  hi... do you think it's a good idea to have a fanart cotest? y'see there are lots of members here that has a lot of talents in sketching... and others don't admit it
  So, then.. do you think it's a good idea?

I think it would be cool to see all the artwork on based on the same theme. maybe like moments between sakura and syaoran, or maybe try and come up with a funny situation they could be in.
Like a avatar and calander header contest but with pencils! XD
and the prize can be ... a Billion Cookies!!

Over at ComicBloc Forum, they have a fanart contest each month. A theme is picked out and the contest is open to everyone. One week prior to the end of the month, the contest ends and then the voting begins for the entries. Winner gets the honor of being the best (of course here, we can give out cookies and who knows...maybe an actual prize!) and gets to choose the theme for the following month. Same person cannot win in consecutive months.

so the winner can't enter the next month?
And would there be a size restriction too, Since some people might send Huuuuge pictures in.

Ya I agree with Arcademan and vexnet. It would kind of suck the winner not able to enter every month, but also they should let other people have a chance to win. And Vexnet is right the should be a size restriction. I love this idea on having a fanart contest. I would like to enter, but my pictures are really bad. I can never get the heads right. Circle head. :lol: Maybe the contest can go some thing like this
1st day of the month: What the theme is
5th day before the month ends: No more entries can be enter
3nd day before the month ends: Voting!!!
last day: Winner!!
:lol: Maybe some thing like that. Just like the icon contest. But their is a new theme every month. So people can have time to make their fanart. This is just a suggestion.

We are discussing this idea however the only way I'll support this is people use their God-given talents of actually drawing a picture...no taking existing pics and sprucing them up or using photoshop or any of that kind of crap.

I agree with that. I can't wait. I would like to enter my drawings. even though they are not good as every one else. It would be fun ^_^

This could be very interesting and very fun if everone is willing to go along with it! Sadly I wouldn't participate since I can't draw to save my life, but I'll be more than happy to support it by voting, and making a special album in my photobucket for all the participants. ^_^ It would contain one for the entries and on for the winners.
