I just finished watching Episode 27 also known as the season 2 premiere and let me say that if this is an example of what season 2 we're all going to be in for a treat! Almost every problem that existed in the first season has been fixed. The pace of this episode is super fast. I was amazed at how much they fit into one episode! We get Syaoran's vision with the other Syaoran, a conversation with Yuko, Tomoyo's introduct7on, a whole space race from start to finish as well as character moments in between!
The animation appears to have been upgraded with Syaoran in particular looking the best he's looked in the series. Sakura looks great though very different from the last season. Kurogane has been perfected and Faye is Faye. Mokona, who suffered from some terrible renderings last season looks great here as does Yuko who looks like her manga counterpart.
As the volumes of the English manga featuring Piffle havn't been released yet I can't really compare story points but I can say that the story here simply worked very well.
The music style from the first season has been kept (thank God as that rocked) and several new tracks have been included which means we'll be getting a few more soundtracks released in the future. Woo Hoo!
Now what about the opening and closing credits? Both a HUGE improvement over the first seasons! While I liked Blaze, I found several aspects of it like Sakura biting and apple and waving to be terribly cliche and annoying. The same with Loop which while the song was amazing the visual just seemed like a combination of all the ending credits from Bee Trains other series (most notably the .hack ones). IT'S (the new opening) is fresh and fastly paced and shows us an interesting concept of the gang fighting themselves. Well their shadows anyway. There's lots off cool fashion shots and... I find this really shows us what the show is about. It's spirit anyway.
The new ending, Kazemachi Jet is also an improvement and shows us an inspired look into the past off all the characters! I was amazed at the quality of animation in the Sakura and Syaoran shots and then they show us chibi flashbacks of Kurogane and Faye! What a bonus! I thought it was a bit strange that Mokona's flashback had him sitting next to a cat on Yuko's lap instead of Larg (the black Mokona). Especially since Larg was shown in Episode 2. Still, it looked amazing!
This whole episode just felt so... fresh.
Let's hope the rest of the season (and the third season!) lives up to this one!

I don't think there is a raw yet. I saw it on tv. :D
They normally come out around 6-12 hours after it airs though.
As for the Mokonas, yeah the white one is called Soel and the black on, Larg. But people call them Mokona as a kind of second name.

Oh, wow. Yes. Mm XD
The opening - fantastic. I liked this one a bit better than the 1st, mainly because it was less.. lame? (The Sakura biting into an apple thing made me cringe everytime I watched it n-n;) And I loved the whole fighting themselves idea (its really fitting, especially with Fai)
and oh! The first thing I saw when I pressed play was Kuuroo&Faai ^__^ Heeh. That was nice ;D
It seemed like alot of stuff was being introduced quicker - I thought the Syaoran-Syaoran2 first meeting didnt happen til later on for example..?
And Fai getting really freaked at what Kuro said (I dont know what that was yet though, something about Ashura, ye? XD) was interesting..
I loved the group in that car scene, but the Kurogane/Tomoyo-ness disturbed me because.. Well, I dont like KuroTomo. ^^;
And who was the guy that uh.. *tries to remember her name* the woman with FWR was talking to? I cant remember them in the manga.. (but Ive only read the Piffle arc once so maybe thats just my memory).
Fai seemed a bit less happy in this one.. more emo!Fai showing.. which was sorta a shame..
Ending credits were amazing. I seriously screamed when I first saw them. Chibi Fai!!! Eeee!! And Kuro! Okay, we've already seen him, but they did an awesome job anyway XDDD.. And Syaoran! Eee!!

