I remember I used to be big fan of Pita Ten several months back and I was dying to get my hands on all the anime and manga, but when I actually started reading and watching it, I really didn't like it. It was ok because it kept my attention for a reasonable amount of time, tho~ otherwise, it was way too cutesy-cutesy for my taste :sweatdrop:

its about an angel, Misha that comes to earth to "protect" a kid named kotarou (somethin like that) who does not have a mother and his father is always away so he's basically on his own. the story line is why the heck Misha is on earth, I guess... the artwork's cute but after rereading the series, I still don't get it

Well there are obvious diferences in the manga and anime.

Manga is more serious (I read almost all the volumes now.)

Anime is the light-hearted one.

Would you guys like me to describe some key points in Pita Ten so you can learn more?

Yes, Pitaten takes a while to get into, it gets pretty confusing at first, you suddenly skip about in wierd ways ^^ anyways..

Okies, here is the story...

Misha comes to earth.. stalks Kotarou... and she says she is an angel. His friends, Ten and Koboshi, like her [though Koboshi feels Misha is invading in on Kotarou X__X she loves him to death.] and they have some wierd times. Then, anotehr girl shows up... Shia. She is really a demon, dying, as all she knows is how to wear white, since she is a disgrace to the demon population. And Misha wears black, since she is a disgrace to the angel community. There is something up with Shia... and as times go on, they discover what it is..

So kinda, the story shifts from Shia as important storyline, to Misha in the last two books.

The main premise of Pita Ten is comedy from the start, but it shifts to drama in the end.

Its strange, they say some things are comedy, but really they aren't... eg. Furuba... thats not comedy...

But Pita ten is comedy till about the last two books, where its tears tears tears.

If you like a light-hearted story pick the Anime.

Drama, pick the manga.

Anime sometimes is worse, in a way... since.. they cut a lot to fit it in.

But it's not sooo sad as in the manga but I think the manga is better in the question of storyline...
But when I watch the anime I can laugh my brain out...so I really like both! X3

Yeah, I am a big fan of Pita Ten and absolutly love the Manga, but I never watched the Anime yet. I also purchased a out of print Pita Ten artbook from my friend and the artwork is totally cool.

Anyway a Pita Ten fan book published by Tokyopop has recently been released. Anyone got the book yet? basically my brother brought it last week and I had a quick look through it and thought that it was not that good. It's kinda like the Di Gi Charat manga series published by Broccoli and VIZ with several short stories by different Manga artist as well as a few of Koge-Donbo's.

the anime has a different ending then the manga....I like the manga better, but the anime is geared for more for kids...
but it's still cute ^_^

I watched a few Pita Ten episodes once more just  some hours ago and I must say once more that I think Koboshi Uematsu is the sweetest girl in this serie!
I like her even more than Misha!!!

- the last two episodes were the sadest ones in all the episodes of this cute serie. i feel bad for Ten-chan cuz Shia didn't notice Ten's feelings but i think   that they were a good couple.
- kotaru's feelings toward Misha were love or just friendship? i'm not sure about it :)
