separated from the others. And Yasha making emo googly eyes at Ashura... *snif* XD They are such a cute couple, and I'm so glad that they aren't nearly as creepy a couple in TRC as they were in RG Veda.

Yeah, in the character guide. I'd scan it if my cat hadn't pissed on it. Stupid beast. So if they have shots of flat-chested Ashura in the episode, and he's female in the character guide, and genderless inRG Veda...

Not having watched any other part of the anime (I'm just watching this part for Yasha and Ashura), I can't really say how it compares...Lots of the animation looks really lazy, though. Bee Train is capable of some very pretty animation, so that makes it worse, I think. The fighting looked good, though, and the jazzy Song of Storm and Fire was nice. I didn't think Ashura looked too feminine most of the time (maybe a bit in the beginning). I liked his/her voice - does anyone know who that was?

Mm, I agree. Though I don't think they're that creepy in RG Veda - the situation is sort of creepy, but they just...aren't creepy people. If that made any sense. How long did they spend staring at each other at the end, anyway? I found it rather amusing.

I agree with the others that Kuro's attacks were cool. ^_^Â I noticed the animation looked a little odd sometimes though. It was mostly the beginning of the episode though. But I liked this episode though. :keke:

Ashura sounded like Ogata Megumi (played Haruka in Sailor Moon and Yukito in CCS etc) although if it was then why didn't they use her for Yukito?
Voices can sound very alike though, so it probably wasn't her (although she would have been the perfect choice-she's played men, women, androgynos people...perfect for Ashura).

There's also a picture of Ashura with boobs in the manga. It's a splash page or something (it was in color that's for sure) with Ashura with breasts lying down and Yasha kinda hovering over him. I can't narrow down the volume for everyone though since I've already deleted that series from my computer but I *think* it was around volumes 6 or 7 (I could be way off though since I read all the volumes in two days).
CLAMP was just messing around though, his actual design is boob-less and gender-less.

In the RG Veda manga, you mean? Strange, I've never seen anything like that. Hm. I suppose not all of the color pages can be found online, so I'll have to wait to see the later volumes (I can find only text-only translations). I've seen a picture of Yasha and Ashura that fits that description, but without the breasts. Huh.
If Ogata Megumi were in Tsubasa, that would be awesome. I love Ogata Megumi. Ashura's voice does sound kind of like her, but it's probably someone else. Too much hope for, I think.

The beinning was kinda weird, when Sakura collapses I would have expected Syaoran to have caught her. But he just kinda watches he collapse. ^^; then he's like 'Oh priness!' LOL it was kinda funny in a way XD
The rest was ok, though I wish they wouldn't rush everything so much. They lack really cute and essential details from the manga, facial expressions, events... its so damn annoying
Facial expressions especially. Please give Syaoran blush lines like in the manga... thats one thing they never do!

just watched the raw, the Kuro VS Syao battle was awesome, special effects have greatly improved since Kuro's last swordfight back in ep 24.
overall i'm impressed with this world (i don't read the manga so i don't know what they cut out) i hope bee train can maintain this level of quality and that they for godsake quit with the fillers!!!!

episode 37 is going to be a filler. its called "Scribble Mokona" (its a literal tansltion. its clled "Oekaki mokona" its clearly a mokona centric episode. what on earth can they make a 24min ep about a white manjuu bun??? O_o;;;

Now that you mention it, the Moon Castle does look kind of like Cephiro's floating mountain. It's a lot smaller than the mountain, though. ...Unless there's some other flying structure in Magic Knight Rayearth with that appearence and I'm forgetting about it.

well ep 38 is caled "The Dangerous Road" that doesnt sound like either.something tells me that bee train is really dragging this season out. i dont think they wanna animate the current manga arc ^^;; theyll most liekly end the season with the lecourt arc or worse, a stupid filler :shifty:

Well, if there's 26 episodes per season, that either means they're going to put in a LOT of fillers or that they will spend a lot of time on Lecourt. Because even if episode 38 is a filler or whatever, we still have episodes 39-52 and they can't exactly make that all fillers. I don't see them doing it as all Lecourt either, because they have the habit of cutting arcs down very short. Unless they cut everything else down in order to make room for Lecourt...

Well, if there's 26 episodes per season, that either means they're going to put in a LOT of fillers or that they will spend a lot of time on Lecourt. Because even if episode 38 is a filler or whatever, we still have episodes 39-52 and they can't exactly make that all fillers. I don't see them doing it as all Lecourt either, because they have the habit of cutting arcs down very short. Unless they cut everything else down in order to make room for Lecourt...

They do look alike, you're right. Not exactly the same (the one from MKR looks more crystalline to me), but pretty darn close.
I hope they put in the Country of Idols. If they try to add the current country...that's gonna be crazy.

it wouldn't be the first time that the crossovers aren't exactly the same....the Rayearth from MKR and TRC were also different and Primera was totally different from the MKR version ....so i think it's the same floating rock, just altered in looks
but what's the Idol World....a world with singers in it?

When Fay and Kurogane first made their appearance in Shura they looked hot. I also liked the fitting bg music playing. It really fit the scene. I also can't wait for the bunny world! lol Yay~

Okay, the preview for episode 36 is finally up. It's just clean rounding up of the Shura/Shurano/Shara/Sharano arc.
Talk about the feather, the deal with Ashura and Yasha... The castle on the moon... And then the trip back in time.
The animation looked pretty good.
Now I just have to find the raw for episode 35, and my weekend will be complete!

what i don't really like is that the clothes that the Ashura clan wears, they are suppose to have 'Fire' marking on their clothes like in the manga (also like what Karen dayu wore in the previos episode), and I love them :inlove:!! since that's really "Ashura" with the fire stuff ^0^. is Bee-Train to lazy to draw it ?? :tongue:
