I dislike ones with lots of blood. Sickening. I dont like ones with lots of kissing either... X_X yes, I'm picky, lol!
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Arcademan on June 26 2005, 02:13 pm
I'm not fond of movies with paper-thin plots...which seems to be about 90% of the movies made these days :D
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Sya0ran on June 26 2005, 02:14 pm
Hm...movies with idiotic plots like scary movie 1, 2, 3...yet somehow I find myself loving movies like these at the same time.  x_X;
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on June 27 2005, 01:08 am
no teh scary movie plots arn't idiotic, those are called Parodies. and i LOVE Parody movies. Scary Movie 1 and 2 wern't as good as the Great Scary Movie 3 :D

and i can't stand some of the older movies like the old british movies where the acting was bland and teh quality of film was terrible.
theres only a few films that i think are actually worth watching at that time, (like laurel and hardy, carry ons and other good comedies)
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Sya0ran on June 27 2005, 01:47 am
Definitely Vexnet and I knew they were parodies...really funny ones at that.  XD  Scary movie 3?  Yep!  But I do like Scary movie 2...y'know with the Exorcist and everything.   :heh:

Older movies are nice though since it gives us an insight on how filming worked back then.  British movies are so cool and yeah, especially Laurel annd Hardy.  lol  The best old movie in my opinion is Casablanca.   :D

Oh yeah, I also dislike movies that are waaay overly mushy.  I'm a hopeless fool when it comes to romantic (comedy and horror!   :okay:) movies but there's a limit to how much lovey-doveyness I can take.  :P
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on June 27 2005, 02:23 am
lol, its the kind of films like Cassablanca its just that it makes me cringe when i hear those voices. they are just so horribly old fashioned. they are good because they forged todays films but its just that old british style. and how they all looked. if it was redon with good quality footage and better voices then maybe XD

I dislike/hate most remade movies..they  lose what made them good back in the day.
and the dislike also goes to the overly cheesy romantic movies (okay and cartoons...say, winx club)and mushy ones and creepy movies..

I don't like war movies, or films that try to modernise Shakespear - they're classics, so don't ruin them with sleazy scenes and violent gestures!
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Shinigami Zero on June 28 2005, 12:26 am
I like movies that know they're being rediculously and utterly over-the-top, such as Kung Fu Hustle and Rikioh.

I don't like movies that fail at what they are aiming for. Most zombie movies, stupid dramas, etc.

Post by: Syaokura on June 28 2005, 04:38 am
Movies I dislike? Lesse... I'm not too fond of horror movies. They're not my thing. =/ With the exception of some. There are also movies with crappy actors, predictable plot, cliche fighting scenes, and what-not. Ick. Oi! And don't get me started on some romantic comedies. Hey, I'm a girl and I don't like most movies from that genre. Must be the cliches... and the cheesiness.

Whenever I see movies starring [insert actor/actress/celebrity that I dislike] , I avoid it like the plague.

i loved the newer Romeo and Juliet movie, that was awesome :D
we watched it in English

there are a lot of movies I don't like. but in general I don't like ones with pointless death, a lot of blood, nudity or a LOT LOT of swearing. I think things like that are desperate fillers for a bad storyline. and just dumb people down. but here are movies that don't have those things that I still can't stand.

Harry Potter 3
any movie with mandy moore as a brunette
almost any "teen" movie. (just because were teenagers doesn't mean we can't tell a bad plot from a good one)
and well I could go on and on. I'm way picky and in kind of a bad mood right now.

well...... i never seen a movie i dislike. I'll get back to you.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 03 2005, 06:46 am
I dislike Horror movies that just show some naked lady and then gets killed, and yeah, the overused 'masked' man plot. For some reason, lately, there hasn't been a really good movie that scared me, like SAW, that was good. I also hate adaptions of foreign movies, like Ringu, the english version didn't scare me, same with the grudge, however, the jap version was a whole different story.

I dont like extermely sappy, fluffy movies, that have no plot whatsoever, the cliche 'get-the-girl' or vice versa type of movies, I like romance movies, just the ones with an intersting plot ><

I hate, and I mean hate the Brady movies! *screams* I swear, there was so much corny crap in those movies, it wasn't even funny. In the sequel there was incest, but that wasn't even the problem though, it was the musical numbers that made me cringe, they have to sing for bloody everything. They go shopping, "sing", eat "sing", I dont know, I just cant stand them, I really can't >.<

I guess that's all I hate, hehehehe *dashes off*

LMAO, yes I do, because I'm picky :P

But, there is alot to hate out there ^^
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 03 2005, 08:20 am
o.O ... maybe i sometimes think i like TOO much...
example: i'm yet to come across a music genre i don't like
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 03 2005, 08:44 am
Oh, music genre is a whole different story though, I love all types of music *come on, japanese music is one of them XD*

I'm just really picky, and I over analyze things, which can be a let down sometimes ^^ That's why when I got to the movies, I spend an hour trying to figure out which movie would be the best, even once I did a pro and con list for the movie Incredibles *the movie rocked though XD*

