This is some kind of a pass card thing for bus uses....
how come Japan has so much gd stuff!! NO fair :hmp:
I bet the fans won't use it for bus..lolz
-
saw this in his LJ and it's just again one of those reasons why I wish I was in Japan... :(
I bet the fans won't use it for bus
I'll bet on that one too...
-
japan is sooo expensive to live in
-
really? I thought the manga that we're buying outside Japan are more expensive, is it not?
-
er...notice i said japan was expensive to live in...that's got nothign to do with buying things outside japan
-
hahah...but yet i still LOVE japan...and knowing that the Clamp Su exhibition is gonna end in 12/4...makes my heart ache!!!! I so wanna go there and buy all the stuff they had!!! *sigh*
-
If you only had money enough to fill a swimming pool...ready to spend for Manga/Anime stuff! *imagines* oh joy!
-
er...notice i said japan was expensive to live in...that's got nothign to do with buying things outside japan
actually, what I meant is that... oh nevermind!
-
welll yea i know what you mean...i saw a Delray edition of TRC published in HK....and it turns out to be 98 hk dollars...i was like OoO''...but the own HK translated version was only 28 hk dollars.
-
^ *nods* :)
-
haha...i told you i understand want you're thinking....lol. :hehe:
-
wa, I want the Tsubasa stationary so bad! >_<
-
Awwww, whenever I see Tsubasa/CCS/any other anime/manga merchandise I wanna cry since I can't get it. It's all too expensive for my next-to-empty pockets and it seems I can only get it if I order online . . . which I'm too paranoid to do.
[sigh] I wish I had it all.
[searches couch coushins for change] :tongue3: :sad5:
-
Tried that but didn't work.
I'm not allowed to order online anyway. *sigh*
-
do you guys use ebay? it's so good sometimes
-
ebay dun have much TRC stuff...except the purchase of manga from Delray...
but when i checked out the merchandise in yahoo.co.jp....They always have the pretty pics of the merchandise...XDDD and looking at them already makes me so happy. So i guess i'll just keep staring/saving the pictures and 'imagine' I own them... :D
-
I've seen pictures of this beautiful calender that I would give anything for.... other then that, I dont know if it I can buy it or not, but I searched google for "Tsubasa" in images, and I found an exact replica of Sakura's dress from the first cover. I cant find it anymore to give you guys a pitcure, but it was beatuiful.l
-
Well, I know one thing; i probably won't EVER get any TRC merchandise. England is sooooooooo bad when it comes to manga/anime. the only place you get manga is online... like amazon, or specialist comic book shops, and then, they only have like the first volume... and anime is as bad. there isn't a single dvd shop that sells it, apart from 1, but that only sells region 2 (europe region) and not many anime's go to region 2. and it's hard to get hold of region 1 ones online.. even though i have a multi-region dvd.
and when it comes to merchandise like toys and stuff, nothing. NOTHING.
-
aww....that's too bad. :( well, at least you now have us! :D
-
*nods*
But the bottom line is....these things are expensive! How much do you think are you going to shell out?
-
i have a TRC/xXxholic calender hanging on my wall right now ^^
-
i have a TRC/xXxholic calender hanging on my wall right now ^^
Really?! How did you get it?
-
Well, I think it would be best if you saw something you like... to get it. You may never see it again.
-
*prays with Tune* :D
-
*starts reading cheap magic books* :read2:

I know what you mean, Canada is even worse, since there isn't anything at all. There's a channel though YTV and they have a time slot called "Bionix" that shows anime, but I barely watch it since dubs just irk me. But when it comes to merchandise, especially in Calgary, nothing, natta, zip! I haven't found one store that has any anime/manga merchandise, I mean, I found a store for German chocolate (which is pretty good by the way) but nothing for anime. *sobs*
-
we have anime on cartoon network and kids WB.. but it's not like i get to see the cool ones on cartoon network! cause i don't have cable or anything...
-
The only anime they show on tv here are those crappy revised dubs. NOTHING like the original. My first anime was Sailor Moon, and the dub dissapointed me so much.... blegh.... there is this one shop nearby that gets imported magazines, manga, dvds, posters, wallscrolls, and so much merchandise!!! only thing is that i'm still broke....
-
Yeah, my first anime was DBZ, and the dubbing was horrible, like there was this crappy attempt to change the word "Beer" into "Root Beer" it was so pathetic, because the "root" was moving all around and it was so unprofessional. Dubs are the most devasting things ever.
I pity myself and my so-called country *glares at Canada*
-
Yea i totally agree...Hk dubbings r okay i guess....but they always change the opening song which totally disturbs me...nowadays HK noticed the importance of anime and started to make commercials on TV to promote them, but i think its still not done enough, but the seiyuu are okay for the dubbing.
-
at least HK's ok....singapore dub is horrigible!!! they did digimon, yugioh and one piece, i dunno if there are any more but i'm sure there is, sadly, the seiyuu is like 1: 3 characters so they juz roughen up the voice and it seem like the seiyuu has a flu and needs MC...
-
i think HK dubbing is mostly really good. they pretty much directly translate directly from jap since it's close in language... have you noticed that their voice actors are the same though? i mean, i sure there are about 10 that they use constantly
-
dubbing in singapore that is terrible is the english in kids central only...i wont buy the vcd even if they pay me to, the chinese dubs in channel 8 is much better, i think its the hk version, if i ever get to HK, i'm gona buy load of dvds...:P
-
Really?! How did you get it?
ordered from japan through a shop called 'Cartoon Gallery' in sydney. i'm sure if you look around you can find larger anime/manga shops. if you ask them for the range they usually take orders at around october. if anyone's interested i can take pictures of the pictures...
-
I agree with Espo, there isn't anything in the UK.. we have cartoon network but those are not anime they are just cartoon... at they keep repeating them over and over again its boring.... No DVD no merchandise.. I buy stuff from www.playusa.com but the dvd are limited (but free postage!) When I lived in Italy a few years ago there was loads of stuff, both in the shops and on TV.... Italians love Japan... :love4: Would really like to go one day but its sooo far away !
-
we have malls with anime stores such as cartoon field.. just that family won't let me use money for anime! which sux! cause that's what money is for!
-
money = ANIME LMAO
What's the point of having money without spending it only anime.....and basic neccesties as well XD
-
i have a TRC/xXxholic calender hanging on my wall right now ^^
ooh, I have that too^^. did you get the stamps also?
-
I'll just have to go on a hunt in France... hmm... maybe they will have some...
-
at my place therez a mall, which inside have some stores that sell manga and anime stuff-but usually very expensive ah XD
-
Yeah, everywhere seems to be expensive... lols. Best place is ebay.
-