Hmmm... Nice episode. Though everything seemed a bit too fastpaced at the beginning...
I loved it when Sakura 'crashed'! That was adorable! ^^
The characters all look a lot better. I agree. Except for Fai... He seems to have lost some of his... Fai charm... Though they caught his emo moment perfectly. And his sunglasses really make me smile! ^_^
Kuro-chan seems even more grumpy than usual, which is good. Cause Kuro-chan truly is grumpy.
Now, about the opening and ending...
The opening was nice. Though a bit too much battling for my taste. The song itself was okay too, I guess.
The ending was really good! Chibi Kurogane just made me melt away! It was so adorable, and fits with the actual past we saw around chapter 100. But what about chibi Fai then? What was that cute little pink creature we see with him? *ponder ponder*
The rest of the new tracks (the few that we've heard now) are pretty nice too. ^^
They got rid of the bottles that Fai and Kurogane were drinking from during their talk... Even though the bottles could just have well have been soda, I think this means they'll be getting rid of ALL drinking scenes. ~_~

The episode was nice...and the characters look better as in the first season...I love Fyes and Kuros outfit ^^
But I was some irritated of Celes.. in the Ending especially... O.o Show content

Fye-chan do know anything like this? \[raw]_Tsubasa_Chronicle_2nd_Series_-_01_[LQ][640x480_DivX6].avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box. I tryed to import in Windows movie maker, to see If I coud have the full epsiode and sounds like to me it would let but, do I have uninstalle Bitetorrent then reinstalle it, then options dialog box? maybe if know could you help me! thanks

I found out the reasons why it keeps on saying "connecting"! The problem lies with the bittorrent file. I guess it was faulty or something.

So I've seen the sub now... Tomoyo is all wonderfully and beautifully gay, with her million and a half female bodyguards and her joy over Sakura's beauty. ^^ <3 I'm not sure how I feel about her new voice, but I think I might be slowly falling in love with it.
And they included the conversation in Piffle where Kuro reminds Fai that they've not run into Ashura and Fai says he would know if it were -his- Ashura or another just sharing the name. This doesn't seem nearly as meaningful without Shurano coming right before. Sigh. But at least they put the scene in.

Haha I just watched it. I love that S+S scene ^^ So cute!!! But you know, when Tomoyo was introducing herself and rambling on about video taping or something, then she grabbed Sakura's arm , did you hear Sakura go, hooeee? like in Cardcaptor Sakura? It sounded sort of... different, but I guess I'm used to different things from the original anime when it comes to Tsubasa. Anyway, I had to point that out. I'm glad I can sort of understand what's going on! I hope I can to watched the subtitled version soon so I can see if I've been close with my own translations.

Meh, stupid me totally missed the OP and ED links, but I finally saw them and I have to say, the OP is pretty cool. Lotsa nice fighting going on, though the random Sakura kinda threw me off.
-blush- As for the ED, it took me a minute to realize that little Fai wasn't Sakura. I dunno, they have the same hair...sorta...I think I'm losing it, waiting for this to finish downloading. The songs are okay, though, so I have no complaints for the new OP and ED.

Yosh, my constructed criticism on the episode;
Opening Song: I liked song better than Blaze, but it seemed awkward how they go from a fighting scene to Sakura in a ball gown. It was very weird for me. And all the time I was wondering why she even in there if her only appearence was to look beautiful. Possibly there for an eyecatch I'm guessing.
Episode: I really liked this episode. Quite possibly my absolute favorite episode so far. I loved how Sakura seemed so much like my beloved CCS Sakura, and the same goes for Syaoran and Tomoyo. It was like my beloved CCS was back again.
And when Sakura said, "hoeee" I positively squealed! And Tomoyo saying, "Kawaii desu wa!" I absolutely loved it!
Ending Song: I truly liked this one better than the opening song; it was so sad, and yet so beautiful at the same time. I also liked how they showed their past selves.
All in all, it was a great opening episode. I'm looking forward to next week!

heres a tip for thos with dial up: put a limit on the uploading (a tad less than the aerage should work). do that and your download will increase. jsut remember to remove the limit when your done.
just watche the ep and it was so cool. (did anyone else have poor vid quality on the sub? mine kept digitizing and making it hard to read fai's face and the subs.)
as for the ending: it seems to me that what Celes is composed of is a bunch of floating casltes or something, over an ocean and baran land

