Hello there, I'm new here.
I'm planning on buying the Tsubasa Chronicle manga, and was wondering if I should go for the regular softcover tankoubon or the hardcover deluxe. eep, yes, I know I sound a little obsessed.... but seriously. which one would you rather go for??....
-
For me the regular version is enough! *don't swim in money*
It's more handy!!!
-
If I had the money I would get the hardcover, but since I can't buy it since I don't have that much money, I think I will buy the normal kind....
It depends if you have the money and the obssesion :sweatdrop:
-
depends on how much you want the books. I would prefer the hardbacks, them having the colour pages, but the I like the soft versions' covers better :keke:
..I'm planning on buying the hardbacks too! :sweatdrop:

I reccomend the soft versions. why? with the soft cover versions they are cheaper, for starters. Also, many of the soft cover books have better pics, in my opinion. I like some of the soft cover cover pics better. I think you should by all the soft cover ones frst. then think about possibly getting your favorite volume in hardcover also.
I bought the first volume in hardcover for collectable reasons, and plan on getting the 6th one in hardcover too, even though I have all 6 del rey manga in soft cover. ^.^ obsessed.

I heard that the first and second volume of the TRC hardcover mangas are currently out pf print and possibly the third volume too. Therefore it may be piontless collecting the hardcovers if you want the whole hardback manga series. I personally like hardcovers better, it may be more expensive, but its worth it. The hard back features a lovely cardboard sleeve cover and the artwork on the covers are much more nicer.
I guess you may want to get the soft covers if you want the full set.

I got the first hardback and it is quality! Plus, I quite like collecting old qinpu (guqin zither tablature) facsimilies and the hardback have a sort of elegance similar to them, in terms of them being in cases (also motivated to put my appreciation seal/chop on them).
For me, I'll buy all the English Del-ray as paperback and the Japanese Kodansha as a hardback version.

I finally made a decision - I ordered the hardback editions of volume 1-3 online. I hope this was a good decision! ^^
-
Cool you manage to order vol 1-3 even though I heard they are out of print?
Anyway I say you made a good choice because its only $5 extra which is not alot and plus you get a postcard and a nice cardboard sleeve cover with the hardbacks, hope you like them when you recieve your order ^_-

Soft cover's are convenient. Hard covers are cool with an extra. Either one is fine but I'll stick to the soft ones. ^_^

Animebooks.com still had them in stock when I bought them..... I checked a few days ago, and they're out of stock of Vol 1 now.
These books cost a bit more, but I've decided to make them my guilty pleasure. ^^

They sure feel nice to the touch, plus having an elegant appearance. Probably last for several centuries! Hand them down the family generation!

Where did you hear they're out of print? I think your source for that information is inaccurate. Japanese bookstores in my area constantly restock the hardcover editions of Tsubasa every few weeks or so.

Probably meant limited editions? lol

I suppose they maybe limited editions afetr all, but what I heard from another site, they were out of print.

Maybe after getting all the soft versions I may get the hard cover ones...IF I have any money left.
