-^^- I started this in CCS board, but now I am asking in general. I'd have to say Manga. It is easier to buy, and you can take it anywhere. Plus, sometimes I think that they change too much from the manga.

ooooh, this is a toughie *thinks hard*
I'd have to say Anime, since it has music and colour and they're moving around. I like manga to, especially since an anime is always based on the manga. But then I would like manga more....I just confused my self >.<
I guess it depends what type of manga, and how good the anime interpertes it, I think that's the best answer ^_^

Manga. Why? Because it is more transportable. You can take it here there and everywhere. And sometimes anime is cut to fit in everything. Though sometimes I prefer anime. But I must say manga overall.

i think it really depends on which aniem or manga were talking about. if its an anime that thrives on great voice acting, music, story and cinematics then it can be truly rewarding. plus it can maybe take the element of excitment up a notch with atmosphere sights and sounds that we can actually hear, not read.
and yea manga is great because of the storylines (thats what its all come down to basically anyway, if it has a bad story you won't want anything to do with it right ?) and some manga has truly amazing artwork. the best things about manga is that if there is an anime counterpart, the manga is probably better (perfect example, Love Hina. Amazingly great and funny Manga. Anime wasn't as good)
So i think i'd Choose Manga... or am i hypocrit for putting more better things about anime ?
i guess to get anime is easier where i am. Manga is a hard thing to find in my town >.>

lol. Another reason I prefer manga, is that it leaves alot more to the imagination, like surronding sceenery, voices, and so on...

oooo.....i like mangas more for definate, graphics is definately much impressive in manga ~hee~ i live on books really :P

Although I prefer manga, I'm starting to feel bad for anime... at least in teh pool it has no vote...

While there are times where I prefer the anime version of a series over the manga version (like with CCS), in general I prefer manga over anime. The stories, characters, artwork, and pacing are almost always better in the manga version. Manga is very portable, so you can take it wherever you go and it's a lot cheaper than anime, too! Most anime DVDs usually cost around $30, but you can buy manga for as low as $7 and that's a great deal if you ask me for such great series! Also, with manga you don't have to deal with so much censorship or those dub vs. sub wars like you do with anime.

Have to go with the manga. They tend to be more informative with information and small details than their anime counterparts :wink:

Whichever the original is for the particular series... Like, for CCS, I prefer the manga to the anime, but for Escaflowne I prefer the anime to the (yeek) manga.

It really depends. If it's an action-filled type thing, I usually prefer the anime. Unless it got butchered. >_<
For more intellectual affairs, I prefer the manga. It just kind of adds to the suspense when the pace isn't pre-determined.

Definatly Manga! I can take it where ever I need to be without needing a computer or DVD player. :)

I'm one of the few who chose anime.....I just enjoy hearing the seiyuu/VAs, and I like the background music that gets added to it. And sometimes the humour/romance gets put acroos much better too. Like In Fruits Basket - it always seems funnier to me in the anime than the manga. And in CCS, Syaoran's love for Sakura was much more carefully developed and drawn out.
However, manga is very good too, and in some cases better than the anime. But in my opinion, cases like these are not in the majority.

Manga would be easier to carry around with you on trips..But if you have to much manga it gets quite heavy :sweatdrop: Anime would probably be easier though if you go on trips..Like if you have a laptop or something like that and you have the anime saved onto it you could watch it ^_^

yeah.. you can carry your manga and read it at the bus, on in the plane if you're traveling xD
I prefer anime ;D because i like to watch the images in movement!

Wahh! I like both! It was so hard to choose! I ended up picking anime cause I like seeing all the chracters in animation. I like the voices and music too! However, like many people said, manga is usually better than the anime. They sometimes cut out or change certain parts in the anime, and the manga is usually more funny than the anime.
Anyway, I pretty much like both equally.

I chose manga, however, I love adding voices and making the actions actually move. So I love anime as well.... really hard to pick :sweatdrop:

MANGA! Hyuu, it's compact, easy to carry around, and it's original. In anime, they sometimes change some things.

I love both Anime & Manga, but my overall vote goes to Manga because it is the original story.
Sure there are advantages and disadvantages of both Anime & Manga.
For example Anime you get to see full colour and characters come to life, however the artwork is not as good as the Manga and there are other stuff which I am too lazy to write, ^o^
