Well... there doesn't seem to be a Touya and Yuki thread. If there is. I've over looked it. Woops... if not. Well, I'll start one! XD
To begin with, Touya and Yuki are the most cutest couple in CLAMPS history. As far as I'm concerned. So so so so cute!!! XDDD
The way they got together (in the manga) was bitter sweet. I actually got the manga for the T/Y couple. Lol. ^^' And also, while Yuki was sick. The way Touya was acting was adorable. So caring. The perfect couple I say. Touya the gruff, loner guy. And Yuki. The sweet, innocent boy.

I love them together! I just love how they care so much about one another.
I love the scene in episode 62 (I believe) where Touya sees Yukito dissapering and hugs him. ^^
By the way you couldn't have a picked a better title for this thread. ^^

Yeah. I like it when he's trying to tell Yuki that he knows about Yue and pushes him against the tree XDDD
Also. One thing that is interesting is how they became friends when Yuki transferred. (sp?). I mean. From what Sakura said to Syaoran during that camp thing. They must of made a connection pretty quickly. I'd love to see how it happened. I mean. They must have gotten close quickly. Because Touya doesn't seem the person to befriend people.
Thanks! I thought it sounded cute. I love Yukis "Snow bunny" name meaning and nick name.

Well I've only heard the stupid dubbed version. But I'm guessing it's the original Jap version he pronounces the name "To-ya".
Speaking of the dubbed version. Isn't it stupid. Agh... they changed it all. If you didn't already know Touya and Yuki where in love. You wouldn't have a clue.

I'm glad you started this thread! Touya and Yukito are probably tied with Kuro and Fai as my favorite couple! X3 I've bought only the last season of CCS on DVD so I could watch Touya and Yuki. The only DVD I still need is the one where Touya visits Yuki on New Years... ><
I can't really hear the difference between 'Touya' and 'To-ya' either... But the nickname calling is so kawaii and sweet! Their whole relationship makes me melt.

Touya visits Yuki on New Years at his house because he was supposed to meet him and Sakura at the shrine but never showed up... It turned out that he collapsed again. I forget which episode number that is.
I haven't seen it either. I've only read summaries and seen screenshots. But I so wanna buy that one... @_@
And you know, I always think about what they do in Touya's room. ^___^ Especially after they confessed that they like each other, like from volume 4 and on. I love the end of the 6th volume, when Yuki stays over for the night. Teehee! X3

Touya and Yukito's relationship can be described with one word: perfection. I never thought I'd ever obsess over a pairing, but well, I guess there's no denying the truth, considering I spent hours pointing out every scene in both the manga and the anime for a friend in denial, which showed they were a couple. And guess what? In the end, he admitted I was right! :keke:

And on the "To-ya" thing. I've been downloading episodes all day XD and he does kind of pronounce it like that. I listend closely. Lol. Ear almost to the speaker of my computer.
Some people STILL think they are... just freinds. How could they be? Yuki came right out and said he loced Touya. To Sakura. Proof enough. And heaps of other things. In denial.

Ah, yes, the To-ya thingie. I hear the difference, but I find it much harder to pronounce it differently (though it does work if I'm focused). Another proof the body is kind of useless compared to the mind. Or maybe I just need some practise. Speaking of which, I wonder if he's supposed to pronounce it that way? I mean, since Touya's name is written in kanji, they couldn't have written it in katakana or something when Yuki pronounces it to differ it from everyone else's pronounication, right? So, sadly enough, I suppose it isn't a nickname after all...
That is indeed strange! Take my my friend mentioned above, for example. He, despite not having seen the episode where Tomoyo says she loves Sakura, had no problem realizing the nature of this relationship, but even after hearing the Confessing he wouldn't admitt that Touya and Yukito were in love. I mean, seriously, if all you've seen is *shudder* Cardcaptors, then sure it's understandable, but CCS?

(le sigh) Some people are just silly that way. If any of you have read TB or X, I know some people who are in denial that Seishirou and Subaru are in love. I'll give you that their relationship is about as far from normal as you can get, but still... they are in love. Anywho. Back to To-ya/Yuki. When do you think Sakura realized Yuki was in love with To-ya? After all, she was the first one to straight out say what was/is blaringly obvious.

