When fay do it in the anime it seemed fun ^_^
Kuro-poo as in Black-poo XD
-
technically the honorifics that fai uses rarely mean anything. theyre just pet names or whatever. only "sama" means somehing... when fai uses "kuro-sama" it means that he thinks kurogae is being cool, or he's being serious. everything else
others that have little meaning, are onemotepoeia... wan means woof and wanko means dog, or puppy to be more apt.
so when fai called kuro "kuro-poo" he actually daid "kurp-puu" puu just being a cute sound. (mokona makes it alll the time)

kuro you big idiot *slaps him*
=3 ............don't kill me

MODERATOR NOTICE: This thread has been moved to another location.
- This thread was created in the wrong location, "Anything goes...", and is better suited for the "General TRC Discussions" board.
Just a friendly reminder from a board moderator: before creating a thread, it is recommended that you make sure that no other boards appear to be more appropriate for the topic of the thread. As this thread pertains to Kurogane, a (quite wonderful) character from the Tsubasa Chronicle series, this thread would be far better suited for the Tsubasa Chronicle thread. Rest assured, we will let this slide with just a happy little warning (full of hearts and bunnies and smiling suns and stuff), as you are somewhat new here. As you learn to use the forums more often, you will begin to develop a sense of what threads belong in which categories. It is a naturally learned skill that develops from browsing the forums often enough. Enjoy your stay, and happy posting!

how many diff names did fye called kura-puu anyway?
-
lots:
tan, san, puu, sama, wan, wan-wan, wanko, daddy are the ones he used most. he has yet said kuro's name since te whole punching incedent, and then he used 'sama'
sama's my fav tho, its the most respectufil... like he;s sayting that kurogane is cool, or that he wants to be left alont.
-
i like the wan-wan XD
-
yeah, wan-wan (or woof-woof) is kuro's second least favorite. his #1 least fav is wanko(dog/puppy)

this forum seems quiet ._.
-
In the english dub he calls him kurgy, kurgs, kuro-cutie, kurga-lurga, kuro-mloo and a few others that I can't remember. But I think all of the names Fai gives Kurogane are hilarious. ^_^

And AS a moderator, you should know when one's having fun here and knowing not to engage a member in a thread like this so start acting like one. Don't push your luck with me...two can play this game.
So as to stay on topic:

Yes, the English dub has a lot to be desired in that department. Bad enough they can't get Kurogane's name pronounced right, Fai's English pet names are just plain horrible ::)
-
weird though but when i watch in animax (eng dubbed version) season 1 the voices diff from season 2 dunno why ._.

The English dubs on the DVD set in the United States were done by FUNimation and had cast totally different voice actors than Animax. Though still faithful mostly to the original script, they are a number of places where the dubs add and delete lines (and don't get me started on how they pronounce 'CLOW' like "cow" and not "crow")
-
which is better?

LOL?! COW?!!! Shouldn't they hear how it's pronounced first? ._.
-
no one in dubs really pays attenetion on how to say japanese. i her that only the actreess voicing Yuuko got Kurogane's name the right way the firts time, with the proper inflections.
only a few jap dub's get names the right way. Genoen did a decent job on some, like in Samurai Champloo. AND on alot, they just licensed for subs, lie Loveless.
sometimes i think that TRC would have gone better if it was just licensed for Sub.
-
lol, they should listen to how its pronounce... Funny americans ._.
-
Yes, us Americans fail, don't we.

I was kidding. I totally agree with you, especially after what my American "comrades" did to Card Captor Sakura...
Urusenai... *starts getting homicidal tendencies a la Higurashi* Ne, Rena-chan, can I borrow your machete...?

some dubbing voices are funny and squeaky especially for boy characters who have a high voice....