Opening: I don't know if i like Blaze more than IT'S, but right now it's: IT'S.. I love the english parts of the song. Kinya-kuuun~~
Endning: Maaya-sama sings pretty as always~ I like this one more than Loop X3. Fai-chan and Kuro-chan~ Kawaii~<3, what's with the orange neko?! O.o
Episode: Kyaaaaaah! Syaoran-kun kakkoii~<333.. And Sakura said "Hoee!" I love Kuro and Fai's talk x3.. Fai~.. Syaoran held Sakura's hand *3*. I loved that moment, and Mokona said "Lovely dovey dovey" XD. Maaya Sakamoto-sama did the voice for Tomoyo-chan! Kirei~. I can't wait for the next episode ^^

I really love the opening and ending sequences. Little Fai!!! And the opening song...did anyone else notice the Fai leaning on Kuro right at the beginning? (c.a.n.o.n.)
The animation was brilliant and the music intense and awesome as ever. Having read the manga, they certainly sped up this particular arc quite a bit, but I think that might have been a good decision.
Love the Tomoyo giddiness and floating in the imposed background with the camera. Excellent CCS tribute. Lots of the art in this episode was much more blatantly CLAMP inspired, partially because of how many wings and bears there were, making it more obvious.
Overall: Episode 27 = <3

I am surprise to see the Clamp school trio in the race. The manga didn't give emphasis on them in that scene. ( that scene really make my day!).
opening song - i like it, although its not the best among spring season. I like Kinya songs since Gravitation, may be that add some points on him. compare it with opening of S1, movie and S2. I still prefer the movie opening theme.
closing song- Its Maaya's trademark song. her song used to be like that. However, i still prefer the s1 closing.
The orange cat in ending song reminds me the cat in Angelic Layer manga inner cover.

How many episodes do you think Pfiffle country will have? I'm guessing three or four. They seem to be getting ready for the big race already in episode 2. Probably end it when the gang is at the starting line. Which means episode 3 will be the race... And it'll depend on how long the race will be, since there is a pretty big explanation and party scene afterwards.

I just watched it on youtube and kyaaaa~! I loved it sooo much!
Syaoran was sooo cool in this episode XD He made so many funny faces, lol. I especially loved the one after he touched Sakura's hand. That was such a cute scene!
and Sakura said hoeee...I loved that!
One thing that bugged me was how Syaoran crash landed... so what is he gonna use now? Gotta buy a new machine? and he came out with barely some scratches.... but then again, it's anime world :heh:

OP: I loved it! It had AWESOME fighting scenes, though (like I said before) the random princess Sakura threw me off a bit, with all the really cool swordfighting and kicking action going on around her. I liked the shadow idea, though. No idea where it came from, but its cool!
Episode: ...^ ^;; ah, if you guys could see me now. I'm squealing so hard that I'm going to have to seem monotonous on here or you all will freak out! It was a great opening episode. It gave details, it gave one of the sweetest moments between S/S and a promise. I mean, I immediately (stupidly) thought for a moment they'd reach over and do a pinky promise, just like CCS Sakura and Syaoran. And I can so get used to Maaya Sakamoto-san as Tomoyo. It seemed to fit perfectly, like that's how CCS Tomoyo would sound grown up. I like it.
ED: Sadly, I don't like the ending scenes as much as the first season. I like the song, but the scenes kinda throw me off, specially Fai-chan. I DO like seeing Syaoran standing next to his little kid self, and then kneeling and looking like he'd like to touch his head. I think that's sweet and insightful. The song, however, is nothing less than expected of Sakamoto-san.
Overall, they couldn't have started the new season better.

