Hey have any of you seen the new movie on Disney channel called High School Musical? I think overall its a pretty good movie, I like the music the most. Especially the song Breaking Free. What about you? :)

My god that song was so cooool! -has Breaking Free, What I've Been Looking For (reprise) and Start of Something new on her iPod-
But Breaking Free's my favorite.

O somebody I know was watching that the other night. I don't really watch Disney too much anymore. Is it worth watching?

Yeah, I'd say that its worth watching. Some parts were a little slow for me I guess...but overall most of the music is really good and its a pretty "cute" guy likes girl movie :)

Excellent movie! One of my favorites by far! I like how the movie shows what happens when people work together, and be proud of what you can do even if your friends don't approve. If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend you see it now! You won't regret it! As far as the songs, my favorite is also Breaking Free! Excellent!

Its one of the beat movies disney channel has had in a long time. My fav. songs are Get Your Head in the Game and Breaking Free.

Are these those original Disney Channel movies?
Because the last one I saw them advertising here was the one with the ice skater girl who begins to start ice hockey and has to choose between her dream and her friends, or something o_O;;

Yes, High School Musical is an original Disney film. As for the ice skater girl, I think you mean the movie Ice Princess. I'm not sure if it is a Disney film, but I know it's not an original Disney film.

That girl, in Zack and Cody? I don't know why, i cant seem to take her that seriously O_O

yes the girl is be on Suite Life of Zack and Cody. My favorite song is Breaking free.

I am so surpised. I'm in shock... I actually liked that movie. I thought I would hated and I wondered, "what's all the hype about, anyway?" And I watched it and it was kind of cute. I have to admit, I would watch that movie a second time :D

VexNet's Commentary on the Movie
Well going by what moezy told me about it, several things have been wrong.
the most obvious was at the start when the did was to sing only they were being modest, not "really didn't want to do it"
Also the first thing I noticed is that I really hate his mouth. It bugs me.
The mobile phone thing I thought was pretty cute :P
The basketball dance scene was totally off mark from the movie so far, That completly threw me off, not good. It just seemed like a really bad rip-off of the Nike Basketball Advert (I loved that Advert). Plus if they hate singing so much, why does he entire team burst out in song, the general rule in musicals is that everyone is aware of the singing, It's just like an alternate reality to ours.
haha when he was running around to get to the audition, that was good! very funny :P
In the first double audition I felt the guy took control of what was going on and the girl was falling out of character by being more submissive.
In the diner when they are singing, The best part has to be the jock with his baking obsession <3 lol.
after the video thing framing troy I really found her voice so annoying, Another wannabe american singer. Although when she walked down the stairs I did realise how sexy she is.
and when troy's team all went to tell him how sucky they have been, when the guy gave him the baked goods That was so funny XD
but for the montez girl with such a high IQ, she's pretty dumb.
omg that was also the most fake hack using a laptop ever. I mean come on "send code"... geeze.
luckily the build up for the Breaking Free just saved it for :P
I still think the baking guy is the funniest guy in the whole movie.
I especially liked the ending since I love the half time basketball dancers <3
the "ice girl" is TOTALLY out of character at the end tho so that then was a dissapointment.
but definatly the best character is the baking kid <3
overall, 6.5/10 (which is good!)
If anyone wants to see a movie similar to this which is released soon (or out now depending on where you are) It's called Take the Lead. Also another good musical (which is supremely better) called The Producers (2006) which incorporates comedy and music to make a truly funny musical film.

It was a little corny for me but I have to admit that it was worth watching!
The Status Quo Song was hilarious!

My school even COPIED the movie and was the theme for this asembly we did...

We were watching the movie at my friend's party. My personal opinion for the movie at first that it wasn't very good...But after watching a bit more, my opinion changed. The songs for me are a bit annoying only because my friend keeps singing them at school.

my friend bought the movie on dvd...
we tried doing one of the dances that they would show step by step but they kind of went too fast for us and they didn't show the whole dance sequence.
