Post by: Sya0ran on January 22 2006, 11:00 am: Actually, I don't really know where this thread belongs so if one of the mods could locate it in its proper place please do so. ^^; Anyway, the "Tsubasa Radio Show" is an ongoing radio program that started last year in 6/3/05 (June 3, 2005) and it has a new show every weekend.

It features the whole cast of Tsubasa Chronicle (mainly Sakura, Mokona, Syaoran, Fay & Kurogane) on a radio program talking about many different things. Its actually pretty funny if you understand a few things here and there. (like Kurogane, Syaoran and Fay singing "Blaze" . . . lmao)

If anyone could care to translate whatever they are saying (I can't understand japanese that well...) please do so! Everyone would surely appreciate it!! :D I put together the first season in one file and the second season is being added every week. Some of them are hosted on my domain so please download one file at a time please to save bandwidth. The first file for season 2 was converted by Laliho-chan from the TRC Comm.

I listen to their shows, though I don't understand more than half of it. :sweatdrop: I'm getting there though! Listening to them talk is so awsome, I especially liked the one when they talked about Kurogane's nicknames. And the ones with Irino Miyu.

Namikawa Daisuke doesn't sound that much like Fay on the radio. o.O; Haha. But that's ok. He has the ability to change his voice/tone...whoa. XD Irino and Inada on the otherhand sound exactly like their characters. I'm especially obsessed with the ones with Irino Miyu in it. lol Its also especially hilarious when Inada, Irino and Daisuke were singing "Blaze." lmao.

Um, those are files that connects you to the website through Windows Media Player (Which means it buffers), but the website's down. ^^; Is there by any chance that someone recorded the episodes and encoded them into mp3 format? ._.

Lol, Namikawa-san sure knows how to change his voice. XD

lol Actually, we all knew that (including me). :P Its just that, I'm not sure if she's talking about the names in the Puri Sute site (when you translate the site from jap to eng) or the people voicing the character.

Cause in the site once you get it translated, it says "rice field" or "pasture freedom" and all that nonsense. So yeah...I'm not sure. lol

That's because the Kanji that they used for their names means that. E.g., my name's "美靜", (Um, Chinese here. ^^;) with "美" meaning beautiful and "靜" meaning quiet. That doesn't mean my name's translated to "beautiful quiet". :heh:

For Japanese, the same Kanji can have a different pronounciations, like certain Chinese Characters. (rare though) Syaoran's name is a good exaple. ^^ For Syaoran's name, "小狼", CLAMP made tha Kanji "小" to be pronounced as "Syao" and "狼" bo be pronounced as "ran". However, if you were to use those two Kanjis in daily context, they'll be pronounced differently. Quoted from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furigana),

"Japanese names are usually written in kanji. Because there are many possible readings for kanji names, including special name-only readings called nanori, furigana are often used to give the readings of names. On Japanese official forms, where the name is to be written, there is always an adjacent column for the name to be written in furigana. Usually katakana is preferred."

I am currently uploading the first season so that will be up soon. Meanwhile, the second season is up for grabs. ^^