Opening: I really liked this one. The fighting scenes were just really nice.
Ending: hmm... the animation was good. But I think that it'll take me some time to get used to the song itself.
Episode: OMG Sakura did indeed say "hoee" and Tomoyo was indeed all giddy and stuff. I squealed in delight everytime. And still am. And the Sakura x Syaoran moment was priceless! [/fangirl]

Anywho, I love how it seems like Sakura's getting to be more intuitive about things and even asked Yuko about the price she had to pay and then yuuko saying that she didn't need to know about it. lol that was great!

I love this new opening, it's so lively and upbeat. The ending...okay. The song is good but light purple is so not Fai's colour. ><

I really think that part was a big deal because it was the first time Syaoran actually blushed in an episode! I was so thrilled! Hanyaan :inlove: I think I'm going to like Season Two way better than Season One! More fast-played and it had the same kind of humor that CCS had! I really missed Tomoyo-chan! She really is a refreshing change to the dark and moody episodes.
I have nothing wrong with moodiness, I thrive on it, but for it to be like that in every episode is tiring, and depressing. About time Tsubasa contained some humor.

OP: I LOVED THIS SONG Kotani Kinya-sama was actually kinda tolerable in this ^^. The shadow thing was a great idea, but I think it was more appropriate for Syaoran than anybody else...NEE?! XD And the random Sakura thing was um...well I really liked it ^^ it added prettiness to the fighting around her XD that's how I look at it anyway...^^;;;
EP: i.cannot.believe.that.they.skipped.two(er three).entire.worlds. I was like NANDESTE?!! when i saw it ^^ but then I remember that Tomoyo-sama was in this world, so I went all floaty and decided to bear with it ^^ (Maaya Sakamoto-sama does Tomoyo's voice, but it didn't even sound like Sakamoto-sama...). I didn't like how they included Charnel and Keefer with the other racers, but it's not like it would jeopardize the entire series ^^ so I gave up. But I didn't like how they decided to scrap the original 'smoke near the end of the finish line' part that CLAMP had and decided to go with the 'engine overheated and blew up' part. It TOTALLY took away from the 'Ohmigod it all depends on Sakura now!" Â :sad5: Sakura needs a little spotlight too y'know! XD And the part where 'Syaoran walks away from the fire mostly unscathed and is stared at by everybody' kinda made me sad...it was WAY too original and made me feel embarrassed...(i have no idea why)...

(next to Kodoku and Loop ^^) I loved how the big Syaoran bent down to the small Syaoran (although it needed to be clearer ^^) and the little Fai and Kurotan were KAWAII (although i hope they confirmed it with CLAMP-sensei first....gr.....-will kill if they didn't-) i wasn't amazed with the Sakura pics in this ED, except for the first one ^^ her wings were kinda weird though o_o

OMG! Â I think I almost died from all the squeeing I did during this episode!
First, the opening animation was excellent (I prefer the song to Blaze too). Â Yes, I noticed the 'Fay leaning on Kurogane' part right at the beginning too ::kurofayfangirl::. Â In fact, I stopped the episode and watched it again...several times! Â I like how Kuro-rin doesn't even look put out by it, in fact, he looks quite cheerful! Â Sakura looks beautiful in her scenes too. Â It contrasted well with the others fighting.
Syaoran was emmensly adorable during the whole episode (his animation was DEFINITELY up SEVERAL notches), especially when Show content
he blushed and made the promise with Sakura and announced to her he had managed to keep it
. Â He is the major reason for me squeeling!
Kurogane was HOT in this episode. Â I don't drool over manga/anime guys (after all, they are just ink on paper/cel art), but his animation was HOT! Â I don't know if it was the clothes (which were cool) or the improved animation (he looks younger than in season 1, more matching with his age) but I heartly approve! Â HOT!

