Title: Which Harry Potter couple do you like? (R/Hr or H/Hr?) AKA HP Couples Thread
Post by: Cherry-chan on October 04 2005, 11:25 am: Well, erm, this is just a place where you can talk about your favourite Harry Potter Couples, and who you like better: Ron/Hermione or Harry/Hermione. If this is a stupid idea or it doesn't make sense, you can delete it.

Well, um, me, I personally like Harry/Hermione better than R/Hr

As for Harry.. hm. Cho, maybe. Or Ginny. *shrugs* That's my opinion anyway. I could see him with Hermione.. but she just goes with Ron. They're cute together. I like the hints given in the books and movies. I support them. You can tell by my icon. ;)

Interesting, because I always thought that the movies hinted towards Ron and Hermione. As far as the books go, I didn't see any kind of relationship towards Ron and Hermione at least until book 4. That's just my opinion. It's possible that I'm wrong.

I think your right, Moezy-chan. They were mostly just friend thoughtout the first three books. ( Expect for in the thrid movie, of course.. )

I started to support them after reading the books ( because of the small hints in each one ) and reading various fanfictions about them as I read the books. They're probably as of right now my favorite pairing in Harry Potter aside from James/Lily ( even though it's never mentioned much in the books..maybe later on, I'm hoping. I'm only starting to read book five. )

Then I'm assuming that you haven't read book 6 yet. I'll say this then. Minna-san, until moonprincess18 has finished reading all 6 books, let's refrain from mentioning any spoilers. If need be, use spoiler tags so she can enjoy the books all the way through. I hope this is alright with you moonprincess-chan.

Trust me on this, if you find out what happens now, you'll regret it later. Question though, do you know any spoilers so far for book 5 or 6?

Back on topic, the books don't really dwell on it until at least book 4, maybe book 3 if you look hard, so why did they start hooking up Ron and Hermione in like the 2nd movie? Did they know that J.K. Rowling would be pairing them up, or was J.K. Rowling influenced to put Ron and Hermione together because of the movies? Any speculations on this?

I want to go on a debate about this now because my mind is swarming with ideas, but if I did, I know I would definately be going off topic. We could continue this in the other Harry Potter Thread, but that thread has spoilers galore. In the end it's up to you. I just don't want to ruin the endings for you.

I don't have anything against Harry/Hermione though. As you all said, anything's possible with her. But I agree with Starfire... I really like the Harry/Luna pairing. Luna just seems to relate with Harry on some things. Or maybe it's just that Luna reminds me of me. ^^;;

The shonen-ai fangirl in me has to say my favorite couple is Sirius/ Lupin. It's probably unlikely, now that Lupin is with Tonks (>.< Oh well, he deserved to be happy, poor guy...). If anyone is interested, the best fanfiction ever for Sirius/ Lupin can be read here! Under the Full Moony (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2518799/1/) It's mostly fluffy and angsty shonen-ai (not yaoi), and the author really knows her Harry Potter.

Personally, I think Ron and Hermione make an awsome couple, they are always fighting (and normally, I notice flirting, hehe) but out of it, IÂ think they look cute together.Â :heh:

Another couple I like is Harry and Ginny together. I won't spoil anything, but I will just metion one of my favorite books so far is HP 6. Even though I wanted to kill Ron so badly....heheÂ :XD:

The romance was great, and I also liked how they converted this from a light movie to a darker one.

The R/Hr pairing is okay with me, but I think I really love the idea of H/Hr :inlove:

No, You're not alone... Ron and Herminone all the way!

I have yet to see that movie though, I'll probably wait till it comes out on DVD or something. I'd rather not spend too much on something that might ruin the whole story like the last one did.

It seems that the only bit of Hr*R appeared mostly on the third movie (my favorite movie until now)Â :hello2:

I liked the Goblet of Fire, but it was too fast for me, heheÂ :okay:

At least the HR*H fans are extremely happy about it, and it makes me feel kinda happy too, heheÂ :wink:

The movies seem to be focusing more on H/Hr (:keke:) than R/Hr. However, the books focus on R/Hr.

But then, I enjoy relationships that start as rivalries or mutual distaste (examples- Syaoran/Sakura-CCS, Usagi/Mamoru-Sailor Moon, Jesse/Suze-The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot...)

I was hoping Luna's character would flush out more, and was kind of on a Luna/Harry thing for a while. Now I think I'm more for Harry not ending up with anyone. Kind of a Frodo-esque thing. Like, it won't be possible for him to move past the things he's going to have to experience. Or, you know, there's always the chance that he'll die ::starts crying::

But if not that, Harry/Ginny, all the way.

But my favourite HP couple of all time is definitly George Weasley and me! *glomps George*

Rowling-sama! Hurry up with the next book!

i'm Hermione+Ron... besides hermione and harry its impossible for them together, i cant imagine them together and we can't separete R+H... they love each other and thats true..the last book says it all.
