Kamui still looks annoyed with Fuuma, but at least he's being civil with him now. Fuuma sure does pull out his kind smiles for Subaru, doesn't he? He also pulls out all the sad-cute-faces from Subaru.
This Syaoran is definately different than how the clone was, he seems more subdued. Consoling Mokona, the manjuu been through quite a lot huh?
Sakura actually killed something and bled, that's definately something. She didn't look very happy about killing it though. Wonder how she'll get back now that she's wrecked her bike.

Fuuma said "He (Seishirou) really wants to meet you" to Subaru! Its kind of stating the obvious, but, SQUEE!!!
Much Mokona love here. He asks R!Syaoran if his name is also "Syaoran" and Real said yes. Syaoran also goes on to say how he always saw what they were doing, etc. Then Mokona said something along the lines of "You want to go with us,don't you? With Sakura, Kurogane Fai, Mokona,"Syaoran" too, together."

Aww, poor Syaoran. I feel bad for him. I can only imagine how it mus have been for him to be trapped in that thing only left to see visions of people enjoying themselves. I mean, even as much as he might have had fun watching, it really sucks at the same time since he was a prisoner and all he could do was watch other people living their lives. I definitely like Real!Syaoran a lot more than CloneBoy, if they continue the journey without Cloney and take RealSyao in his place, I wouldn't mind... but they're not going to do that because they have, errr, unfinished business with their cloney friend.

Fuuma is so much love, it's cute how he's concerned about Sakura (Kamui's not as optimistic, it seems). He even lent her something that he was hired to find, hopefully she doesn't break it.
It looks like Kamui does care at least a little bit for the people in the Government building, because if he didn't go with Fuuma they'd be at a disadvantage. He's slowly showing his nice side. :keke:
I feel for R!Syaoran as well, that's gotta really suck. This Mokona is so much love, it's so caring. It's interesting to look at how the Black and White Mokona differ, this one is so much more emotional. The Black one seems much more collected, but it is Yuuko's drinking buddy afterall.

You're not the only one, it's been in the back of my head for quite a while now that he wants Subaru to kill him. He wanted to be killed by Subaru in X even though Subaru didn't want to kill him, what's to say that the same isn't true here? If so, Kamui has good reason to keep them apart, it would crush Subaru.

I'm glad Clamp's flashing back to the others, since I really want to see how Syaoran fits into the group now, and I was worried that Clamp would just show us Sakura's journey and not let us see that. But I'm glad they decided to add that bit of Syaoran-talk. I swear, I love real!Syaoran so much more than clone!Syaoran.

I can't help but remember all the happiness C!Syaoran and Sakura had when growing up and then R!Syaoran had to stand/float there while watching this, seperated from his own Sakura. I feel so bad for him.
Fuuma, well, I knew he was my favourite clamp character for a reason, such gorgeous smiles and concern, even when he was DoE Fuuma he had this side to him. aww
And go Sakura, a bit slow in fighting back but she's getting there, we couldn't expect her to get straight into the butt kicking but she is starting to return to us!

If you remember back in Outo, Seishirou didn't seem that old (I thought he seemed younger there than in X and TB). And he can't be that much older than Fuuma since they're siblings; even if their parents had Seishirou when they were young and Fuuma when they were old there can only be a limited gap between them.

Now I'm one of the biggest X fans you'll find and I have to say that I'm worried about the amount of screen time they're getting. I don't mind that they're there but they shouldn't take the focus off our other Fab Four. Hopefully with Fuuma and Kamui off doing what they enjoy best, the focus will shift back to where it belongs.

I agree. I'm sure that those who read X are in fangirl heaven, having gone without for so long, so I am happy to let them enjoy the X-ness, but I would like to move on soon, as I find them boring, not having read X myself. The chapters rely on a context that I don't have.
Well, that's the point of the series, isn't it? Reward fans that have read all CLAMP works, and tempt/shame/goad those who haven't to buy more! I must admit, in the 6 months or so that they've been in Tokyo, I have thought about buying X more than once, and I am buying Tokyo Babylon!
But, I want more TRC-ness. I want Fai to wake up! I am anxious to see how vampirism and alll will affect the cheerful Fai we knew before! I'm not crying from the lack of KuroxFai in recent chappies, I'm still good on that, but Fai has been out cold for 10 chapters now. That's more than 3 months since Fai has spoken, except, "no, let me die." Wake up!