yes yes i agree! :D
i would do ebay too.. but i'm too young and i don't think my parents' will let me anyway.
-
I just buy the mangas (for now) and hope when AnimeNEXT comes around, they'll be lots of CLAMP/TRC stuff there waiting for me X3
-
Your parents buy if for you off ebay. Then you choose, they buy!
-
bleh? I buy my stuff from ebay...it doesn't have to be paypal (credit card payments)
-

my oh my.....thks for the info but...all the stuffs are soooo expensive!!!! i mean..its like S$6++ to get a GS poster fr a slot machine thingy fr japan but to buy fr this store you juz said is like 4-5x the price...*eekkkk*....*drools at pics*...

have a cookie for the info~ :D
great, chibis for GSD~i'm gona save em for avys..... :D
-
yeah.. no doubt the stuffs there are quite expensive.. but i think its because the sellers went to japan to buy the stuffs themselves..
i remembered paying about S$6 for a pack of CCS cards..
expensive, but its definitely worth it because... they are so nice!!
ps: thanks Tune for the cookie! *winks*

OMG, me need that. So cute ^^
The thing with CLAMP's merchandise is that there all so cute that you'd go broke. I remember all those pencil boards, they are highly addictive ^^
*continues to stare at the pic*
-
[Sniffle]
Seeing that makes me wish I had money.
Or I had the guts to become a theif/credit card fraud person.
[sigh]
-
*pats*
The things CLAMP does to you.
I wish Canada had that type of merchandise around here, but for now, staring at it will do ^^
-
[over dramatic sigh]
Looking is okay....but it's just not fair.
Sometimes, I hate being here. :tongue3:
Err...Canada! Not the message board!!
-
Lol, yeah, anime isn't really big here in Canada, at least merchandise wise, I'm not counting the 'Beyblades' and Pokemon cards :P
I so wish I had that, I really do, I envy who ever has that right about now >.<
-

it's basically a summary of everything that happened in the past volumes (this book covers all material from vols. 1-7 of the manga). there are character descriptions, world descriptions, etc.

a pencil board is a thin plastic board with a pretty image on the top. they're called pencil boards because once upon a time, japanese students would place them in between the sheets of their notebook paper so that their writing wouldn't press too hard on the next page.
all (okay, maybe not ALL; maybe it's more like 90%) of all tsubasa merchandise that's been released are here: http://www.tokyojupiter.com/tsubasa/merch.html --

For those of you who buy R2 DVDs (or like me, will start buying BECAUSE of Tsubasa Chronicle), here's the latest info about the DVDs to be released in Japan:
The first DVD wil be released on 26-August.
DVD 1 contains episodes 1 & 2. An 8-page booklet included.
Special Features: textless intro & outro, trailer(s)
The schedule for the rest of the DVDs is as follows:
Vol.1 8/26 | 3,800 yen | 2 eps
Vol.2 9/23 | 6,000 yen | 4 eps
Vol.3 10/28
Vol.4 11/25
Vol.5 12/23
Vol.6 1/27
Vol.7 2/24
I think volumes 3-7 will have 4 episodes each if they are sticking to the 26-episode count that they mentioned in the beginning.
-

I look up Tsubasa info all the time from the JP sites (what? I multi-task at work). Plus, there are some other msg boards that post general DVD info and I just pick those up too.
-

-
Of course that doesn't count! Everyone goes to the States... :tongue3:
I wanna go to Japan and steal every piece of merchandise out there... Muahahaha!
