Title: Was that Fai?

Assuming that everyone here has watched at least one episode of the second season... and has seen the ending theme with the credits...

Does anyone know who the person floating in the water playing is?

I had a horrible feeling it was Fai in his childhood a while ago, but none of my friends could really confirm it.

Seeing as how the ending credits shows everyone in their childhood, this would follow.

Does anyone here know anything about this? ^^;

It was Fai. Bee Train apparently just took a wild stab at Fai's past and decided that it was probably all rainbows and pink fox things. Which is totally wrong if we go by that glimmer of his past we got in a recent chapter.

I don't know why they'd do that, though. I can think of a zillion things vaguer than Fai floating in rainbows like a stoner.

So they just took a guess and decided he had a happy past. How cliche.

Yeah. You'd think that they'd get some inkling from the manga that Fai didn't exactly have the happiest past. Even before we got those two pages, it's been implied since the beginning.

also...with his "shadw fighting" would there really be THAT MANY floating catles?  youd think only ashura-ou'd have the only castle O_o

He could have had a life like that with Ashura, after he let Fai out of prison, that or someone else did...,
But CLAMP did draw a Ashura and a child Fai looking at a book together, which looks like it could be a magic book.

And the flying castles, all worlds are different, and I'd hardly believe their would be just one floating castle.

I was surprised by that picture too, I have to say. I always thought Fai's world is entirely in an endless, rainbow-colored sky (you know, like the northern lights in scandinavia) and all the buildings and such are upon those floating isles.

It also doesn't seem too cold in the ending as well - remember the lots of green in it?

Yes, the whole Celes-being-warm thing was weird. Seems like a giant leap of faith considering Fai's said that his country is really cold while they were talking about seasons and he wears so many coats. It's not impossible, but it's certainly not the most likely choice.

The whole northern-lights thing is a cool idea, Kjesta!

i wouldnt put itpast that celes wasnt ALWAYS cold. its possible that somehting happened to cause the "unending winter"