But some things just make me annoyed XD
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 03 2005, 02:40 pm
the Incredibles was ok. the first half was SO much better :D
much better humour, the rest was kinda rubbish, lol
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 03 2005, 03:06 pm
True, I liked it though, the movie was okay, some jokes were cheesy, but that's expected ^^

(were talking about good movies, even though its movies 'you dislike', hahahaha XD)

Another thing just came up that annoys me, I hate cheesy comedy movies XD
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 03 2005, 03:41 pm
no way !! cheesy comedy movies are the BEST !!
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 03 2005, 03:53 pm
LMAO, you like cheesy comedy movies? *shocked* I can't stand them! All those puns and lame jokes -_-

You must be really open minded to actually like that ^^
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 03 2005, 05:02 pm
lol, yep thats me, open minded XD at least i like to think so.
i LOVE cheesy jokes, they get me everytime XD

WOW!
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Dark_Card on July 04 2005, 08:08 am
wow I can't be that forgiving with movies. I'm a lot like you fisah with movies. I over analyze everything.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Miss Jenni-Maie on July 04 2005, 08:19 am
If I fall asleep during a movie, it means I have no reason to continue watching it, haha.
I did that with Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Booooooring. And with The Hulk. Another lame comic book turned movie. Bah. I hate alot of those.
Except X-Men, Spiderman and Batman (even though I haven't seen the new Batman, I hear it kicks ***), those ones I really like.
But the rest of them? Please, stop ruining classics!
I hate Leonardo DiCaprio, too! Except he was good in the Aviator...I'll give him credit for that.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 04 2005, 08:32 am
Leonardo DiCaprio.. i used to be like you. when i was younger i hated him. now i've grown (or i'd like to think i have) i can really appreciate his acting.

i LOVED the old Batman movie and series with Adam West. he is and will be the best Batman EVER to grace our screens :noteworthy:
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 04 2005, 08:54 am
Leonardo DiCaprio is probably the most, odd actor. Sometimes he can be decent like the Aviator, or be totally sucky like in Romeo and Juliet, even though the movie itself was good ^^

I haven't watch the new batman either, plan too though ^^ OH yeah, Fantastic 4 as well! ^^

Eeeeewww, the F4 movie. >_<

They screwed up Dr. Doom. HOW can you POSSIBLY screw up Dr. Doom? I mean, geez. He's the best villian ever. He's like the bad-guy Batman, except even cooler.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 04 2005, 09:31 am
You already watched it? Is it that bad >.<

I'm gonna see it soon, but if its bad.....*cringe*
Title: Re: moveis you deslike

Haven't watched the movie, but going by the trailers, interviews, and stuff like that...

Yeah, I'm boycotting it.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: fisah on July 04 2005, 09:42 am
Really? I'm gonna watch it anyway, just to see, I'm suddendly very curious.

I'm guessing your a fan of the original work if your going to boycott it :P
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Shinigami Zero on July 04 2005, 09:52 am
Nah, I could care less how they mess up the F4(never really liked them)...but Doom is way too cool to be butchered. :/
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: monkey on July 04 2005, 12:15 pm
the only thing i don't like is the Torch shouting FLAME ON and i think Dr Doom looks pretty cool.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Shinigami Zero on July 04 2005, 07:53 pm
It's more his origin, personality, and overall style I'm worried about.

Unless you weren't actually talking about how he looked. >_>

And it's just tradition for the Human Torch to shout FLAME ON! Corny, yeah, but it wouldn't be right if they didn't have it.
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Arcademan on July 04 2005, 09:38 pm
the only thing i don't like is the Torch shouting FLAME ON and i think Dr Doom looks pretty cool.

Johnny Storm always has shouted 'FLAME ON!' to become The Human Torch. This goes waaaaay back to 1940, when he was created...almost like when Billy Batson yells out 'SHAZAM!' to transform into Captain Marvel :)
Title: Re: moveis you deslike
Post by: Shinigami Zero on July 04 2005, 10:05 pm
Yeah...Captain Marvel was pretty cool. More rigged (imo) than Supes (well, not counting Supes Prime or old-school "Oh look, I solved a crisis in another galaxy and got back to Lois before she blinked" Supes), but still cool. I mean...geez. >_o

Sure, he can't destroy and recreate the entire universe like 100% Full Power (manga) Shin Getter Robo or relight the sun with heat vision or juggle planets, but he was pretty good for a superhero. Mental...physical...he had super stats, yo.

And at the risk of going of on a total tangent, Hourman was pretty awesome as well. It takes balls to have your weakness in your name.

Heh. Hourman is another favorite of mine as is, of course the original Captain Marvel (and not that poser over at Marvel Comics!!!)

S- Solomon [wisdom]
H- Hercules [strength]
A- Atlas [stamina]
Z- Zeus [power]
A- Archilles [courage]
M - Mercury [speed]

Well i guess it all depends on how you look at it. My dad didn't like it and he's really
good at judging movies.
The movie plot isn't the best because it isn't Speilburg's but the special
affects added are really good.
that what he said.
Personally
i didn't really pay attention to the Movie
i had just finished watching Batman
Now that movie is really good.

When you post a message, you may need to CLARIFY your comments before writing them. That way people won't jump to the wrong conclusions.

That is all :)