Tomoyo...maybe it's because she acts so much like Tomoyo from CCS, in this episode, that I am expecting her to look and sound more like CCS!Tomoyo, but I wasn't impressed with her. Â Don't get me wrong, I love Maaya Sakamoto but she doesn't sound like Iwao Junko, and Iwao Junko is firmly ingrained in my mind as Tomoyo. Â I wish they had gotten Iwao-sensei to voice Tomoyo. Â She's an excellent singer too, so she could have done ED songs also. Â Her animation is the worst of the lot, also. Â She looks less like Tomoyo than she has in previous appearances and doesn't even match manga!Tsubasa!Tomoyo too well. Â Her personality is spot on, however, and it's good to see her fangirling Sakura again.
Episode: Â I liked the pace, and I understand why they put this arc at the beggining of the season. Â It includes most of the characters we met from last season, so it acts as a bridge to cover the gap. Â The bunny world would have made an incredibly boring season opener so they had to put something else ahead and the Shurano arc has too many serious undertones to be used to open the second season. Â I DO hope they use the rest of the timeline in the correct order though. Â I'm not sure about how some things were transferred from the manga but I'll wait until the arc is over before passing judgement.
Ending: Â OMG! Â CHIBI!FAY and CHIBI!KURO-RIN! Â ::fangirls:: Â ::faints:: Â
::cough:: Â Anyway, loved the animation...very beautifully done. Â I like the song too, but I need to hear a full version before it gets as much (or maybe more) love than Loop.

Opening - I loved the opening, I thought the opening for season one was good, this beats it BY FAR! I really really liked the shadow thing, much more fast paced, and the song, lol I like it!
episode - Ok, they skipped how many worlds? Then they're already in the race! What!??? They just cut oh ( flips scanlations) how many manga? I don't know, they might come back to those worlds, they might not. But as for a fast paced opening it rocked! It was just as fast paced as the season one opening, not to mention have much much better animation.
The closing, I thought it so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute! I actually mistook fai for sakura at first, but then realized, wait they already showed her so it must be fai.... lol then who's that little kid? Kuragone? Eh??? I haven't read that far in the manga so I don't know. lol I only read up to piffle world which is where the series starts. So anything they do beyond here is beyond me, but it looks sooooooooooooooooo goooood!

EDIT: I watched a different episode from the link that Arcademan posted, a different person uploaded it, and it was uploaded in three different parts. Maybe they're different in quality somehow? Anyway, it kind of bugged me that I had to watch the ep. in three parts, especially after I watched the ep, went back, and scrolled down the list and found that other people had posted the episode in one part. But what could I say? At the beginning, it didn't really matter. I was so excited I clicked the first one I could find!

Same color hair, but Hinoto wears her hair completely differently. That's actually Karura-ou from RG Veda, which makes more sense, considering that she is shown with Ryuu-ou from RG Veda.

the mascot is from Angelic Layer. Its the logo of "piffle princess" ( the store i-chan took misaki to buy angelic layer stuff) The mascot first appeared in vol 1 chap. 1 around page 23-24 of angelic layer manga.

I just downloaded the new episode of Tsubasa yesterday and it downloaded in less than ten minutes with Bittorrent, too! I'm so glad that the second season of Tsubasa is being fansubbed after all, so now I can get to watch it until I can buy the DVDs when they're released. The new opening theme song was pretty good but not the best song I've ever heard. I abosuletly loved the new ending theme, though. It was really cute and catchy and I abosuletly loved seeing chibi-Fai and chibi-Kurogane. I thought the episode itself was kind of preditcable unfornatuely, but I loved seeing Tomoyo again and I especially loved seeing her act more like her CCS-self with her squealing over Sakura and all. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode and definetly looking forward to seeing more of Tomoyo! And did anyone else notice that Sakura started calling Mokona "Moko-chan"? So kawaii!

finally able to understand what it was all abt now i got the subbed version (dattebayo said they wont sub it and now they are? im confused! But i loved the fact they changed their minds!!)
watching the 1st ep....it was more light felt and more humour compared to the 1st season (kinda gloomy!) now get to see sakura act more, syaoran be more funny..just seems to be more funny themes- more like the manga so i like it! sakura in this one also seems to develop her "hoe" expression from CCS - or is it just me? it was cute! im so glad TRC is bk!

