Title: do u think ccs clow cards r real?
Post by: cblossom on April 08 2005, 11:29 am: Im just asking because allot of ppl have different
opinions and probally think Im wierd for asking this but
do u think cardcaptor sakura (the clow cards) r real?
I want to answer my opinion but I think....ya bcuz well....
I just do I guess.(u must think Im crazy now)

Interesting...interesting indeed.

Keep in mind magic can mean different things to different people. To many, magic is something that can't be explained...to others, it's tarot cards, pixie dust and boiling cauldrons...it's a matter of explainations.

Could the Clow Card magicks exist here in what we call the real, tangible world? Most likely the answer is no but if someone can make images appear and do feats of power without a known explaination, then one would consider it entirely possible.

And to settle another matter...FAERIES DO EXIST!!! :)

17 cards are symbolized by creatures, symbols and objects :wink:

The Japanese Clow Book = $10/$15. Nicer but again it's not really that rare.

I don't know if there is a translation anywhere.

Kero shows Sakura how to do fortune telling with the Clow cards in the episode about the Mirror card. It looks like they are laid out similiar to how you lay out Tarot cards.

So if the cards were indeed real and if a female created them, would she make many of them male in origin?!! Interesting indeed...

I don't think it is based on tarots though it looks like it has the size of an original tarot, layed out and used to do fortune telling. It doesn't have the standard card numbers of 78, major and minor acrana ,4 suits ( pentacles, sword, wand and cups), the most of all everything on the tarot card is a symbol which clow card lack, gender of the tarot card does matters!!

It seems to me Clow cards are more like oracle cards. Magic of each card which sakura called upon may be just an imagination or fantasy.

IT WAS GORGEOUS. then we went to disneyland but we had to wait literally 2 hours for each ride >< o well. its was fun tho. some ppl actually wear kimonos on the street and some ppl are really pretty ^-^ but the're so much porno around the more urban places in japan. the're like driving guys to go pick the best pic of a nude gurl. eck!!!!! so discusintg. im like *run away*

So they invented tarot cards, as A CARD GAME. Yes, tarot cards were a card game, that were used also for divination. THese eventually became the playing cards that are used for games (fish, poker etc).

Originally, the cards were designed as a magical tool, that could be hiden as another thing :D. Somehow (WOTC), cards are now really popular for other games (MTG, DM, Pokemon, etc). If the times are changing, and the world is going to embrace the old ways again, maby this is a transitional phase......

Me, i beleive magic is real. I beleive that if someone is actually focused, and wants to learn, they can learn this. I have seen things i will not post here, not many would beleive me. But when your friend can say a word, and totally immobilise our body, then you will begin to beleive.
