Have anyone seen this anime before? I've only seen 5 episodes of it, but I love it already and I think that it's hilarious! :haha: If you did whois your favorite character? I like Yuri the best! He's nice, forgiving, loves peace and it's funny how he's sometimes clueless of the culture they have in the demon tribe because he just arrived there and suddenly became the Demon King.

i have seen al least 50 episodes.
it's really funny and cute. my favorite character is Wolfram, he is so funny when he gets jelous over Yuri, he takes the engament more seriously than Yuri does.

I love Kyou Kara Maou! I've seen all the subbed episodes. It's hilarious. Wolfram is my favorite.
Also, if you've seen the character of Ryan (the guy with the sandbear/panda), he is voiced by the same seiyuu as Fai XD

KKM is one of my favourite animes. ^^
Fav character is Wolfram. I think that he and Yuuri together are adorable. They have some real sweet moments around the middle of the series and towards the end (I don't want to specify what since I don't want to give away spoilers but there are some completely adorable moments between the two).
I knew about Fye's VA being in it. When I first heard Ryan I thought his voice sounded familiar but couldn't place it (unlike others of the KKM cast which were also familiar) so I ended looking it up and discovered the VA also did Fye.

This is one of my favorite series that has ended. i've finished its entire series. I watched raw in latter part because the fansub group is a little slow in releasing new episodes. The story is nice with a twist in the end. I like its bgm and op/ed theme. Every episode gives me a good laugh.

Try youtube again in a few weeks. Up until last week they were there but then some "issues" happened and youtube ended up deleting a lot of the anime there. I know that slowly stuff is being re-added but it's taking time since so much stuff was lost.

Kyou Kara Maou is such an underrated anime! I loved it when I watched it, but subbing has been quite slow lately and I've been too lazy to download the raws using BitTorrent, so I stopped xD I think I'll wait till more subs come out and then download them and watch them all at once. I stopped around episode 60 or so.
My favourite character is Conrad. :3 I'm not really a fan of shounen-ai, so.... I know, wrong anime to watch. But I just choose to ignore all the boyxboy hintings xD

Thanks Meliwan. Is worth watching all 78 episodes? Animax is showing it right now and its quite funny. Can't quite believe Wolfram is a boy since he acts so much like a girl. :rotfl:

I'd say yes that it's worth watching all 78 eps. The main storyline starts around ep 24(?), I know the ep is called 'Conrad's Arm' but I can't remember the ep number but that story goes on right until the last episode (every so often there will be an odd ep that is something different, especially between getting the 2nd and 3rd box, but mainly it's the one storyline that gets all the focus).

i loveeeeeeeee wolfram!!!!!!! he is so sweet with yuuri eventhough he calls him a wimp a lot, he cares about him a lot, i think that in order to protect yuuri he could sacrifice his life. :) i love him

I liked Kyou Kara Maoh! But i was disappointed that the majority of fans shipped WolframxYuuri. I was like the only person (at least in the english speaking community) who likes ConradXYuuri.
But anyway. I really enjoyed the show. I'm still waiting for the subs to finish so i can rewatch all the episodes. I watched all the episodes raw.

I've seen all 78 eps, and read a few snippets of the novels. I love it.
Yuuri is my favorite character, followed by Wolfram. I actually can't stand Conrad for a variety of reasons, though I started to not hate him as much near the end. I'm a Yuuri x Wolfram shipper, but I can understand Conrad x Yuuri. To me, after seeing it, those are the only two pairings that make any sense. I absolutely HATE KKM fanfic where they turn Wolfram into a **** and have him screwed by everyone. It makes me sad because he's a great character, and a lot of fanfic writers ruin his characterization for the sake of smut.
I've written fanfics for Yuuram with Kuromori, actually. Apparently people liked them a lot. She's written one on her own, too. "Broken Dreams" is Kuromori's, and we've written "Harvest Festival" and "Blood Boundaries" together. :D So if anyone read those, that was us. :D

Did they ever finish the anime? I kinda stopped watching during the Bob episodes, because the fansubbers were on hiatus.

^ Japann has finished airing it along time ago. But the fansubbers are still very behind. They release an episode every 2 months or something. I haven't been following them. They're too slow.

I love Yuuri Shiboya love that name to Shiboya lol oh and there are up to 60 ep on youtube all fansubed tho.If you want the english ones they go up to Vol.5 I think it was and there like $21.99 but you can get them lower on Ebay or something.........oh and I'm a big big Yuuram fan there so cute ^_____^

Well, back when KKM was all the rage, i hardly see any ConradXYuuri fans. But i do see a few here and there but the YuurixWolfram fans are everywhere! They outnumber the ConXYuu fans by a lot. But then i guess it doesn't matter. There's no official pairing in the anime.
The manga is still ongoing, so they might officialize one of the two pairings. I hope it's ConxYuu. They're so sweet!

