Title: What kind of music do you like?

What kind of music do you like? I like pop and those that I always can't get out of my head. XD
As there are many genres, I've decided not to add a poll.

I'm always easy to get addicted to any music that's catchy, but the main genres I stick to are rock, punk, and pop-punk.  There's some country-rock I like and some pop music too, but I have to be in a certian mood for those and of course, I like J-pop, too.

My favorite is country music, but I also like listening to Japanese songs, and occasionally angst songs, like Simple Plan and Evanescance. It usually depends on my mood. I also have an entire computer folder full of Anime Music Videos. It's constantly growing. The folder contains mainly S&S songs, with artists like Linking Park, Counting Crows, Paul Carrack. I absolutely love romance songs. Especially romance songs that are fast and have a catchy beat, and sometimes I like slow romance songs, like Could it be any Harder by The Calling. Don't ask me to list all the songs though. I have so many I've lost count.

Hm.. I like up-beat music and stuff thats catchy. Romantic songs are fun to hear to, and I also like japanese-pop. Then I enjoy other things like John Mayer or Coldplay. n_n;

Ehm... songs that are really meaningful, songs that are catchy (and stick in my head)... but most of the time, rock, punk, punk-rock, jpop, jrock

Hmm...I've never thought about what I specifically like, and I always stumble when someone asks me this question.
I'll pretty much listen to anything, but I can barely stand Rap.
At least alot of the rap you'll hear these days. [shiver]
But I definitly love JPop (duh!), Rock, Punk, Metal, and the occasional Pop.
I'm not a fan of North American music anymore. It's too...hmm...corrupted?
There's still a few artists that have my respect, but it's just too ridiculous now.

Namely Traditional Chinese, Qin music, but also J-pop and sometimes Brit-pop (if there's nothing else to listen to). The only things I can't stand is modern Canto-pop (rather think the old classics are far superior than the stuff of today), psuedo-music (music of the synthesisers trying to replace actual instruments, when you got a violin use a violin), new age music, popularised traditional music (like the 12 girls band) and rap music.

Well I don't know exactly what genres my songs are all from

I really don't like country except for the select few songs and rap.  And lots of the annoying today songs on the radio they play too many times a day.

Anything else I think is good  it just depends on the song I guess.

Hmm...this is easy.  I LOVE everything except country.  Simple as that.  :P  Yes I do like rap, rock, r&b, pop, j-rock, j-pop, emo rock, alternative, punk, blues, oldies etc.  So....yeah...XD

Most of the music I listen to are Jpop/Jrock/Anime music. Sometimes I listen to the radio for Western songs, but I'm not into English songs much these days as I prefer Japanese music.

I like everything except urban, country and those few club songs that seem to believe that 3 different sounds make a good song.

Although I have to admit, I prefer the lyrics to J-Pop/Rock songs better than Western ones.

Hmm... I really don't know how to explain...
Sometimes I listen to metal, like Rob Zombie, Metallica and Negative.
I also like cute, "bouncy" j-pop, and music from early 90s, late 80s... And anime music too, of course!
And I mostly don't like anything that is played on the radio. O.o''

I love Country Music, It reminds me of Harumi and how she used to live on a big acre house / farm thing.

hmmm, i like songs sung with nice voices (Koko ni Kite - CCS) or really rythmic songs with a fast pace (Saa- Mamotte Shugogetten)

I really don't like rap and hip hop, it makes me mad.

Rock, punk, punk rock, metal, screamo, emo, pop, jrock, jpop, techno, dance, blues, and jazz are the current ones I really really like. My tastes in music change, except for the fact that I don't like rap and hip hop. I love love songs, especially ones that relate to anime couples. Haha. :sweatdrop:. um, country is okay, too. Classical music makes me sleepy and soothes me.

recently I've been listening to a lot of Japanese Rock and Japanese Background Music and Themes. Its all very Good
Asian Kung-Fu Generation are definatly a good band to look in on people! yes Sasuke you probably already know them (season 2 opening for Naruto)

Asian Kung Fu Generation is awesome! Especially the Naruto song!

Anyway: I only like the music from Yuki Kajiura (for excample she made the Tsubasa sound track) and rock music (japanese, american and german ones)

I was hesitant to put that one up because I wasn't sure if Yuki did it or not because I had a lot of my .Hack// Songs downloaded with no artists on XD But YEAH!! That is really good one too! :D

As for today's music, I just started listening to j-pop/j-rock! >,< And I like a lot of underground and indie artists. My overall favorite genre is rock. ^_^-

fair enough, I like the emotional value of rap more, and Hip Hop has some awesome tunes (look for "Hip Hop Hooray by Naughty By Nature, That's an awesome Hip Hop track! Plus its to do with Basketball too!)

Right now, I have three favorite bands:
The Duskfall, Soilwork and In Flames(at least IF's older songs, the latest albums are... odd)
But I still like Hideaki Matsouka(he did quite a lot of songs for Tokyo Babylon! :inlove:) and Michael Jacksson! :rotfl:

Okay, everything goes but not classical, oldies and christmas themes (when I were work  in the radio there was only christmas themes..aaargggg, I was totally going grazy)...
arf, there is too much of that list XD and some are something word what I have never heard like:

- Grunge
eh...and so on..
Let's say I almost listening now J-pop, J-rock, anime soundtracks, game soundtracks but everything goes....

My music tastes are pretty much alternative rock and J-pop and J-rock. And some Broadway stuff (it all started when I was in seventh grade, when my friend introduced me to Chicago...), like the music from Phantom of the Opera, RENT, Wicked, and others.

I love Intrumental music, when I play people give me odd looks and ask whats the point if theres no lyrics, They don't understand music :P

I also like instrumentals. My favorite is my Castle in the Sky score CD. The music is so soothing to listen to without the words getting in the way.

I did a bit of research into Gorillaz, and nobody here probably knows this but Gorillaz are in a music category known as Trip-Hop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trip_Hop) (aswell as a few other categories but I'm focusing on this one at the moment) and Trip-Hop originated in Bristol, England. My Town! So it kind of figures why I would like this band since some of it's roots are actually from the same city I grew up in! Plus they are a british band too, hence all the Britpop :D

I think in a way, instrumental music expresses itself even better than music with lyrics because it allows the audience more room for imagination and because of the absence of lyrics, audience can have a true appreciation of the music itself.

i am addicted to Jpop, Kpop and anime themes. i love Korean music and Jpop is my first "obsession". anime themes <-- my fave! i dont listen to english songs a lot now. hehe you can call me too obsessed xD