Oh by the way LadyUltima, I think Sakura realizes that Yuki loves Touya when she tells Yuki that she loves him in the anime and he says that he already loves someone else. Then I think maybe she realizes it's Touya then. I dunno maybe I just imagined that just now. Lol.

I thought it was always obvious that they liked each other; that's why I knew Sakura wouldn't end up with him, which is sadly the only thing that really got me through the first arc. I hated the fact that she was still all 'Yukito-san's so cooool!', but hey, thats the way crushes go.
But Touya and Yukito were always with each other, and always either somehow touching or speaking in a way that said 'Yeah, I like you'. So...I didn't think there was controversy over that particular coupling.

I love that scene too. And all the other times Touya gently touches Yuki, or teases him by pinching his cheeks/playing with his face. Such a sweet couple.
I just watched a Touya and Yuki video on YouTube and saw lots of clips I haven't seen before, especially from the 1st season. There was one where Yuki had his arm around Touya's shoulders and grabbed a pen from Touya, and another where Touya was sitting under a tree reading with Yuki above him in a hammock. I wanna see those episodes! X3

The scene with Yukito around Touya's arms is from episode 34 of CCS and the scene where Touya is in the hammock above Yukito is from episode 16 "Sakura And The Rainbow Of Memories" where Sakura meets that old man in the mansion. And does anyone else ever wonder how Fujitaka would react if he found out about Touya and Yukito's relationship? Fujitaka has always been portrayed as being a very kind and understanding father, but then Touya and Yukito seem to keep their relationship in private for some reason, so it makes you wonder how Fujitaka would react if he ever found out.

Hoshisenshi: I adore that music video! Can't tell how many times I've watched it. Could there ever be a more perfect theme song for this couple? But I see your true colors shining true, True colors, that why I love you, so don't be afraid to let them show... Whoever made it is a genius.

Really, I can't imagine anything else than that he would be very happy for their sake, not thinking it unnatural or anything like that. As you said, Fujitaka is very gentle and understanding, it would be quite out of character for him if he dissaproved with his son's partner of choice, more likely is that he would be happy as long as Touya is. As for Touya and Yukito keeping it kind of secret, I wouldn't reckon that's because they're afraid of Fujitaka's - or anyone else's, for that matter - reaction, it's just that Touya especially isn't very keen on letting people in on his private life. Take how he even won't admit to Yuki that he cares for his little sister - I would say he doesn't tell his father simply out of automatism, since he isn't used to talk to people about his life and feelings.

I've always thought Fujitaka would be accepting of Touya and Yukito's relationship, but that may only be because I've read many fanfictions that give him an understanding reaction. Since Touya and Yukito hang around together a lot, maybe Fujitaka would at least see that they're very important and close to one another.

And I've never considered Fujitaka having anything but a positive reaction to Touya and Yuki's relationship. I simply couldn't imagine him being bothered by it; he's such a kind and sweet person. And after all, he also was in a highly nontraditional romance himself. It'd be hypocritical of him to be against his son's non-traditional romance.

I had such a sad dream last night which I just have to write about somewhere. Endure:
Yukito was having lunch break, and since he knew Touya would finish his lesson a bit later, he went to the school cafeteria by himself (appearantly, my mind didn't take into consideration that Japanese students bring their own bento, nor that they use chopsticks. Or that pancakes with jam isn't allthat Japanese...).
Once there, he sat down by an empty table and started his meal, and within minutes, Touya arrived. Smiling and waving, Yukito gestured to him to come and sit next to him, and Touya approached him with a stern look on his face and said: 'Tsukishiro [not Yuki!]... The two of us... won't be together anymore [or something along those lines. He might just as well have said 'we won't be friends anymore']...', and then he turned away and sat down to eat with a couple of other people. Yukito dropped his knife and fork (hrm) and ran out of the cafeteria, eyes burning.
The following day, Yukito did his best to avoid Touya, not knowing how to confront him. How should he address him? Should he go by To-ya or Kinomoto-san? And maybe it would be better if he waited a couple of days with talking to him? (this is where I, surveing the whole scene, started to mentally yell to Yukito that he by no means could let such a beautiful relationship go to waste just out of fear of confronting the other boy - hey, maybe I saw all this from Yue's point of view!)
Eventually, Yukito decided to try to find a moment alone with Touya so that they could talk, but that proved to be much more difficult than he had imagined - things constantly got in the way. Frustrating to say the least. But at least this time, it wasn't Nakuru's fault.
And this is where I woke up. They never had a chance to sort things out, and neither Yukito nor I ever found out why Touya broke up. :sad10:

It reminds me of a really awful fanfic I read once where Yuki told Touya he was in love with him, and Touya smacked him for insulting his manliness by insinuating a homosexual relationship... or something. It was completely out-of-character- even IF Touya weren't in love with Yuki, he would NEVER hit him. And neither would he be insulted by the idea of homosexuality. Touya is FAR more open-minded than that.
As an antidote to that awful dream, I will post a link to the Touya/Yuki livejournal community.

Very detailed dream! And it stuck to a normal story line, mine go all weird.
Believe me, I seldom have such normal dreams... Just some nights ago, I dreamt that that pervert guy in Inuyasha (and I haven't even seen that show!) was forced to marry a robot guinea pig, but then the guinea pig ran away and... Ahem, yeah...
Anyhow. I was thinking about Touya's name. I had a vague memory of reading that only the first kanji in his name means peach (and that it can mean other things as well, depending on pronounication and context), so I decided to look it up. It appears that the first kanji of his name means "peach" - or/and "peach tree" - and that the other kanji means "arrow", thus Peach Arrow or maybe "an arrow made out of peach tree". And since "peach blossom" in Japanese is hana no momo, Touya's name cannot mean that. If someone who is fluent in Japanese sees this and thinks I'm totally wrong, please don't hesitate to correct me. :sweatdrop:

Yes, that *was* a terrible fanfic. And the guy's reason for writing it was that he was tired of stories where Touya and Yuki ended up happily ever after. What a pathetic excuse.

So, I know this is the CCS forum, but I decided to start a bit of conversation about Touya and Yuki in TRC (meaning the Touya and Yuki from Clow country). We can all surely agree that Touya and Yuki are as in love with each other in TRC as in CCS. But how far do you think their relationship has gone in TRC? Have they admitted they love each other, or have they not? Personally, I don't believe they have yet admitted their feelings in TRC, since Touya told Yuki in the first chapitre of TRC that they were 'old friends.' If they were 'together' at that point, Touya wouldn't have phrased it like that. But there is the possibility that their relationship has developed since the first chapitres. Without Clow, Fujitaka, or Sakura, Yuki really would seem to have become Touya's only emotional support. And with an entire kingdom on his shoulders, plus the stress of the situation with Sakura, Touya needs every bit of emotional support he can get.
Also, there's another thread going about the identity of Sakura and Touya's mother in TRC. That got me to thinking- who do you think Yukito's parents are in TRC? Do you think he's human, or a magical construct like in CCS? We know very little about Yukito's past in TRC, but we do have shots of him and Touya together as very young children, so obviously Yukito was chosen as a candidate for high priest very young and, if he has parents, would have been taken from them very early too. Interesting to consider.

I think Touya and Yukito are already in love with each other in Tsubasa. In the fansub of episode one that I have, Touya said to Yukito that "We were once old friends" or something to that extent. I'll have to re-check it again later to get the exact quote because it's been a while since I've seen it, but it always gave me the impression that Touya was comparing his relationship with Yukito to Sakura's relationship with Shaoran. As for Yukito's parents, I think Yukito is still a magical construct in Tsubasa because in one episode Sakura said that the high priest (aka Yukito) was the only one in the Clow kingdom who had any special powers, which leads me to believe that Yukito was created differently from everybody else in the Clow kingdom.
