Hey Im new and I dont really know what to talk about so...um...Lets see why do they allmost allways change the characters voices I think some of the new ones sound wierd. what do u think. :)

Well probably the reason is TRC is a different story plot, it isn't like CCS. Also Sakura and Syaoran is much older, plus I think the new voices sounds really cool ^^. Syaoran's seiyuu did the voice of Daisuke from D.N. Angel, so I like it ^_^

I am beginning to fall in love with Syaoran's voice (TRC version) He sounds so guy-ish now....*dreamy sigh* :love4:

I think Syaoran's voice is cool ^^. But in the preview, Sakura sounded a bit weird though....sounds like a new dubber thats not very experienced. Also, they tend to use more "little potatoes" in the japanese dubbing field. Maybe they want to make them famous through TRC??? ( just like Sakura's seiryuu in CCS)

Sakura's seiyuu in TRC is indeed what we can call a beginner in dubbing cos this is her first.
And I think this topic actually belongs in TRC's Anime forum... *moving*

As Airi said, you can't exactly have the same voices for Syaoran and Sakura... Sakura you might have been able to get away with, but Syaoran's in CCS was very much younger. So you would have to change his.

well yep in CCS Syaoran's seiyuu was a woman...but in TRC Syaoran's seiyuu is a guy..well a teenage guy around 16...my age( XD) and he sounds so kewl....i like the guy-ish tone in his voice...but i was expecting a more 'bold' voice actually...but i'm pretty much okay with the current one now.

They also had to mature Sakura's voice. Imagine Sakura Tange's voice voicing Princess Sakura. :)

Sakura's seiyuu change I believe is a right decision. I'm just still not sure about Syaoran's though.. we'll see. :D

I wonder if they will use Iwao Junko as Tomoyo?

yea i prefer Iwao Junko than Saakamato Maaya (not that idun like her ><) but i just think that Iwao Junko is gd enough to voice over an older version of Tomoyo....but for Syaoran i think the change is good..since syaoran in CCS..does sound a bit kiddy and i would die if Sakura Tange does Sakura...it would definately annoy me a little. I can't bear her singing well can't bear just a little...(remember prism) and i always imagined if sakura and syaoran sings a duet in TRC(and i wanted it to be NICe)..and if Sakura Tange is still the seiyuu i might jump off the roof.

well i like alot this new seiyuu , they are pretty , the new seiyuu of Sakura, i think she will do a good job. i heared her in the promo and really like it!! ..better that Sakra tange..aaahh >.< i don't like her voice is so kiddy and loud at the same time , just to think about her like the hime seiyuu , noooo >.<

have you guys seen Mokona's seiyuu..? she is so pretty...i think i've posted pix of Mokona's seiyuu in the forum, hm...in the tsubasa anime section.

yeah i was talkinga bout syaoran in TRC
they usually use female seiyuu's for teenage boys for some reason...eg Ed in Fullmetal Alchemist

naruto in naruto (sound weird :P) has a female seiyuu too, but i think that she sounds like a boy alright....i havent heard fye's seiyuu before....i'm sure i've bumped into the others

ohh btw...i think the change in SYaoran is pretty good...its a very teenage like voice and it suits him kinda well. *cheers*

I'll have to get used to Syaoran voice because I followed D.N.Angel series and when I heard him speak for the first time in TRC I thought its so Daisuke!!!!!

Of course,there are many voice changing in TRC because unlike in CCSakura,the storyline makes clear that like Syaoran and Sakura must be in their age.

I agree. Syaoran's age is around 14-15, so his voice has to be deeper

I didn't mean the seiyuu changes (although I do miss Seki as Touya T.T) I like everyone else ^^ Especially Fai and Kurogane's voices <3 They're very interesting and I can't wait to see more.

when i first got into anime...i was really disturbed when i found out the boys seiyuu's were females...but i'm used to it now, was anyone else surprised?

The guy who does Touya does so many people!
I think it's funny how he does Ogata from Angelic Layer and also Kyo from Fruits Basket.
I really think they did a terrific job with Fai's voice and Yuki sounds great too.
And of course I think Syaoran's is really good, although I don't think anyone could really do Syaoran better than in CCS! Of course, he has to be older in Tsubasa.

i get that with the English voices, but for another series.
remmember Digimon ? i grew up with the little Izzy kid, then i hear the voice as Motoko in Love Hina, and i ..was..SO Disturbed, i just saw this lil geeky kid in this swordswoman girl in Love Hina, and then the Same Voice was the voice of Syaoran in the CCS Movie 2, and i was even more freaked, i totally associate that voice with Izzy and its just not right to hear it there in thier voices...