The determined look suits her best, the more I see it, the more beautiful I think she is. I guess it makes even a strange sense - from her CCS self we know she is supposed to be plucky and everyone is more pretty when they can be what they truly are like.
I can vaguely (still, going to try and read Volume 3 of X today) squee for the Fabulous Four. They have gotten a lot of page-time right now but all in all it is still this one volume, it only seems SO long due to the gaps we have to endure. When read in book form, the overall impression, I think, will be a good balanced mix.
The reserved Syaoran is very much to my taste. To be accepted into the company of Sakura and co would mean much to him (until he can somehow get to his Sakura?!).

She looks so cool and she kicks butt without it being unrealistic. Like, there was no 'Sakura-suddenly-knows-how-to-fight'-ness. She's so beautiful in this chapter, I agree.

So not much was revealed in this chapter. Not really. Some nice Fuuma/Subaru/Kamui talking. Some beautiful pics of angsting Syaoran. (D: I feel so bad that I've been blantantly disregarding the fact that he might've been lonely. I don't even know why it never occured to me -stupid-)
Oh, Sakura. -wipes tear away- You haven't made me this proud in forever. Well, in TRC forever. I can't believe how determined she suddenly is! Its a great thing to see her fighting back so hard.

The scene with Fuuma and the twins was neat (I also think Fuuma was teasing about the old thing - like the way Seishirou calls himself an old man in Tobabi when he's only 25), and aww, poor real!Syaoran. It really must have been very lonely for him, watching without ever being knownby any of the people he was seeing.
That said, forget the men. SAKURA. :inlove: She stole this chapter for me. I love that she's fighting, but she's not suddenly incredibly skilled - she gets hurt, and she still shows her sympathy for non-human things. But she kills it and she keeps going. She really is so beautiful this way. I want to make myself a Sakura icon, now...

Those few frames with Mokona on R!Syaoran's shoulder crying really tugged at my heartstrings. Mokona's been can take or leave for me but this exchange was more touching than the Mokona/Fai one in Outo.
Previously . . . R!Syaoran said he used his magic to try and give C!Syaoran a heart of his own once the right eye was reclaimed. With further revelations about R!Syaoran I see a flaw in this theory. The flaw was that the C!Syaoran was a shell R!Syaoran and Fei Wang were using. As such a pawn, with both R!Syaoran living vicariously (and occasionally intervening on a minor scale) and Fei Wang collecting the feathers through him, it isn't that surprising that our C!Syaoran never grew enough to have a heart of his own. At least now both Syaorans are free to exist separately.

This was a nice chapter and the fact that very little was said wasn't bad atll because the textless stuff was Sakura Croft kicking ***!! YAY! I feel like she not only feels guilty for what has been going on/happened, but also she probablly understands that everyone is going through a lot of pain right now so she needs to do her best and make up for it by being strong and fiercly determined. I love seeing this development in her.
It was nice to see the angsty Subaru face again...If not heartbreaking cause its so adorable! >.< I am also a huge X/999 fan, but I agree that we should really move on. I mean, the TRC characters should be put back in the spotlight. i understand that we can't leave yet cause of Sakura's lil' escapde, but we really need to focus more on TRC. I don't remember the other crossover characters getting this much time/development. However, it seems that the "fab four" as you guys have been calling them are a substainal part of the story/ unvierse(s) because of their power and if they don't joing RTC characters ont heir journey, they'll DEFINENTLY pop up again, soo...Let's move on and see them again later...>.<
Finally some R!Syaoran angst! I was wondering when that was going to hit. I'd been thinking about how much that would suck and I wondering if was ever going to admit it. ^.~

Yeah, Syaoran is my favorite in this chappie. Why oh why is he so much better than C!Syaoran? You feel so bad for him when he admits that he did want to travel with them. He's almost like a fanboy! I wonder what *he* thinks of FaixKuro :hehe: But yeah, go Sakura. Actually, I don't care. BRICKED. I don't know why! Forgive me! Maybe I'm just apathetic today, but thru Sakura fighting I was like - meh. I'm glad, maybe I'll care more later that she's getting development and stuff, but it is like going for ice cream when you could be seeing movie you really want to see. On a side note, the way I read the scanlations hinted at Syaoran x Syaoran, imo. Maybe I'm biased.

