Yes, I love Gravitation! It was so funny when Yuki told Shuichi about how much his lyrics sucked. Suguru is my favorite character! Tohma is my least favorite. (Grinds teeth together..."I.......hattteeeee........Toooooooooohm aaaaaaaaaaa")

Tohma...weird man who loves his brother in law a bit too much! I found this anime/manga by accident...I downloaded a mixed anime amv, was watching it boredly, then suddenly saw a clip of two guys kissing in a lift! Watched the credits, found the guides for all animes mentioned, and finally found that it was Gravitation!
This was my first shonen-ai anime/manga....it's what got me into yaoi!

I have to admit, I got annoyed by K sometimes too. He's was a good, funny character, but there seemed to be less developement of him than the other characters, and sometimes he just came over as obnoxious.

Yup! There's several issues of manga, and I'm they're out in english! Tokyo Pop released them, and they're on sale at Amazon! I don't know how mnay volumes there are though...but there are at least 11.

Not really....most of the shonen-ai section turn out pervy or serious...although FAKE is quite a good one - but it's an OAV.

I just bought the Whole Series of Gravitation online for 14.99!! :lol:
It's a brand new sealed two disk set with all the episodes~Japanese with english subs or
*gag* English dub *gag*.
Of course I'll be watching it in Japanese to hear my beautiful Seki Tomokazu. :inlove:

I got the whole series for about $15.00.
Really nice price, and I'll be able to use footage that doesn't have subtitles!

I got it from half.com.
It's a two disk set~it's a real licensed set, sealed.
It has the whole series. That's only 13 episodes though!
Then there are a couple of ova's but I'm not as interested in those, I just want to see the series.
There's one at half.com right now just search Gravitation and click on DVD 1 and one of those is the full series set.

The two disk set is really awesome and comes in a cool case.
Well worth the money.
I've watched the first episode and see a lot of good footage for my video already.

yup yup yuppers :hehe: anyways the first time i saw gravitation was in a mix amv i saw the two guys kissing and i was like woah and i told my sister and she was like woah and then i was like woahhhhh and then we were both like woahhhhhh lol well we both did say woah though lol ya we were wierd and my sister then said they actually do that in anime then i was like i guess wierd lol but then i check it out and gravitation seems pretty koolio for me :okay:

I've seen the first two episodes now and the anime is a lot more tame than the manga.
The manga is 18+ and it's a lot more graphic and Yuki is not as nice as in the anime. (so far anyway)
I'm liking the anime better than the manga.
The art is a lot better. I like how Shuichi looks in the anime a lot better and Seki does an awesome job with the voice. Also Yuki is done by the seiyuu that does Hatori on Fruits Basket.

I am really excited right now because my Gravitation music video is going REALLY well!!
I should have it done in a couple of days. I want it to be perfect.
My Fruits Basket video was pretty much like practice and my Gravitation video is turning out just how I want it now that I know how to use imovie!!

I just finished watching through the first half of episode six and this series is SO AWESOME!

The part where Yuki's brother (who has a big crush on Ryuichi) is there watching tv with Shuichi and then starts hugging Shuichi telling him he looks like Ryuichi is SO funny. Then Shuichi yells for Yuki to help him and Yuki walks in.
There are so many really wonderful parts to this series.
But, like I said before, the anime in totally different from the manga.
The anime is a lot nicer.

I love that scene! Tatsuha is so cool! But the best episode has gotta be 13 (and maybe part of 12 - not sure when it begins)...Trust me, you'll love the flashbacks of Yuki's past and the finale!

I can't wait. It's hard not to sit down and just watch the whole thing.
I've read all the manga though, so I know the story line and how the manga ends.
The only real difference I see is that Shuichi is cuter in the anime and Yuki is nicer and the whole thing is just a lot sweeter.
Seki's voice as Shuichi is so awesome. I can't imagine what this anime would've been like without him. He's just perfect showing the range of emotions that Shuichi goes through, being the hyper little guy he is!
And Yuki's voice is perfect too. (can't remember the seiyuu's name right now, it's the guy who does Hatori on FB)
And I love Hiro so much! He is just so sweet and adorable to Shuichi!!
The seiyuu in this anime are so perfect and wonderful.
I really think it's the best voiced anime that I have ever seen.

I've been following the manga for a while (though I haven't bought any lately - only up to vol. 6). I like the series.. one of the few great shounen-ai series that are out there. Though the latest books I read are starting to be love-hate... it seems like the plot will go off on some crazy ridiculous rabbit-trail (like the cooking competition show - what was up with that?), and I'll start thinking 'this is really stupid... tell me *why* do I like this series?' But then Murakami-san will throw me a super-cute-and-sexy YukixShuichi fluff moment and I'll melt to goo again and go buy the next volume. x_x; I guess I should get the anime. ^^;;
To yaoi fans: has anyone else seen Murakami's "remix" doujinshi she wrote for her own series? Yumm-ness. :P

Pikari, I know what you mean about the manga.
That's one of the reasons I like the anime better.
They did take out a couple things from the manga, but the characters are so much more likeable.
I don't really care for the art all that much in the manga either. Sometimes the characters look drawn well, and other times they look pretty bad.
Hiro seems so much more *there* in the anime, I'm really beginning to love him.
The way he cares for Shuichi is so sweet.