For some reason I didn't quite like Sakura's voice in this episode. I expected her to be a little more lively than that... @_@
But still! Awesome episode! The animation has definitely improved (in a sense it doesn't look as still as before). And wow... so many CCS moments. It made me really really happy...

the fact that Syaoran might be more on focus than Sakura slightly bothers me. I liked Piffle World because Sakura was really doing her best, other than just smiling and being in the background. So I was a little disappointed. But other than that... :))
The OP is ok for me. I also found it strange that Sakura wasn't doing much except posing and running. Though I think the running had more meaning. The song is ok... it wasn't really that great for me.
Oh... but the ED! I love the ending song! Such a lovely song and the ending scene is so sweet. And wow... for the first time we see young Fye. Though I'm with all of you, those new creatures that appeared in there (the one with Fye and the one with Mokona, that orang cat) are a little curious. Never seen them around before. And the one holding Mokona and the orange cat... that's Tomoyo, right?

In ending song... with regard to Yuko holding white mokona and an orange cat may be related with the inner cover in angelic layer manga ( japanese or chinese version). every volume has a brief discriptions about the cats ( kinda like free talk).   Based from what i understand from their side comments, they do have pet cats. I don't know how many but it seems like more than two. However, their one lined sentence often describes the white cat and orange/ brownish ( tea color?) and the black one..

Agreed. I truly miss my beloved CCS and seeing Tomoyo swoon over Sakura. It is just too funny, and hearing Sakura say, "Hooeeee," again was just so kawaii! I truly missed that, and seeing Syaoran act all blushing again made me go hanyaan! :inlove:

Seconded! I'd really missed her obsessive fangirliness, and sat chuckling during all her screentime. Oh, and I am glad they decided to have her use watakushi, unlike in the CCS anime. It sounds more natural that way, considering her polite way of speaking. However, I think it will take some time for me to get used to the new voice actor - it's not that it is a bad voice, I just don't think it is very Tomoyo-ish...
Overall nice episode, especially the moment of Angsty Fye-ness. I like the intro, though not as much as BLAZE (speaking of that, the second season intro must have the weirdest title I have ever heard. First season's is stupid as well, and many other anime songs, but this is just too much...), but neither the beginning nor the ending of it was very impressive - it sounded its best at the kimi ga-parts. Like many others, I thought the Sakura-randomly-popping-up-looking-pretty seemed a bit out of place, but the shadow-fighting was nice, although perhaps most fitting for Syaoran.
The ending song didn't caught my attention and it has not yet, four listenings later. Am I the first not to think the chibi-Fye - and his pink little pet - cute? I may be wicked, but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that scene was LSD trip that it was not snowy enough.
Anyway, GO Tomoyo-chan! *waves flag*

I'm living in Tokyo right now so I usually get an impression of what I thought of the show online right after it airs and an illustrated guide up within 24 hours. I'm also making it a habit of listing all the crossovers from now on in each episode. I realised that's the thing I look for when visiting Tsubasa sites so decided to do it myself. I'm also doing xxxHolic episode guides as well on my xxxHolic site. ;)
In other news... only 9 hours until the second second season episode!!! :D

Hey, I'm a new fan of the series, so I've only seen the dub. Does anyone have a download link for them?? I would really appreciate it, since I watched the first season dubbed and would like to continue with the voices that I'm accustomed to.

Sorry. Since the series is licensed by Funimation, we cannot link to downloaded subs however somebody can PM you on where you can possibly find them.
Out of curiosity, where did you view the dub? The DVD sets contain the original Japanese language w/subs and the remaining eps of Season 2 will be eventually released within 6 months.

I haven't watched the second season dubbed, just the first. They're all on veoh right now. I didn't realize that we weren't supposed to link them. Sorry about that.