It's nice that the use of honorifics is the same as before, just need Sei-chan to call Subaru 'kun' and everything will fall into place (from what I recall, Subaru and Kamui never used honorifics with one another in X).
I just noticed that Kamui has not said Fuuma's name once in this series. :XD:

I so wish I had the stuff to take the picture of Sakura on the end page...the one where she has pulled off the compass and there's that beautiful picture of her looking determined...color it and turn it into a banner or icon. That is just so perfect.

Yay another chapter, I liked it, but now I'm really wondering were our Syaoran is, I mean he's been the main character for at least 16 volumes they can't just dump him, where is he!? Anyway fun to see Sakura in action and I liked the scene with Kamui, Fuuma and cute Subaru. Poor real Syaoran though good thing that he has Mokona comforting him :).

I agree, poor R!Syaoran. It makes me feel so sad for him. I mean, first he was stuck on a tube and lonely, watching other people smile, and then when he gets out, you have this awkward tension between said people. I mean, Mokona is the only one who's making an effort on really talking with him. Not to mention, you see R! Syaoran far away and aloof from the group of Kuro, Fai, Subaru, Fuuma, and Kamui. Even with Sakura, there seems to be some awkwardness (That's probably cause of C!Syaoran though). He's maybe hoping to get accepted, just not to be C!Syaoran's replacement, just for him. But for now, he's like keeping his distance.
I think CLAMP has R!Syaoran there to make up for C!Syaoran, since Syaoran is the MC, so he has to be a presence somehow. I wonder when is CLAMP finally gonna show who is he? To put this Syaoran Li = R!Syaoran to rest. Not that it matters, I love both anyway.
That little jip with Kamui, Subaru, and Kamui made me giggle in my tummy, for some reason.
As for Sakura Croft, as someone above said, is "meh" to me. Glad she's doing something, but I'm honestly not that impressed and overexcited of it either, it felt average to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the girl (In truth, I think her kind of like a Mary-Sue, the only flaw I could find is her denseness, that I think just adds to her character and cuteness, and waking up late, and being the most powerful magician at age 10 is the cherry on top. Though Japan has this love of perfection...). Is just that I focused enough on CCS with her, now in TRC I'm looking to focus on other characters that need a chance, especially ones who took a backseat to Sakura, like Syaoran, the many Tomoyos, and the new ones, Fai and Kurogane. Plus Mokona! If R! Syaoran is maybe THE Syaoran Li, then there's no contest on who he will like better between Mokona and Kero.

Sakura is really cool for a damshel is distress kind of type. She is the only female character that I like beside Youko from Junni Kokki and Yuuko from XXXholic.
I like X-world, because of X-world, we get to see how much Kurogane cares about Fai. But I really want Fai to wake up.

Yes, Im a KuroFai shipper, but I'm glad that its not all KuroFai-ness in the manga, why, because Other Characters need spotlight too, and besides, if people keep on messing with CLAMP, CLAMP will mess with us, ohh say, killing a few well liked Characters in the process.....and they are not afraid to do it too.

He kept him from dying, that's why. Watanuki is one of my most favorite characters, much more so than Syaoran. Just personal preference, that's all. ;)
On another note, I liked the way Pikari worded the part about Seishirou. Makes it sound like Fuuma's poking fun at him.

I've been thinking that for a while. He hadn't changed at all since when he first met Syaoran and before when Kamui gave his blood to Fay he made some comment about not wanting Subaru's blood being used anymore.

Well, when Kamui was talking to Fai under the water he said "Then does it belong to that hunter? Since Subaru gave his blood to that guy...", so it's easy to assume he's a vampire as well. If it was just Subaru's blood that was given to him, unlike Fai where it was mixed, it would explain why Kurogane said he had the eye of a murderer. Why else would Kamui think that Syaoran was Seishirou's "E", when they're supposed to be used as food for vampires.
We know that Seishirou was asking about immortality, but we don't know if that's really what he's seeking. Yuuko said that Subaru and Kamui aren't immortal, so maybe Seishirou has his facts wrong? There's still quite a bit we don't know. -_-

much as I do want Fay to finally wake up I don't believe the rumors. there is no info on the Japanese BBS I usually get my spoilers from, which is surprising because if there really are scans of it available somewhere people in Japan technically should have it earlier then the Chinese fans.
my guess is, the spoilers are fake (interestingly, all fake rumors I've ever read concern Fay or KxF, LOL)