The part where Shuichi goes to Yuki's house but there is nothing there because Yuki left, is so sad! Shuichi totally has a meltdown, kicking the walls and everything. I was so glad when Tatsuha showed up behind him and took him to Yuki.
And the scene where Shuichi was attacked..oh. I wasn't sure how much of that from the manga they would leave in.

There are at least a couple oav's that have come out since the anime.
The animation style looks a bit different though.
And I'm not sure about if the manga goes farther because I haven't finished watching the series. Give me a day or so. I have the feeling I'm going to sit down and watch the rest of the episodes in one big block.
I love this anime so much.
Oh, and I read at animenewsnetwork that the author just put out the first new chapter of Gravitation since the manga finished.
Not sure what it's about because I haven't seen it yet!

The OAVs were really the whole series squished into a shorter time, but with small changes. Like, I think Yuki had a heart problem, not a stomach ulcer....and other things like that. They weren't original stories.

My favorite character is Ruyichi (ok i don't know how to spell it ^^u) , he is the best :keke:. And i also love Suichi, he is totally cute, always making people to laugh :), and he is always crying eventhough that makes him look like a crybaby :haha: and i think that's what makes him so cute. :inlove:

Yeah, Ryuichi is so funny! And I love how he can switch from being so chibi-like and hyper to ultra serious and intense! And Shuichi....cute, but not a great character in my opinion.
Yuki? Before I watched the series, I thought he'd be this cold, harsh person from what everyone was saying. But when I watched it, he didn't seem that way at all!
By the way, how come so many fics put Ryuichi and Tatsuha together? In the anime, he's nowhere near as obsessed as he's often made out to be. Except for that scene with Ryuichi, then there's no real evidence....(but don't get me wrong, I adore that coupling!)

My favorite character was Tohma in the beginning but he kind of creeps me out. I guess its because of the age cap between him and Yuki and he loves him. It's hard to really pick a favorite character. The only sane one there I think is Fujisaki.

Anyway, yes yes I adore this coupling, too. In fact, although I don't write fanfics, I LOVE to draw fanart of them! XD OK, now to answer the question: I think it's popular because for the Ryuichi fans, Tatsuha is Ryuichi's answer to Shuichi's Yuki, know what I mean? Because Ryu is like Shu and Tatsu is like Yuki... You know?
Also.. *shifty eyes* In the Gravitation remixes number 2 and 6... Tatsuha and Ryuichi.. DO things together... Well, against Ryu's will, but it still happens... The two were also featured on the cover of Gravitation Sound Story III together as a couple! I loved that pic!

I always knew Gravitaion existed but when I read the plot I wasn't really interested, especially after looking at volume 1 of the manga, the style wasn't really that great, but then I discovered youtube.com and I downloaded the entire series a few weeks ago.
Now I am really in love with this anime, it's so majorly cute! And Yuki?! What a sexbomb! :P Shuichi is cute as hell too. And HIRO! My GOD, in that scene where Hiro tells Shu that he should go and confess his feelings and then pulls that straw from his mouth and licks it?! I nearly fainted. BISHIES EVERYWHERE!
I loved K! "Big news!" Hahaha, that cracked me up, as did, "That's like an Englishman with no English!" Yeah, has to be one of the funnist anime out there. <3
I saw the novel too in my manga store, it looked pretty good when I picked it up but as I hadn't watched or read the anime I thought I'd best leave it. Now, when I actually want it, it's GONE! >.<

You can download scanlations of some of Gravitation 2 at aarinfantasy.com (http://aarinfantasy.com) or at akutenshi.com. (http://akutenshi.com.) You have to register to download at aarinfantasy.com, but not at akutenshi.com. (But registering at aarinfantasy is so worth it, since they have *SO* much other stuff.) I don't know how much Gravitation there is (*too lazy to google and fiind out*) but those sites have at least three chapters of it. Pretty probably knows a lot more than me about it. ^_^

Yeah, there are 12 volumes of Gravitation 1, and they've all been translated by TokyoPop. I don't know how much of Gravitation 2 there is. 'Remix' usually means an alternate universe story, so that's what I'm assuming Remix is. I've not read either, so I'm not sure.

The Remixes are a bunch of doujinshi-type NC-17 stories drawn by Maki Murakami. Very random, and very yaoi. ^^;;
