I didn't see any Yu-Yu Hakusho posted up. So its either I missed it, or there really isn't one. Well Im a fan of the manga and show. My favorite character would have to either be Hiei (who ive nicknamed Mr.Sunshine.) Or Yusuke. So how about you guys?
-
kurama!!! :) he is really cool and sweet, he is handsome, strong and smart :)
-
Yesh he's calm and collected as well.
-
Haven't seen this show for awhile, but now I get to watch it again because Animax is playing it. Just love the show, great action and stuff. Anyway, my favorite character here would be Yusuke.
-
HIEIII! .. He is sooo Kawaii ... My first Anime Crush ~^_^~
-
Yusuke was pretty cool. I wish they'd show the last few episodes of it on Toonami or something because they stopped on like the next to last season.
-
I know! that sucks butt XD

Yeah, they do have a really bad habit of cutting in the middle, or in the end for that matter. They're are showing it right now on Animax, so if you guys have that channel, you can watch it.

Yusuke is cute^_^
and Hiei he is also cute &
kurama hes kind and smart

Bumping an old topic is usually not a good thing but since this is YuYu Hakusho, we'll let it slide.
Cartoon Network (in the United States) has resumed showing the series on Saturday mornings at 5:30 am EST. I have recently bought the entire DVD series and am in the process of watching them all. I'm currently at the middle of The Dark Tournament Saga...also collect the manga of the series to boot :)
-
Kurama!
He's hot, shy, quiet, and a great fighter.
-
Oh wow! Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my fav. animes. I own all the way up to the middle of the Dark Tournament Saga. My favorite character is Hiei! I have just always loved him. ^^ So cute! Anyways I haven't seen much past the DTÂ but I saw some of the Chapter Black saga when they showed it on Cartoon network sat. nights. I really wanna keep watching it now but I can't wake up at 5:30 am to watch it. I never get up that early :/
-
Yusuke is my favorite character. I like the first arc and the last arc of the series. For some reasons, i did not enjoy Taguro's tournament.
-
yusuke is the best of all. even his dad. I am sorry to say this. but 2 or 3 week's ago. they showed the Fianl epsidoe of yuyu hakusho. there is 112 episode.
-
This is a great anime!!!! I watched it last year and I had a lot of fun during the tournaments!!! (very interestings... specially the last one *U*) KURAMA ROCKS! YeY! In Argentina the manga is being published but I don't have enough money to buy it!!! I have (must) to search for a part-time job.... What do you think? Is the manga better than the anime? Would you recommend it to me??
-
they say u that heai. or something liek that was an alien

Try 94 episodes (I think: not 100% sure) but I do know they didn't get past 100
-
mno really. they got past 100. they stop at episode 112.
-
Yep, you're right. There was a total of 112 episodes. My apologies.
-
it's ok. he goes back to normal and starts to become an adult. plus. rumors have it that they might another one with him all grown up and married to keiko
-
I missed the series too... I only watched it when it was dubbed in Filipino and very recently in Animax. I think the Filipino dubbing is actually very good.
Say, where could I get MP3s of the songs in YYH?.
-
You should try here: http://realitylapse.com/music/hakusho/mp3s.php
-
Hiei all the way! Oh, and a bit of Kurama...
I once thought of Hiei as my first anime crush. But I realized that it wasn't him...my first anime crush was Sniper, as the Filipino dub named him. He's also a character from the anime and if you've watched Chapter Black Saga...he's the one who shoots his enemies with marbles.
Just wanna ask...what does Yu Yu Hakusho mean?
-
That's a very good question! Actually I've been wondering the same....
-
^ Yu Yu Hakusho is usually translated in English as "Poltergeist Reports", though I read somewhere that it actually means "White Book on Ghosts".
-
"Kami ang mga Ghost Fighters!'
LOL! Fun memories...
-
Yeah. Eugene, Alfred, Vincent, and Dennis... I remember now. How Pinoy XD. Strangely enough, they didn't translate "Rei Gun."
-
That's one of the things I liked on it.
"Kailangan ilabas ang isang daang porsyento ng inyong lakas!"
Ah... good times.

Oh...I was really wondering about the repeated "Yu" parts...
Haha! "Rose Whip!"
Wah...I miss "Ghostfighters"...
-
I think the translation of Yu Yu Hakusho is something like this: The first "Yu" means playful, the second means ghost (and is the same as the "Yu" in "Yusuke"). The "Hakusho" literally means white paper, but referes to a government report. "Playful ghost" gets translated to "Poltergeist", thus: Poltergeist Report. Not that I actually know Japanese, I'm just remembering what I've read. I'm a Yu Yu Hakusho geek. :sweatdrop:
Kurama would be my favorite. He's so...subtly psychotic. Polite, collected, cares about his friends, but psychotic nonetheless. I totally want to be him. And Hiei is adorable (as is his sister - I adore Yukina). Love also for Yomi, Shura, Hina, Yusuke, Shizuru...most of the cast. Except for Sensui.
-
Wow! Thanks for the info, Capella! ^-^
-
You're welcome, Sayuhiro. I got something wrong, though - it's the first "Yu" that means "ghost", and the second that means "playful". The English word order messed me up. Gah.
-
Even in nglish, Yu Yu is playful XD.