I expected Fye's voice to be a little more feminine though... (In which yes, Fye's seiyuu is also a guy. For those who watched Onegai Twins, he voiced Maiku) and I found Toua's voice a little too deep... but I know I'll get used to it. Same goes with everyone else...
Yeah, Sakura's new seiyuu sounds a little inexperienced but at least she's trying so I'll give her credit for that. I hope by the end of this series, her voice acting would've improved.
As for Syaoran, I found it a little hard to take in. I still miss Kumai Motoko! But I know I'll get used to it... I almost melted when I heard him at the end of the first episode "Onegai desu! Sakura wo tasukete kudasai!" :inlove:
Kurogane... Can't say much. He only stood out more when he was laughing on that roof... and that makes a very freaky first impression in seiyuu terms. @.@

dunno why for some reason..the more i hear of Irino's voice for Syaoran..the more i'm a bit upset with it....i still think that the previous Syaoran seiyuu was so much better.....usually first ones are the better ones....
But I totally love Mokona's seiyuu....she did a great job. :XD:

I think that they needed to change the voices for age purposes. They said that Sakura and Syaroan were older than their CCS counter-parts.

I thought Daisuke's seiyuu was Miyamoto Shunichi? Because I have the mp3s of his ballad album and he has a really nice voice. But I read that Syaoran's seiyuu was someone different and that surprised me. They do sound similar and I think Syaoran's seiyuu does a nice job. I didn't have any complaints on the voice actors - Fay's is really great the way he does the laid-back, drawn-out syllables, and Kurogane's laugh at the beginning was awesome. I didn't like Primera's, though. <_< Even if it was Purin's seiyuu from TMM, it... was just too annoying.
Anyone know if any other voices were kept? Like Sorata and Arashi or Chii (even though Chii had like, one line o_O) Or are they all different? I've only seen a few of CLAMP's anime (usually read the manga) so I couldn't tell. And since I haven't seen CCS the changes don't bother me.

He sings the theme song, and yes he sings SO well!
There is an awesome interview and extras of him on some of the DVDs.
He's extremely kawaii.

Syaoran and Daisuke do have the same seiyuu.
He's Miyu Irino.

I don't know about Sorata or Arashi, but Chii's voice isn't the same.
The seiyuu that does the original Chii is Rie Tanaka. She also does Yomi from Azumanga. Chii on Tsubasa is done by Kaori Nazuka. She does Kisa on Fruits Basket.
As far as I know, characters on Tsubasa all have different voice actors than they had on other shows.

Yeah, the thing about seiyuu is, there are some very experienced ones who can do voices for practically characters of all sorts of personality.
For instance, did you know the voice cast for Hinoto is the same person for Kero-chan, Sailor Mercury, and Nakajima Youko? And voice cast for CCS Syaoran, I remember, is also the same for Sumomo from Chobits (Ugh... I'm scared of that persocon...)...
Yeah, I think Sakura's voice cast is a little rusty in the works, too. Maybe it's what Sakura is supposed to be in the serires, but the thing is, there's no emotion expressed... not yet, anyway, we'll see.
If Junko-san is the voice cast for the TRC Tomoyo, I think she'll do well, too. I know Junko- san is good at voice cast for characters who act reserved, quiet, and sad. If you want, you can check out the Rurouni Kenshin OVA. Junko-san did the voice for Kenshin's first wife-Tomoe... it sounds quite chilly.

For a note, I dont recall Tomoe being Kenshin's wife... I thought it was just a... nevermind. And Sumomo from Chobits is cute!!! XD
Sakura's voice actor sounds slightly strange. But I still like it since it seems to suit her although she should probably work on voice expressions for emotions and the sort. I noticed after watching 15 so now im quite certain its a problem lol ^___^;;;;

Ha, I have a song sung by Seki Tomokazu (who does Touya on CCS)
and Sumomo's Seiyuu (who does Syaoran on CCS) and it's really funny to hear Syaoran's seiyuu sound so girly, especially when singing along with Touya's voice!

I'm new in to the seiyuu arena but I thought that yamazaki in CCS 2 was syaoran in TRC. I know better now though It is just the way he said "hime" when he was acting in the play.
