All the sudden the layout of CW.net chaged and I jumped up. When I saw the orange, I thought something had gone wrong with CW.net but then I realized it was new layout. It's cute ^_^ I love the Mokona~

Anyway, it was ani (http://www.capturedwings.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=78) who I chose for the theme challenge. Congratulations!
She named this theme "Sunset Romance". :keke:
This new theme has 2 versions. The forum's default theme (the one guests will see) is the "lite" version. This version is designed for those using a low screen resolution (800 x 600).
The original "Sunset Romance" theme can ONLY be used by registered members of the forum. It is designed for users of 1024 x 768 resolution or higher.
To change your current theme:
Go to your Profile (http://www.capturedwings.net/forums/index.php?action=profile) page.
Head on to "Look and Layout Preferences" then click on the "Change" link in the Current Theme line.
You will be presented with a list of available themes on the next page. The latest themes are last on the list.

I hope this will stay. Even the colours are bright they are not too shiny. Really great!

Its beautiful! It was a suprise to refresh the page and suddenly see all this orange and the Sakura and Syaoran at the top after so much pink for so long, but I like it! Great job.

The only problem is that the bright colors bother my eyes, so I had to switch out to our previous one

It's.. I like the buttons and the Mokona icons.
The colours just look wrong.. The banner is good, no complaints for that.
Just the colours.. reminds me of cheese. They don't fit the banner at all I don't think either.
I don't like the text "reply with quote" that really annoys me, I liked the simple "quote".
But I am to use the 1024 theme because it's the only one with decent width.
I also like the white stars.

Kawaii! I was pleasantly surprised when I went here! It mysteriously changed over night... hee hee yellow, I'm going starry-eyed already! Hehe, the mokonas are cute! I don't mind the yellow, it reminded me of bananas :D but the banana colours are cool! The banner is very lovely indeed! Although I have to really look at the text because it's small... ah, well. Good job!

I appreciate all your comments guys, both positive and negative. well, this is what happens when I rush things... *sigh*
anyway, i changed things up a bit. I understand that not everyone will like it. Come to think of it. This is my first time ever to have a yellow coloured layout for a site. Not exactly one of my favourite colours.. >_<
I didn't have the chance to thoroughly discuss the finalized theme to ani, really. So when I get the chance to talk to her again she might want to make some changes to improve it. (surely! sorry for screwing things up, ani!)
I'm deeply sorry if it did hurt your eyes or anything... Â :cry:
um.. there are brown spots now in the theme. Â :sweatdrop:
But if you really don't like yellow, you're welcome to use the older themes.
(I'm staying with this one though coz I easily get tired of seeing the same layouts.. :heh: )
About the links (Modify, Remove, etc.) which used to be buttons in the previous themes, I'll ask ani about it. I just thought we'd use text links for a change.

about the calendar banner contests.. oh yes, we'll have one for this month. I can't believe we didn't have for April 2006 - our first banner-less month. :(

it's probably because you did all this on a CRT... LCDs tend to have brighter colors >_>

I just want to add...though I didn't like the new theme that much, I don't want to take away the hard work and effort that went into doing it. I know it wasn't esay to put together and whatever theme each of you choose, I think a round of applause should go up...because in many forums, there IS no choices in themes like here. Thank You.

it changed while i was browsing. i thought i did something by accident. i hit "post reply" and it went from pink to orange O_O;;
i love the mokonas, i just dont like the brightness too much. the links are a tad too hard to see.

I only have a laptop so I did all the CSS editing of the color values there. My LCD screen is really bright but the theme looked just fine to me. Seriously, I'm not going to release the theme if it made my eyes bleed. But I admit, I haven't tested it yet on my desktop. I never do web stuff there because it has no internet connection. :sweatdrop:
I just want to add...though I didn't like the new theme that much, I don't want to take away the hard work and effort that went into doing it. Thank you. Yes, thank God we have that feature here. Although the opinions of the members regarding the new theme are a bit 50/50 (based on the replies here), the majority still use the default/new theme. Or maybe they just don't know how to change back to the old themes... -_-

I've changed my mind, ani. There's no need to make a major reconstruction. We might make minor changes but that's it. I saw the lite version of the theme while I was still logged out and it looks great. :okay:
I've updated the hi-resolution version's banner using the one ani sent me. It was updated to lessen the brightness of the cyan colors at its left side. The low-res banner didn't have that brightness because it was brown there. Other than that, I think the new theme looks great already. But yes, if there are suggestions from people who still want to use this theme then we're open for that. Just don't make us change everything. Some mentioned that the links are hard to read. It would be good if they point out to us exactly where those links are.

cute layout, i like this one better than the last one though the orange color is reminding me of summer which is not bad and all but...it's just too hot outside. i'm babling again...-_-' anyway, hope the next layout will be more cuter. Hopefully it will be tsubasa too!

Did you mean the "Total time logged in" line? I just added the line now on the new theme. You can see it at your Fan Info part at the top. :wink:

On the left side, there's a set of options under 'Modify Profile'...
Click 'Look and Layout Preference'...
On the top it will say 'Current Theme (change)'...
Click 'change' to see the theme options and set which one you prefer.

and no need to credit me.. that's the whole point of the the theme challenge anyway. i do the layout-ing while the rest of the ideas really come from the "chosen one".

I see other people having bold text in their sig. It's working on mine too. :wink:
