Story Description:
Three wizards: Clow Reed, Shazam and The White Wizard joined forces to contain a great evil centuries ago. Now, their legacies: Cardcaptor Sakura, Captain Marvel and Arcademan must fight the returning evil as the fate of their worlds hangs in the balance.

This is the latest story I'm writing called "Legacies United". The first chapter is extremely long as will several others and here's why. When I started this story, I was writing it in several forums and groups, the first chapters (as are a few more later on) were split into three: one for Sakura (which appeared first in CCS related forums), Arcademan (in some other forums) and Captain Marvel (first in super-hero forums). They occur at the exact same time, only on their own worlds. Because of the chapter structure here, I had to put them all in one chapter, hence the extra-long chapter. Hopefully it shouldn't take away from the objective of the story.
Later on here as the story progresses, I'll write some bios on the characters since many readers don't know much about the heroes and character from the worlds of Captain Marvel (Earth-S) and my own characters from the Arcademan Universe (Earth AU).
Lastly, though I started writing this over a year ago, I am still writing it (trying to do at least a chapter a month but failing miserably at it). The finished work may stand at anywhere between 25-30 chapters long or more. Thank You.

Shazam!
Solomon...Hercules...Atlas...Zeus...Ach illes...Mercury...these dieties have given a portion of their amazing abilities to a wizard named Shazam thousands of years ago to help humanity and combat evil throughout ancient Egypt and the world. When his time had passed, he gave his powers to a protoge named Teth Adam, who upon calling the wizard's name, became Mighty Adam. However the power corrupted him and Adam set forth to conquer the world instead of helping it. Angered by this, Shazam changed his name to Black Adam and banished him to the farthest known star 5,000 light years away, since he could not take away his powers. Thw wizard then decided whoever gets his powers must be pure of heart.
Fast forward to 1939...New York City. 10 year old Billy Batson, orphaned by the death of his parents and forced to live off the streets followed a mysterious being into an abandoned subway. Coming face-to-face with the aged wizard Shazam, he told Billy that he was pure of heart and to speak his name. Billy shouted out "SHAZAM!". With a bolt of lightning, the 10 year old was transformed into Captain Marvel: The World's Mightiest Mortal. At the same time, a 2 ton granite stone being held above the wizard by a single thread came crashing down, crushing the wizard. Returning as an ethereal spirit, Shazam explained to Captain Marvel his mission and that he could be summoned by lighting the brazier in the subway.
Shazam's throne is located in a place called The Rock of Eternity, a mountain floating between the boundries of space and time, a focal point of all dimensions and in most cases, not accessible to mortals.

The White Wizard
A strong source of mystical power was released when the Big Bang created the known universe. From this 'Powerstar' two beings came forth: The White Wizard, who represented Light...and Lord Pyrogod, who represented Darkness. Billions of years later, when life formed on Earth, this planet became a focal point for all things good and evil.
Knowing the importance of the Earth nexus, The White Wizard fought Darkness on his own for millennia until he decided to create a hero to help with his battles. Eclipse was his first hero during the battle with the entity known as The Darkness however it would be several centuries before the first true hero...ARCADEMAN...would make his debut, along with Parrillusia and several others to help protect the Earth from Darkness as the team Arcade Brigade.
The White Wizard is currently residing in the Realm of Higher Existance, away from mortal contact unless whenever the danger arises for him to walk the mortal plane once again.

Clow Reed
I could do a profile on him but seeing that the vast majority of everyone here knows all about him, I'll only add that in the story, The Despair is the negative card created by Clow Reed who came to the aid of him and the other Clow Cards 500 years ago. She remained sealed until Clow Reed's mansion was torn down. She seeked out and took the now-Sakura Cards from their new master Sakura Kinomoto. She eventually became The Hope and will play a real big part in the story.

The latest chapter has been delayed indefinitely because of the ultra-sensetive word filter here. It caught a few words that weren't offensive in the least and for now I'm reluctant to make the changes. One other word I couldn't even find and it keeps coming up with the same error.
I'll see what I can come up with but I'm cleary not happy with this latest senerio :(

Of course, as you've read by now...the person in the upper left corner of the picture is indeed Yusuke Urimeshi from the manga/anime series YuYu Hakusho. Those not familiar with it, here's a quick summary:
Yusuke is a 15 year old student who pretty much did nothing but cause trouble in school, got into fights with gangs and who didn't really give a darn about anyone or anything until a kid ran into the street after his ball...and Yusuke saved his life...at the cost of his own. Botan, a witch who collects souls to The Spirit World took his there, where he was resurrected into a spirit detective by Koenma (which looks like a baby but is a powerful being himself and son to the King of Spirit World). Trained by the old woman Genkai, he uses his newfound talents to fight demons from overrunning the human world, teaming up with his rival/friend Kuwabara. Kurama and Hiei.
The current adventure takes place before Yusuke Urimeshi discovered his demonic origins and the newfound powers he now possesses but others may know they exist within him albeit in latent form.

After experiencing some technical difficulties, Chapter 18 is now posted.

Though her wounds had healed, she did tell me once in awhile, without warning, she dreams about the way she 'died' in the Arcademan Universe."
Arcademan: In The Cards... (http://www.capturedwings.net/fanfiction/display.php?sid=13) is my other fanfic story in which Tomoyo is referring to. Sakura went to The Arcademan Universe to help save Arcademan when she had a dream about him being killed by an archmage named Destrux and during the first part of the battle, Sakura was seemingly KILLED by him. She recovered in time to save the day but this is the first hint in Legacies United that she had told anyone about her adventure to the Arcademan Universe save for Kero.

Character profiles and plot explanations:
1) Mr. Mind, the World's Wickidest Worm first appeared in a Captain Marvel comic serial adventures during the 40's and he, along with the Monster Society of Evil tried their best to destroy Captain Marvel over a storyline that was spread out over 5 years (almost like mine LOL!) . At the end of the series, Mr. Mind was captured, put on trial and executed and stuffed and mounted in a museum. However in the 70's when Shazam was revived by DC Comics, Mr. Mind reappeared, explaining that he was hiding the entire time. The worm comes from another planet and wears goggles and a radio voice box that allows him to talk.
2) The Invincible Man was created by Mr. Mind to take on Captain Marvel head-to-head. Using the energies of the universe to power his creation, Mr. Invincible was almost as powerful as Cap. Captain Marvel was able to defeat him by trapping Mr. Invincible in a cocoon of Marvelium, a mixure of metals only a Marvel can put together. It blocked the power source and was sealed and Mr. Mind once again was sent to prison. Later, he was freed by a faerie named Maiden Moonbeam but turned against her. She, along with Captain Marvel Junior and Flora stopped the being but Moonbeam perished from injuries during the fight (Arcademan/Captain Marvel 3 Crossover Story I wrote 3 years ago)
4) InuYasha and Kagome are from the manga/anime series InuYasha. He is a half-demon (his father was a dog demon, his mother was human) and resides normally in the Fuedal Era of Japan. Kagome fell into the family well and was transported back into the Fuedal time. She is a reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo, who InuYasha loved until he was seemingly betrayed by her and sealed to a tree for 50 years. They seek the Sacred Jewel (called the Shikon Jewel in the English translation of the anime). How they ended up on Earth-S will be revealed very soon.
5) Since this IS a TRC forum, we should all know about the feathers of Princess Sakura. They are pieces of her lost soul and as shown during the adventures of Syaoran, Fai and Kurogane, they have been known to give those who have contacted the feather great power. The going pattern in the story is The Darkness now has or will have access to three sources of great power: Sakura's feather, the Shikon Jewel and Mr. Invincible. Pity the heroes :tongue:

The joys of time and space travel :sweatdrop:
From the 20th chapter:
Syaoran ran over to check on the Princess Sakura while Sakura Kinomoto did likewise to Syaoran Li.
"He looks like he's asleep but I can't wake him up!" said Sakura, then she looked over and saw the Syaoran from another world. "Kero, look over Syaoran while I talk to that guy please?" Mokona told Syaoran "Sakura's sleeping. I'll keep an eye on her." Syaoran walked to where the 'other' Sakura was and the two stood there staring...like lost friends but at the same time...complete strangers to one another.
Fai looked at the two. "Just as the time space witch told us...we may meet other versions of people we know in these other worlds but the Princess Sakura in this world...the resemblence is uncanny indeed."
As with many stories about many things using the concept of travelling through time, space and different dimensions, each writer has their own take on it, whether it's Doctor Who and The TARDIS, Star Trek using the sun to slingshot around the sun to travel back to save the whales, Flash using a 'Cosmic Treadmill' to run in place and vibrate to another dimension...well, you get the picture.
In the world known as The Arcademan Universe, my theory on time travel is based both on science and magic. The scientific aspect has to do with a TACHYON, a sub-atomic particle which travels faster than the speed of light, thus enabling the user to go back through time. Mystics can control its use for dimensional purposes, since any device that allows time travel needs large amounts of energy. (As an example, Sakura used The Return Card to go back to meet Clow Reed bu required more energy than even she had so she used the power concealed in the shrine).
As far as someone existing back in time, I use the notion that the same person, no matter how close or different they are, cannot co-exist in the same dimension at the same time without major reprocussions. The person with the strongest willpower will be the dominant life form, which is why Princess Sakura and Syaoran Li both fell into a coma when the doppelgangers met each other. Hope that helps clears things up with the space-time continuum :sad5:

The 27th chapter has been re-edited and is now complete. I'll be doing some info follow-up on the characters later.

Technical difficulties (lots of work, health issues, writer's block) has delayed the next chapter. I'll do what I can to get the next chapter up soon.

The 28th chapter now posted, though more of a filler than anything. The final battles are coming very soon. Will The Darkness prevail or will the heroes of three world find a way to defeat The Darkness once and for all?

Well, the old FanFiction Bot screwed up a bit and my latest chapters apparently are not in order.
I may wipe the slate clean and start from scratch since I've noticed a few errors in the earlier chapters.

One of these days, I'll finish this damn story. Only thing I can reveal is that the good guys won but other than that, how they won and any casualties shall remain a secret for now.
