There are three opening theme songs from Card Captor Sakura. Which one do you like more?
I really like "Purachina", by Sakamoto Maya. The melody is great, I love the lyrics, and Sakamoto's singing is amazing.
So what do you like? Be sure to include your opinion as to why you like the song.

I'm different I guess.. I like all of the 3 openings they're all equally good but I prefer Tobira wo Akete cos I like pop/dance songs. :lol: Also, the video's really kewl! I like Sakura's poses there. :D

I know that mostly Platinum is my fave 3rd op song of CCSakura but Catch me,catch me is also my fave op song 'cause it's really joyful!!!

if you guys happen to notice....sometimes the third opening theme is Purchina(sp?) or Platinum...so which is the REAL version...i'm totally mixed up and its kind of embarassing to ask for being a fan for such a long time :tongue3:
Anywayz, i voted for the third opening song....i listen to it 24/7 when i was in sixth-grade.haha

I LIKE THE THRID THEME!! i dunno y but i just really like it.. wen i first saw CCS.. or heard anything about it.. and listened to the themes.. i only like the 3rd one..
as for the name... if ne1 can read jap.. that's wat i got.. it's from the offical CLAMP music pack..

There are a few other good songs apart from the third opening theme (but i have to admit the third opening theme is THE BEST, since it was once ranked Oricon No.1 is it?)
Syaoran's solo is pretty good too, but i guess we could talk about this in another section? since there is another CCS music section somewhere in the forum. But its still alright to discuss in here though. :)

Defnitely Purachina. I don't know know, unlike the first 2 songs, this one's almost solemn yet cute (in my opinion anyway) and it seems to fit like an opening for Sakura's new life (as mistress of cards, love life, etc.)

PURACHINA!!! ^^ Its by the far the best CCS song I think ( to my of course) But the other openings were nicely done ^^

My favourite is Purchina, I also like Tobira wo Akate too, but I chose Purchina. All CCS music so awesome, it's so hard to actually have a favourite ^^

Well, I dunno really. It's just the song was happy-ish.. i know it sounds crazy, lol ^^ but, i normally like sad songs, meaning the emotion. But I actually found I loved it! He he!

yeah CCS songs really grow on you...i didn't like catch you catch me at first...i really didn't like it but it's fine now ^_^

I like Sakamoto Maya's Purachina.. :D its very well sung!
My second favorite is Catch You Catch Me.. :) It's very catchy! :D

Catch you catch me totally suited the whole CCS atmosphere...The second opening theme was great too it suited the way that Sakrua gradually grew up under the process of card capturing and lastly, Purachina totally sent the audience the msg that Sakrua grew up completely through the process and began to realize her love towards Syaoran...the openings all have their meanings. Well done for CCS. XD

Yeah, they do have meanings... the opening theme sequences seem to mature as well... the first is all hyper and everthing going everywhere, and the last is as if she is searching. Quietly.

ANZA - "Tobira wo Akate"
Guess I'm in the minority here though all three are great...especially the long versions of them all :inlove:

Tobira wo Akete got my vote <3 Although Catch You, Catch Me is a very fun song....this song made me sing and dance, lol. That's just why it's my favorite X3

Come on, Purachina is definitely the best! It's so different from the rest - it's kind of sweeter, and much more meangingful. The others were just hyper.

I love all them, but I'm a sucker for Maaya Sakamato, so I chose Purchina, I just love it, it's so mellow and wonderful.
the 2nd Op comes in a close second, that one was so cute, and they english lyrics were adorable.

"Purachina" is my favorite out of those three. "Catch You, Catch Me" is good until I heard it so many times that it gets played out. "Tobira Wo Akete" was ok.

Purachina/Platina. Very mellow and sad, also used at the end of episode 70 to add an emotional environment to it.

I have a hard time choosing between
ANZA - "Tobira wo Akate"
Sakamoto Maya - "Purachina"
I like both ALOT, but I think I'm leaning to the one by ANZA, as I know it by heart and have the mp3.

When I first watched CCS, it was dubbed in Malay and for some reason, the first opening 'Catch you catch me' was replaced with 'Tobira wo akete'. So I fell in love with 'Tobira wo akete' more...
But I still love all the openings though... they're all really good. ^^

Hm, It's between Tobira wo Akete and Purachina. I voted for Purachina because I really like the tune and I love the animation that goes with it ^_^ (sorry, it's rare that I see images that show that Yue and Yukito are the same person, and I love images like that). I like Tobira wo Akete because it's very catchy AND was the very first Japanese Cardcaptor Sakura song I ever herd (yes, I grew up watching the lame dub. The reason I hears Tobira wo Akete was because I was looking through the extra features on my english DVD), it was the first one I memorized too!

Catch You, Catch Me and Purachina are my ties... lol after hearing Purachina for so long I firgured it was really a good song, but I guess I just like lively things like Catch You, Catch Me more, and... Purachina has so many votes! XD

Purachina is my favorite, I'm a big fan of Maaya's singing ^^.
*Also the Tsubasa ending LOOP, is sung by her, so it's really cool.

I voted for Purachina! I liked Catch You Catch Me at first, but listening to it 40 times in a row, thanks to my CCS marathon, I can't stand to listen to it anymore. Purachina is so peaceful and soothing and Sakura looks so gentle and calm in this video. It's like she's floating throughout the entire video. Instantly calms me just thinking about it.

i'm definitely all about purachina by sakamoto maaya! i love sakamoto maaya! i have like.. 20 songs sung by her and i still want more.
i also like purachina because well, season 3 was my favorite season!