^_^ The author's favorite character is Wolfram, though, so who knows. The manga looks like it's following the novels more closely. I get the chapters every month. :D
It's hard to say, though, because the novels don't really lean one way or another, even if the drama's do lean towards YuuRam.
I think most of the people who like Yuuri x Wolfram don't actually like the pairing, but like Wolfram, and know Wolfram loves Yuuri, so it's like they're YuuRam fans by default. I see SO many people bash Yuuri for no good reason, and they're supposedly YuuRam fans. This is usually where the Wolf!**** fanfiction comes in and makes me sad, because Wolfram's not a **** T_T He's so noble.

I think you're right. I know it's pretty much a requirement to be a Yuuram fan on the Wolfram comm and there's more Yuuram stuff than solo!Wolfram things there, lol.

Really? The author's favorite character is Wolfram? Oh but in the novels, the author seems to draw more ConxYuu pictures. I mean, the MAJORITY is ConxYuu. So it might seems like she likes the pairing.

In an interview she said that she's not for any pairing, but that Wolfram is her favorite character. The artist and the author are different. The artist likes drawing characters that LOOK like Yuuri and Conrad together, but that doesn't mean they are. Those are just the scenes the artist chooses to draw. She has no control over the story.

I know in the game Yuuri and Wolfram marry it the ending so I'd think if any pairing would be made official it would be them.

I don't know if I believe that without actually seeing the complete ending.
The creators of the series (the novel, the manga, and the anime) have all stated dozens of times that they aren't pushing any one pairing, so I find it hard to believe they'd allow it to happen in the game.

Actually, I heard the game is almost like a dating sim but not really, so you can choose to lead up to Yuuri/whoever you want in the end.

Yeah I think that's right. *thinks* There's like different paths or something the player can take to determine who Yuuri ends up with but it's suppose to be only in the Wolfram ending where Yuuri ends up married; in the rest he suppose to just end up with that person. I could be wrong though since the person who mainly provides all the KKM Japanese info to the comms has been on vacation and hasn't provided her own summary of the game yet. I hope she's back soon since I miss her spoiling us.

They're picking up the manga?! YES! *dances* I hope they end up releases the novels too since I know TokyoPop also does novels.
I'm not sure if the game will be licensed. Most BL dating sim games don't. :(

^ Yeah that's what i heard. But it's still not confirmed yet. But then again, if a company licenses KKM, i definitely would think TP would do that since they're very open toward that genre of manga.
I don't think any BL game would be licensed, at least not in the next few years.

^ Why not? Personally i think TOKYOPOP is awesome with most of their manga and they don't shy away from BL like other companies. And their translatings are well done.

TokyoPop sucked originally and I still avoid older titles they've done but they're okay now. At least it's not VIZ. *stabs VIZ*

^ Yeah VIZ is horrible. I hate their editings, especially Yami no Matsuei's editings. Ugh. I can't stand it. I had wished they knew what YnM was before they licensed it then they wouldn't have to butcher it.

Definitely agree about YnM. I'm poor so I don't buy a lot of manga unless I really like it and YnM was one I would have spent the money on but fortunately I got warned on how bad it was edited before I started buying it. Something like Tokyopop, BLU or DMP should have gotten YnM since they actually deal with that genre.
VIZ bugs me so much though because I like a lot of series that were in/are in Weekly Shounen Jump in Japan and VIZ gets all those mangas since they own the English version of Shounen Jump. I save money but it really would be nice to have hard copies of my favourite series.

New Kyo Kara Maoh OVA in production
An initial website for an upcoming five-episode Kyo Kara Maoh OVA series has been unveiled at www.maruma-ova.jp. Five DVD's, each containing a single episode, will be released starting this fall. Limited-edition bags featuring concept designs from the new series will be given out to attendees of the Tokyo Anime Fest event later this month.
It would be fun!I totally hate the ending coz it is...should not be like that!I hope I can listen to Takahiro Sakurai-san "childish voice" again! XD

Its a good news to have some oav. i wonder who will sing the opening and ending credits songs. I love the adventure side and the crazyness of KKM.

One of the things that bugged me was no pretty people wore any dresses!! Yeah, Yuuri is cute but Wolfram would have looked better in a dress!! :cry:
