Title: Seeing doubles
Post by: Hypercrabby on December 27 2005, 06:02 pm: Has this thought come across anyone else's mind?
Personally, I think CLAMP's just holding out on us and will eventually show their doubles. Maybe for another movie... There's a rumor going around in the CCS movies section that there's a 3rd CCS movie where S+S meet their TRC selves. What do you guys think?

@meowzy - I wouldn't want them to see CCS versions either... if CLAMP did that, it'd be very corny. They'd have to be desperate for ideas before that happend. If they saw Clow country versions of themselves... might not be a bad movie.

And maybe its me, but I can't imagine different versions of Fai and Kurogane. I just get the sense that they're special for some reason, and one-of-a-kind. I wouldn't want to see other versions of them, at least in Tsubasa. (Now Sakaki and my roleplay versions of them, that's a different story. ^__~)

I think the only one who will meet their double is Syaoran. And we don't know yet if that Syaoran is an alternate reality version or something else.

Hm, I agree with Pikari-san. It seems weird to think that there's different versions of Fai and Kurogane. They're too original. ^_^

I'm a die-hard CCS fan, and I don't even like that concept of CCS meeting TRC. It's way to corney. It's about as bad as crossover fanfics! I love both, but it's like me putting coffee in White Zinfindale. I love both, but when put together, it would probably taste horrible! XD

(confused? sorry if my way of talking is hard to understand :sweatdrop: )

and in xxxHolic, which is crossing over with TRC, Yuuko talks about all those so called "superstitions" are actually true. (ex. if you cut your nails at night, you won't be able to attend your parent's funeral. Those who read xxxHolic saw what happpened to Watanuki... ). So in TRC, too, the superstitions commonly known in Japan are used to be "facts" rather than just a talk passed down through generations...

I hope this make sense...

I can definitely confirm that you saw that post in this forum, because I'm the one who made it. It was a thread I started when I was still a newbie, at least around July. I called the thread Doppleganger. I had just recently seen episode 25: Sakura and another Sakura, for Card Captor Sakura and in this episode the Mirror Card was causing trouble around Tomoeda and Sakura's friends thought it was made by her doppleganger. There is a superstition, which some people believe is true, that if you see a person that looks exactly like you, you'll die.

TRC Sakura/Syaoran look to be around...... 13? 14 years old? I don't know... it's rather difficult to tell age in a manga (I haven't watched the episodes, I was intentionally avoiding them so it wouldn't ruin the fun for when its licensed *WHICH IT WAS! Affording to Animesuki ;)*)

Sakura/Syaoran in CCS where around 10-12 years old (Sakura being 12 in the 2nd movie, I *THINK*)Â it would be rather... odd.. to see them meet themselves but NOT impossible

There are a countless number of dimensions, each one different from the other. Example being that, in another dimension, America could very well not exist. And in another, we could be speaking germin, in another, Japanese.. then in another, the world may not even exist. There's even another possibility that world war five may be going on somewhere else

Dimensions are kinda hectic, there confusing, I should know; all my stories revolve around dimensions (In fact, my friend and I started MAKING stories based on dimensions over 8 years ago, he does feel CLAMP stole his idea of an alternate dimension of CCS, since that was originally what we had written about seven years ago) Me? Heck... CLAMP has a lot of creation going behind them, I don't think they stole our idea, but it's to coincidential that our Sakura and Syaoran hit to close to THERE Sakura and Syaoran (And you won't find the story online, we made it online very brief, but decided to take it off just as a precaution)

Anyway. It's entirely possible CCS and TRC S/S could very well meet each other; after all, Yuuko has a replica of her staff, and she said she could it from a man named Clow, somewhere in the manga it said that (needs to go back to find it) hmmm.... this'll take awhile... (notices he has over two hundred other manga books to search through) give me a few months ok? :sweatdrop:

So yeah. It doesn't matter much to me if they meet or not. Its like..."Blah. They meet...whoo~" ... rofl.

15? Hmm..... Sakura doesn't look or act fifteen... but then again... I'm twenty but I don't act twenty ;) *if you've ever been around me, you'd know that I act kinda.... animated? (According a friend.....)*

Oh well... enough about me... I just hope if they DO introduce that type of an episode or movie, that they don't make the entrance.... stupid

Well put, CLAMP can pretty much go anywhere they want since pther dimension's rules are so loosley noted.

EVIL. What'd I do?! XD Yeah, they really are made to look about 14-15 years old to say the least. Its in Christine's site http://trc.silent-mist.com where it officially says it there. Its the interview link so yeah.

So I don't think its an issue of them not having doubles in the worlds they visit, but actually encountering that double.

And I don't think that made any sense so ignore my babble...

actual they are the kurogane & fai that travel with them

kurogane pretend not to recognise shaoran because fai said that shaoran wouldn't fight them if he knows who they are
it seems that kurogane want to train shaoran in sword fighting

something like that

as for the Clow staff in Yuuko's store room, Yuuko technicaly LIVES in the CCS world. she told watenuki in vol 2, before she sent the TRC gang on their way that there were versions of sakura and syaoran living in their wolrd, with different destinies. destinies that involve the creater of the orignal Clow staff. (i dont have the vol in frnt of me to get the exact reference she makes, but its in ch 1 of vol 2 of xxxHOLiC)

and kuma, that ruins it all for bearmoon, even the stuff not in the spoiler tags.. she's only upto date with the relases,. some people choose not to reed scanlations.

I think it would be interesting if they met up with their doubles, as long as they didn't die after of course! It wouldn't have to be CCS doubles though.
